The Other Man 6

Yumi is restless inside her car, she just couldn't erase Angelie's words in her mind,

(Flashback)

Back to the restaurant,

Yumi throws Angelie her sharp gaze, " What is the meaning of this?" She asked sternly,

Angelie straightened her body as she took a deep breath, "I know you won't believe it even if you see that photo," She said.

Yumi just stared at Angelie fiercely.

"I also know that I am in the right position to tell you the truth," Angelie spoke again, "Actually, I am trying to hold back my desire to tell you the truth, but you made me change my mind," Angelie added.

"Why won't you just go straight to the point?" Yumi said coldly.

"Alicia did nothing but to treat you the best that she can but yet, you never appreciated it. I hate seeing Alicia being mistreated by you just because you thought that she was the who ruined your family when in fact, it was your own mother," Angelie seems not to hear Yumi.

Yumi balled her hand when she heard Angelie, "What are you trying to say?!"

"I think, it's better to tell you the bitter truth rather than letting you live without knowing it," Angelie continued. "That man in the photo..." Angelie pause for a moment.

She looked up at Yumi before she continued her word, " Is your mother's lover!"

Yumi's anger burst!

She smashed the photos on Angelie's table due to anger, "Shut up!" She yelled. "This is too much!"

Yumi's chest darted up and down, her face is red, her entire body is shaking and she felt like hitting Angelie to vent all her anger!

"Do you have to go too far like this?!" She asked as she gritted her teeth."Do you have to slander my mother just to make me change my mind and accept Alicia?!"

Angelie stare back at Yumi,

"Reality is really hard to accept, Yumi. People do make mistakes," Angelie said.

"My mother can never betray me and my father," Yumi said coldly, trying to hold back her tears.

She is still in denial, she can't accept it!

Her mother will never do such a thing!

Her mother only loves her and her dad!

Angelie sighs!

"I won't insist on it, I won't force you to believe in me," Angelie said.

Yumi just went silent,

Angelie got up from her seat, she picks up her bag and then she left.

Yumi just stood in her spot. "No, this is not true," She mumbled.

"We're here Young Miss,"

Yumi looked up.

She snapped back to her senses when Japhet spoke. She did not notice that they have already arrived in the mansion.

"Oh," She replied.

She looked down at the envelope she is holding and she tightened her grip on it.

Yumi opened the car door, she gets off slowly as if she is too weak to move.

Yumi took heavy steps towards the mansion's front door. Her mind is still in chaos right now. She is confused, she wants to forget Angelie's confession but she just can't!

Yumi felt like her head is going to burst! She's going insane!

Yumi stopped when she reached the front door, she stared at the doorknob before she decided to turn it open.

She saw her father in the living room with Alicia beside him. They are laughing while talking. They seem so happy!

Yumi lowered her head as she walks inside the house.

"Yumi, why are you home early?" Alicia asked when she notices Yumi entered the house.

Yumi stopped in her track, it took a few seconds before she turned to Alicia and Dimitry.

She slowly took a step closer to them, she stared at Alicia before she turned her gaze to her father.

" Is it true?" Yumi suddenly asked.

Alicia and Dimitry knitted their brows as they looked at each other in confusion.

Yumi lifted her hand which is holding the envelope.

Alicia took the envelope, she opened it and pulled out its content and her eyes went wide open when she saw the photos!

Dimitry snatched the photos from Alicia when he saw her stunned expression!

Dimitry takes a look at the photos, "W-Where did you get this?" He asked anxiously.

"It doesn't matter where I got those photos," Yumi replied coldly while suppressing her tears. "Is it true?" She asked again.

Alicia and Dimitry looked at each other again.

"Yumi," Alicia turned her gaze to Yumi, " Let's not---" Alicia's next word was stuck her throat when Dimitry held her arm as if telling her to stop.

Alicia looked at Dimitry, " Let me talk to her," Dimitry said.

Dimitry faces Yumi, "The photos..." Dimitry spoke but he doesn't know how to say it to Yumi.

"Does she have another man?" Yumi asked.

Yumi can see the truth through her father's actions! She saw how her father struggled to say the word that she wanted to hear!

"Y-Yes," Dimitry replied in a faint voice.

Yumi slumped on the floor as soon as she heard her father's answer!

She felt like she has lost the strength that's left to her!

"N-No," She mumbled as she shook her head repeatedly and the tears that she's been trying to hold, automatically fell down!

Dimitry crouched on the ground and he embraces his daughter.

Yumi wailed, it hurts so much!

She couldn't explain the pain that she felt inside!

Dimitry stroke Yumi's back as Yumi continued to cry.

Alicia just silently cries. Yumi is suffering emotionally because of her mother's betrayal!

Alicia knew that Yumi's most trusted person is her mother. It is painful to learn that you were betrayed by the person you trust the most.

It took a while before Yumi calmed down, she still has questions in her mind.

"W-What does his lover have to do to her suicide?" Yumi asked in between her sobs.

"I'm sorry, I neglected you and your mother. I didn't give much of my time for both of you," Dimitry said.

"All your mother wants is my affection but I was not able to give it to her, and she found it in another man. They decided to run away together, but I was able to stop them before they could go."

(Flashback)

It was late at night, Dimitry ordered his driver to overtake and block the car that they are following.

The driver followed Dimitry's instruction.

The two people inside the other car were stunned when a car suddenly stopped in front of them!

The piercing sound of the car resounded as the driver stepped on the brake to avoid crashing on the other car that suddenly blocked their way!

Fortunately, they stopped just on time!

Dimitry gets off his car and he walks to the other car.

He opened the car door and pull the man out of the driver's seat.

"Dimitry, don't!" Vicky screamed when she saw her husband pulled Jinard but Dimitry seems not to hear anything!

He succeeded to pull Jinard out of the car and without saying a word, he started to beat him!

"Dimitry, no!" Vicky hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt and she got off the car to stop Dimitry but the two bodyguards blocked her!

"No!" Vicky screamed as she watches Dimitry continued to beat Jinard!

She can hear Jinard's pained groans and she can see the blood on his face but Dimitry doesn't want to stop!

"Dimitry, please stop!" Vicky begged as she started to cry!

"Ugh!" Jinard curled his body as he groans.

Dimitry is panting when he stops, he looked at his wife with his sharp gaze, "Are you going to leave me and our daughter for this mere store manager?!" Dimitry asked mockingly.

"Stop, please..." Vicky continued to beg as she clasped her hands.

"Aaargh!" Dimitry roared as he kicked the car!

"What else do you want, Vicky?!" He asked in resentment.

"I did all I can to provide everything to you and our daughter," Dimitry's shoulders shook like he is crying.

"I'm sorry," Vicky keeps on rubbing her palm.

"I'm sorry," She repeated in between her sobs.

"Have you ever thought about what will happen to Yumi if she finds out that her mother is a dirty woman?!"

Vicky crawled to Dimitry and she clutched on his leg, "I'm sorry," She continued while crying but Dimitry is still in anger.

"Beat that man until no one can recognize his face!" Dimitry instructed his bodyguards.

"No! No! No!" Vicky screamed as she embraced Dimitry's leg.

"Please, no, I will go back home with you, just please, stop hurting him," Vicky said.
