9 How Many Achievements Can I Get From A Brawl?

...D-did I just get an OP weapon? I didn't even do anything! I mean, I guess Keotex was supposed to be "unconquerable," but I did nothing to get this reward! And Keotex actually fell in love with me?! What is happening?

This world is insane. I guess it's great that I got an equally insane weapon to defend me. But what's with the plus signs? And how does this achievement thing work?

After experimenting a bit, I got some conclusions. The plus signs allow me to unlock certain features by using infamy points. Like how the Presicion Bolt has five uses with a plus. I can buy another use with...1,000,000 infamy points. For just one usage?! This is a scam!

Unlocking a feature takes 500,000,000,000 infamy points. Well, it's not like I'm going to get many infamy points. While the stuff in the shop is good, I don't need anything else after buying some basic stuff. If I need anything else, Keotex will bring me all I need. Besides, I already have the cheat that is my phone.

Let's see, I have 237 infamy points. Wait a minute, I already have a sword/gun. I'm already protected. But then again, the sword is too OP and will end up killing everyone...

I'll just buy a stealth item and some armor. Of course, not that outrageously priced plot armor!

There are ten grades. Trash, Good, Great, Exceptional, Extreme, Insane, SCAM, CHEAT, HACK, and BROKEN. Plot armor is BROKEN.

You may not think Psyche is powerful, but that's only because it's at level one. It gets EXP when I spend infamy points, at a rate of 10 infamy points to one EXP. I only have to spend ten infamy points to level it up once. I might level it if I have the points to spare.

Apparently, there's a beginner's period where I get boosted rewards for various achievements. This period lasts for half a year.

I examine the items closely. By the way, I also told Keotex about the MC shop. He already saw the app, and I'll use items to make my plans smoother. It'll be hard to keep it a secret from him, so I might as well tell him everything.

Eventually, two items are chosen.

[Cloaking Augment 0-14; Great Grade

Level 1 (0/10)

Charge: 100% (5 minutes)

Abilities: Can shield against those unaware or not paying attention.

Restrictions: Cannot move too fast or make too much noise while augment is active. After a certain threshold, the cloak will fail, resulting in discovery.]

[Dubiously Cheap Armor; Good Grade

Level 1 (0/5)

Durability: 100%

Abilities: Can withstand ten Trash Grade attacks or two Good Grade attacks.

Restrictions: Upon receiving a Great Grade attack or above, the armor will directly fail and be pierced.]

Okay, the armor is horrible, but I can't buy anything else! Anyway, this is a brawl between students, not trained soldiers. Most kids don't have better than Good Grade attacks. Of course, geniuses have better abilities and aberrants like Keotex are invincible here...

The items from the MC Shop have an invisibility mode, so I'll just turn it on. After all, armor suddenly appearing on my body is suspicious.

I turn off my phone and sit down next to Keotex. I've already told him the plan. After all, telling him in the middle of the cafeteria will expose my plans.

Basically, some students will argue and get into a fight. The academy will do nothing because fighting is encouraged. Meanwhile, a student arrived late and was on his way to the cafeteria. His name is Yuka. He loves fighting, so when he saw the battle, he immediately dived in. Actually, he's a psychopath who doesn't care who gets injured. He doesn't even care about himself!

The more injured he gets, the more excited he gets. The more fighting and blood there is, the happier he gets. Why is everyone some sort of psychopath?

Oh right. This is a world of villains. Literally even five year olds would be considered psychopaths on Earth.

Anyway, the plan is to recruit this guy into my R&D department. Yet another psychopath to add to my collection.

Why this guy? Because he's actually an alien! His race is similar to the vampires, with the whole blood sucking thing. They don't have any of the weaknesses though. If you throw garlic at them, they'd probably just look at you and wonder why you did that.

His race can create a special type of material with their magic. It can neutralize all signals and can be modified (by one of my blueprints) to negate 90% of energy. That means if a laser was shot at it, if it usually would be able to one-shot the material the laser would actually only slightly melt the material.

This material is vital to some of my blueprints. I can't find any other vamps—literally his race's name—that would be willing to work for me anywhere nearby, so the psychopathic Yuka is my best option. I could probably snag him if I let him duel Keotex or the fighting team.

Some students start shouting at each. It's starting. Eventually, one kid shoves another, then punches him. He punches back, until the situation devolves into a all-for-one. Keotex blasts anyone who gets close, but, under my request, doesn't kill anyone. I have no offensive abilities, so I can't do anything.

