Chapter 1- Beginning of HER existence

Children are most times thought to have their earliest memories from the age of 4, but Osanna's earliest memory was from an encounter at the age of 7. They were two boys she liked as a child because of their calm nature, she was naturally attracted to calmness and peace as she never go that at home.

That was the last day of elementary school for her class, there was a lot of pure laughter echoing round the whole school; you know the mild and calm sounds children make when they are thrilled. Osanna played with her two new friends, that was the first day they interacted but it was as though they had known each other for long. She was so very happy and when her mom came to picked her up from school that was all she could talk about.

Osanna Williams was from a family of 8 both parents included, she was the second to the last of six children and had a younger brother, they were Catholic Christians. At home Osanna was not really understood or acknowledged, to put it well she was not noticed. She was chubby and everyone called her fat or had other nicknames for her, Osanna's elder brothers usually bullied her giving her different punishments saying " When you do this the stress will force you to reduce". Sometimes she cried and found a way to call her dad who told them off other times she endured it.

Osanna's father was her hero and her early memories are filled with him, though she really loved him she was also scared of him more than she was of her mom, her father was a bank manager so she didn't get to see him a lot.

She was so excited and thrilled about finishing elementary school, about to enter middle school and also about how she played with her two little crushes in school, she talked about it all night long to anyone who was wiling(or not) to hear about it. She would be having summer lessons in preparation for middle school and that also added to her joy as she hoped to make new friends during the break and see more of her school friends who would be going to separate middle schools.

After some days her mom took her to the market to get some clothes, book and other supplies. At the market, when they entered the stalls the owners usually gave her side eyes and made comments on her body type and Osanna's mom usually just waved it aside with a "I've told her to stop eating, I don't know what to do anymore" and the stall owners would recommend "procedures", although her mom didn't really put to action what the stall owners told her it still hurt Osanna that her mom couldn't stand up for her by telling them to mind their businesses. When they got home she tried to talk to her mom about it but instead her mom shunned her and sent her on an errand. She couldn't bring herself to eat that day as she felt very bad about her body type. She was starting to get self conscious and develop a hatred for her body.
