Chapter 29

Alexandra didn't know this was what battle trainings looked like, she had the urge to get a sword and battle with them as well. She wasn't only good in sword dancing, she was good in fighting with swords aswell.

Silverstein looked up at her as she was still on the horse. He remembered she was good with swords. Having a funny thought, he turned to ask her, "Would you do me the honour of sparing with me?"

Alexandra whipped her head to look down at Silverstein, "S... Spar with you, really?!" She was elated just by thinking about it. She alighted the horse with his help.

"Mm, I mean it. Spar with me." He said and she nodded.

"I will!" She smiled widely, her dimples showing.

The two made their presence known to the soldiers and they all bowed and greeted the royals in sync.

"Your Royal Highnesses." Only until after Silverstein hummed did they go back to their position.

"Are they the men you went to war with?" Alexandra asked him as they made their way to the changing room, to get dressed for sparring.

"Mm." He nodded.

Alexandra noticed he wasn't all that close with them. In most books she had read, soldiers were equally close to the princes or kings they went along with to war. But then she noticed Silverstein wasn't really close to anyone except his mother and... maybe her?

Silverstein could be considered a loner. He didn't know how to make a conversation and he was only trying with Alexandra. She was making it easy for him.

The war he went alongside the soldiers, he rarely spoke. Only when he needed to update them on new war strategies or eat, drink and smoke. He rarely had formal conversations with them and he didn't mind. Silverstein was someone who loved his space and peace. if possible, he would've chosen against becoming a prince. But he didn't wish to choose that anymore since Alexandra had entered his life. The girl was everything a man could ever need and want. Sometimes she was shy, sometimes bold and feisty. She honed her cooking skills and she knew how to make use of swords. She wasn't cowardly and she knew how to talk back at people. He just wanted to make sure she had the best as his wife, and it was surely going to happen. The girl had been on his mind, two-four-seven, after the night he had spoken with her and he did little to nothing to stop it.

Thinking about her, he looked down at her, at how her eyes held intrigue watching the training field. Remembering he had something to say; "We'll move to a different house after the wedding." He spoke to her and she moved her head up to face him.

"Different house? In Caestria?" She saw him shake his head in a negative response.

"It's another kingdom. The kingdom I recently conquered." He said and they got to stand before the brown wooden door of the changing room. He opened it and entered inside with her. "There's no female training clothes. My dad doesn't like female warriors." He said, going to one of the wardrobes, finding what could fit her.

"Oh... Is there a reason why he doesn't like female warriors?" He was going to be her father-in-law, not that he wasn't already, so she wanted to know more about her family. Alexandra leaned against a wall, awaiting him.

"He's a discriminator. It's nothing to think about." He brought out a small sized brown training suit and small sized pants. "This should be good." He said to her. Bringing out another for himself and dropped on the table.

Alexandra watched as he took off his robe, then went on to unbutton his inner suit, her face turning red. She contemplated turning around and giving him privacy, but hell, she couldn't even move her feet! His back was facing her as he took off his suit. She saw his muscled back, his muscles rippling with his every movement and she noticed the tattoo on his back.

It was a drawing of a person's face, the person looked exactly like him with long curvy horns on his head. The person had long hair, longer than the hair he carried at the moment. Moving her feet without her knowledge, she went on and caressed his back, the tattoo.

"Did this hurt when they drew it?" She knew people who used charcoal to draw tattoo, and she heard it hurt. His, being this beautiful and big, must've hurt him. "It must've hurt." She whispered.

Silverstein's ears had turned red. Did she know what she was doing? Touching his back like that?! Did she even know that movement of hers was fatal to a man? His heart was drumming in his ears and he turned to face her, making her move her hand away from his back, so he wouldn't push her against the wall and do things to her.

"It hurt when they did, but not so much." You should get dressed too.

Alexandra flushed red, looking at his front. His abs were like hard chocolates, his chest just screamed power and his veiny arms... What could they do to her...? Widening her eyes at her own thoughts, she scrambled away from him, getting the training clothes he brought out for her, she entered inside another room.

Silverstein released a heavy breath and rested his back on the wardrobe's door, as though his knees would give away soon. "This little..." He muttered before completely removing and wearing the training clothes.

...

In Selina's chamber. She was seated on the soft purple couch present in her room, knitting with wools in her hand, she was almost done with what she had started when she heard a knock on her door.

"Your Majesty, the King has requested your presence." The maid said outside the door before she left.

Selina twitched her lips, wondering what it was about now. Dropping the unfinished work on the table, she exited her room. The king's palm print on her cheek had reduced.