A student enters the cafeteria. He's on the tall side, with shoulder-length dark-brown hair with a green highlight in it. He has green-blue eyes. He's not wearing the uniform. He wears a black shirt unbuttoned on the top and a long black jacket with green lines. Star Academy doesn't really enforce that rule anyway. I'm not even wearing the uniform.

He smiles at the sight of the bloody battles. Then he rushes in, sending a group of kids flying.

I don't make my move yet. That fighting maniac is happily trading blows, who would interrupt him? I'll just get some lunch and eat it quietly...

[Ding! For eating in the middle of a battle involving 30+ people, you have earned the achievement, "Eating is Best During Battle." Obtained x1 Insane Grade Gourmet Cooking Pot, x100 Ingredient Packets, and x100 Condiment Packets.]

I'm speechless. This is an achievement? Although the cooking pot is a good item. With the ingredient and spice packets, I can cook anything I want, anywhere. I just have to whip out my pot and bam! A giant turkey, all roasted and stuffed. Delicious!

After a couple of minutes, Keotex starts to look constipated. "Are you okay? Maybe you should take a break."

Keotex shakes his head. "No I'm fine. Well, I have to go to the bathroom. But that's not as important as your safety!"

"Hey, you're not going in the middle of the cafeteria! Go now! I'll be fine!"

Keotex hesitates. "But-"

"Nope! Go!" I push him gently in the direction of the bathroom. By now, I'm sure he won't kill me for something like this.

Keotex can't reject my "order." He leaves for the bathroom.

Some people start to gang up on me. Keotex was too conspicuous. Now that he's gone, people have taken an interest in me.

They surround the table and ready their abilities. All five of them fire at once. Luckily, these people all have Trash Grade attacks, so only half of my durability goes down. I'll have to get rid of them now!

[Ding! For not flinching under attack, you have earned the achievement, "Fearless Under Pressure." You have obtained x10 Exceptional Grade Fear Gas Bombs.]

[Ding! For taking 0 damage after receiving five attacks, you have earned the achievement, "I Can Tank Five Hits Unscathed!" You have obtained x5 Extreme Grade Fatal Injury Shield Cards.]

More achievements? I didn't get any after that attack yesterday, but during a small lunch brawl, I got three at once? Then again, I didn't actually participate in the last battle...

Anyway, I'll die if I take another attack. Time for my ultimate weapon!

"If you like living, you should flee!" I threaten, materializing Psyche in its gun mode out of nowhere. Psyche in its gun form is black with some glowing red lines running through it. It looks intimidating. I really don't want to fight, please leave...

"Hah, you really think you can take on all of us?" One of the kids sneered. He appeared to be the leader. "Dream on!"

Apparently, these guys' brains are lacking. They charge up the same exact attack even though it didn't leave a scratch on me. I sigh and try to use Psyche at its lowest power setting. These guys have no armor.

I aim at the leader's legs. I pull the trigger and a red beam shoots out of the barrel. Unfortunately, while the gun doesn't have recoil, that's only for trained or at least people who have handled a gun before. I, with no experience, somehow manage to mess up my aim at slice off the leader's head! And worse, I lose my balance and slice off the heads of the other goons!

[Ding! For defeating five people, you have earned the achievement, "1 VS 5: Victory." Obtained x1 Great Great Fire Bomb.]

[Ding! For killing all opponents within three seconds, you have earned the achievement, "1 VS 5: Instakill." You have obtained x1 Extreme Grade Epic Background Music Boombox.]

Great, I got achievements. But I just killed five people! Wait, I didn't want to be a murderer! But...I guess this will happen often, somI should get used to it...

That doesn't mean I'm already used it it! Fortunately, I bought the Gore Filter, so I don't puke my guts out after seeing the headless bodies...

Suddenly, Yuka turns in my direction. Well, a lot of people do. After all, that red laser beam shot across the room and injured some people. It didn't kill anyone, but it left a deep gash on the walls.

Yuka zips towards me. Oh sh*t, Keotex isn't here! How can I recruit him?

Wait, what if he kills me? No, I have Psyche, so I'll be fine. I ready Psyche.

Yuka stops when he's within speaking distance. He stares at me with a psychotic smile. He says, "Let's battle!"

I say, "No way!"
