4 Let Loose.

Lexi had first taken a step back and her legs wanted to take another step back when Jesy took two steps forward, but Lexi forced her legs to remain rooted in order not to look scared, she reminded herself that she was the princess of the house and shouldn't be scared of some drunk fool.

Lexi tried to look unfazed and strong but the fear was very evident in her wide-open eyes she could already feel her legs shaking and the fingers that held the doorknob were clammy and dripping with sweat.

No matter how scared Lexi was, she never wanted to give in, she looked back at Jesy's hollow eyes that were as dark as the night sky. All Lexi wanted to do was look away from those cold eyes but she didn't want to look defeated hence she stared back at Jesy with her eyes that were almost giving in.

Lexi's whole body, mind and soul were already regretting ever crossing Jesy, she should have just let Jesy walk in but her heart didn't want to accept that she regretted stepping into Jesy, she kept whispering to herself that she never regretted it but her body kept telling her otherwise.

By now, Jesy was just a foot away from Lexi and Lexi now had a better view of her face, Jesy's face was looking very pale as a white sheet of paper, her lips lacked colour, her hair looked dishevelled as they hung on every part of her face and forehead due to the breeze, her eyes lacked any bit of warmth in them as they stared at Lexi.

"What did you say?"

Jesy's voice was extremely low almost a whisper as they flew with the breeze, it wasn't loud but the two scared ladies heard it clearly before it flew with the night breeze, her words and voice were as chilly and they pierced Lexi and made her shiver with goosebumps even worse than the cold breeze. Lexi saw the threat evidence in Jesy's voice but she was too stupid to back down or was it bravery?

"I said you should get a hang of yourself, seeing you like this, it's disgusting!"

Lexi said as she tried to look strong and told herself that Jesy could never do anything because she was drunk and would not be strong enough to inflict harm on her.

But that was all it took for Jesy to react, that simple sentence broke every tiny ounce of rationality that existed in her already blank mind. Who the hell did Lexi think she was to talk to her like that?

An unexpected movement happened, it was so swift that Lexi couldn't react in time. Jesy took the final step closer to Lexi and took hold of Lexi's slender and petite neck in a frenzy, her grip on the neck was so tight that Lexi was already on the verge of choking.

Lexi would never have thought that a day like this would come, she never even for once pictured Jesy to be like a crazed psychopath. Jesy was looking like a different person, so inhumane but like a demon that was confined for a very long time and was finally let loose.

Lydia who saw what was happening from behind was dazed for a moment that she could not move to react, her mouth wide open and her eyes bulging out, but when she saw Jesy roughly pull Lexi out of the door by her neck she finally made a move. Lydia frantically looked around to find something she could use to knock Jesy out, her eyes falling on the vase on the dining table away from the front door without wasting any more time, Lydia ran towards the dining table with her blonde hair bouncing behind her as she ran, she picked up the vase that was in the shape of a wine bottle green in colour.

Lydia was so surprised at the unexpected event, she never anticipated such a move from Jesy, it was shocking but she had no time to dwell on that thought. She ran back to the front door and raised the vase in an attempt to make it land heavily on Jesy's head to knock her out.

Jesy's grip was getting tighter as seconds ticked by, all she wanted to do was to just end the life of the person held in her tight grip, looking at the face of Lexi only brought more misery to her and her instincts just told her to end the misery and that was what she was doing without bothering what the outcome may be.

Jesy held Lexi's neck and banged her body heavily on the wall and impacted more pressure on the neck. Lexi winced when she felt the impact of her body on the wall, all she wanted was to get out of the hands of this demon standing before her and trying to kill her, she could feel the killing intent coming from Jesy and it brought shivers down her spine, Lexi had no option but to swallow her pride and whispered the word she thought she would never say to Jesy in her entire existence, the word of plea left her mouth in a muffled up manner but it wasn't even having any effect on Jesy because she gripped harder on Lexi.

Jesy suddenly felt a cold breeze on her back and felt a presence and when she turned her head to look, she saw Lydia standing with a vase in her hands raised high up, Jesy recognized that vase, it was given to her as a souvenir in high school for being the best students before her graduation. She remembered being very happy that day, she couldn't wait to reach home to show her little accomplishment to her parents but when she got home, instead of a proud parent, she was met with the total opposite. There was Lexi on the cold tiled floor with her face wet as evidence that she was crying…..

Jesy felt the vase landing on her at lightning speed but she was faster, she held on to the vase with her free hands and used so much force to push it away and in the process, Lydia was pushed along with it.

The sound of the vase crashing on the floor reverberated in the quiet night, it was so loud and piercing to the ear, its pieces scattered everywhere on the floor and some fell and scrapped Jesy's delicate and fair face with blood sipping out.

Lydia was sent flying due to the heavy and strong force Jesy used to push her but instead of landing on the ground, she landed on warm but firm hands.
