7 Couches Are Better For Naps

The soldiers set out. They march into formation and stealthily sneak past the academy's defenses. There's not much point, as the alarms are already blaring. Soon, soldiers wearing the academy's logo and colors intercept them. They engage in a bloody battle.

Magic and lasers fly everywhere, scorching the walls and floor. When something pierces through someone, blood sprays out like a fountain. It was very gory. Good thing I brought the Gore Filter.

Out of sight, two small teams of three sneak away from the fight. However, one of them is caught by a team from the other side. Of course the academy thought that they might try this method. Sadly for them, they didn't know about the other team.

This team was supposed to come to the cafeteria and attack to students. They knew when lunch time for the new students was. Obviously there was a mole. I'm not too concerned about her, as I already know who she is.

However, before the team reaches the cafeteria, a squad of guards step in their way. "You shall not pass!"

The soldiers stop. 'What's with the medieval line?' The thought bubble hovers over their heads.

The guards, unaware of their thoughts, charge forward. Some stay behind to launch attacks from afar. This battle is as bloody as the one from before. Although the guards have more people, they aren't as strong. The two sides are stuck in a stalemate.

That is, until the captain takes out a strange looking gun. Okay, it looks normal to me, but since it's a pistol from Earth, it looks strange to others. This pistol has a crystal embedded in the barrel.

The captain fires the gun at the guard attacking him. The gun doesn't shoot out a metal bullet, but a white beam. It's supposed to phase through any armor and material and directly hit the bones or organs of a living thing. Unfortunately for them, I know everything. Including how this experimental gun works. Later on, these guys will create a better and stronger version of the gun.

These guards are not actually academy guards, as you might have figured out. These are my fighting team employees. I told them to force the other side to show their weapons by making a stalemate. Otherwise, the soldiers would be dead already.

I mean, I have Keotex and these super geniuses on my side. These members are the future strongest team, of course they're stronger than some soldiers. I don't know why Vanales gave the guns to ordinary soldiers, or even sent them in the first place. I assume it's a plot hole from the game producers. After all, the main character and some students wouldn't withstand an elite team.

The beam hits the armor on the guard squarely. It hits the armor. It didn't phase through at all. After all, I made special armor that counters the properties of the gun. The gun then becomes useless, having no penetrative attributes.

The soldier is stunned. 'Wasn't this gun supposed to phase through any material?! Why doesn't it go through this armor? Is Star Academy so amazing?'

Pfft, no, I am. Star Academy is great in education, but it falls short in security department. After all, it gets attacked frequently. If Vanales attacked Star Academy every day, eventually they would kill everyone in the school.

Without their trump card, they lost quickly. However, the "guards" didn't kill them. Instead, they took all their guns and riddled with them. You see, the guns have a biometric lock. However, this lock can be broken at this stage. You just need the biometrics of the living person locked into it and change the settings. After all, these guns were given to average soldiers. If they wanted to give the guns to better soldiers, they needed to change the biometrics. So they made it easy to transfer authority.

After switching the biometrics, the team killed the soldiers. I'm not really okay with that, but I can't leave them alive. I don't have a good prison to keep them in. I can only kill them. At least they're soldiers who killed many people and tried to kill more.

"Akira, it's done." The captain of the team called me on his hPhone.

"Yup, I know. I'm watching you from the security cameras." I bought this function after some infamy points came in. I assume it's from the soldiers I killed, although there wasn't as much since I never told the soldiers who I am. The cameras were supposed to be broken, but my phone is magical, so it fixed them.

The captain looks a bit bewildered. "Aren't the cameras broken?"

"Yes, but they missed some." I lie. "Now go back to the ship before anyone sees you and thinks you're spies or something."

The captain nods. "Got that." He leads the team away to a hidden shuttle. The shuttle takes off and goes unnoticed under all the ship fire. There seems to be a space battle while the soldiers have a fight in the academy. The academy doesn't want more intruders, is they might as well eliminate them in space.

Keotex, now in my room sitting on my bed with me, slurps on ramen. "Are you going to finish that?" He eyes my uneaten French fries.

"Are you eating while we're being attacked?"

He shrugs. "Well, you already knew about it, and I can just kill them all, so why would I be worried? Might as well finish this delicious food."

I roll my eyes. "Sure. But you can't have the fries." I shovel some into my mouth.

Keotex looks disappointed. He quickly gets over it and finishes off the ramen.

Nothing could be heard from this far away. The dorms aren't near the docks after all. Keotex and I just eat food greedily.

"You have to clean this up." I say to Keotex, glaring at the mess on my bed.

Keotex nods. "Okay!" He takes the empty dishes and the top bedsheet to wash.

I glance at the time on my phone. The attack should be over in a few minutes. Classes are canceled for the rest of the day. I'll have to kick Tractos out when he tries to force himself into my room. He went to all the girls' rooms after the attack, when they were the most "vulnerable." He can't make me open the door!

I feel drowsy. I ate too much. Too bad my upper bedsheet is gone. I'll just have to sleep with the super thin sheet. I switch into my pjs and slip into bed. If I'm going to take a nap, I'm going to do it comfortably! Too bad I don't have a couch. Couches are better for naps.

—————

Ten minutes later, I come back with the bedsheet. The door is locked, but it is coded to me as well. Inside, Akira sleeps curled up in a fetal position. She's cold, as the academy has barely any heat. It's just enough to keep the students from dying.

I place the bedsheet on top of her. She's still too cold! Usually, people buy electric blankets or multiple layers. She has the money, why didn't Akira buy either of those things? Is this how she lived in that other world?

What am I supposed to do? How do you generate heat? Uh, fire! But if I use fire, won't I burn the bed? There's also...body heat! I'll use my body heat.

I lay down on the bed next to Akira. To generate more heat, I'll have to come into contact her her as much as possible. So I wrap her in a hug. This is good enough, right?

'This is nice.' I think before I fall asleep.
