Four eyed beast

Eerie sounds were heard in the woods as the travelers journeyed across the forest. This was a deserted land, rumored to be taken over by a demon. Dusk was almost coming, and they rode their horse faster, trying to make it across before night came.

Sitting on an oak tree was a four-eyed woman. The two other eyes were on her forehead. Her nose was twice the normal human nose, with a wide mouth that housed over 52 pointed teeth. Her hair was red and long and it flowed down to the root of the tree. She swung her legs in the air as she watched the travelers journey across.

Laughing, she stood on the tree and opened her mouth, and howled.

KAAAAA KAAA KAAAA!

At the sound of the woman's scream, the men fell off their horses, their hands grabbing their ears. They screamed in pain as blood flowed out of their ears and eyes as the woman continued to scream. They tried to crawl away, but their insides continued to rip apart the louder her voice became until their eyes burst open, and they gave up dead.

When they no longer moved, she stopped and stepped down from the tree.

Her throat made a croaking sound as she walked to one corpse and squatted over it. Using her claws, she dug into his chest and pulled his heart. Throwing her head backward, she gobbled it.

Unlike Kai and his friends, Sky and Finn were good to him. In a matter of minutes, they were already getting used to knowing themselves. Finn was a 3rd rank water descendant like Sky,

''I have seen no white-haired humans with no powers. '' Finn said and Sky nodded;

''Yeah, it's odd, also your features are quite eccentric. It's not about your face, there's just something…''

''Unusual.'' Finn completed and Shane got scared. What if they were right? What if there was something evil about the owner of the body he was in?

The last thing Shane wanted to do was hurt anyone. Did the owner of the body die? What if someone recognized him?

''Yeah, everyone here said that. But I can't remember a thing, so I don't know. '' Shane smiled uneasily.

''Yeah, the possibility that a powerless human can pose any threat is next to zero, so don't worry. '' Sky joked.

They went to the dining hall together that evening, and Shane was glad he had them with him because of the curious gazes of the descendants which were almost piercing through his skin.

As they sat down to eat, Shane heard a loud bang on the table and he looked up. Kai stood above them with a smirk on his chin; ''I guess you did not leave, Shane.''

Shane cursed under his breath; not again.

They weren't allowed to fight in the dining hall, so Sky was sure Kai would not do a thing.

''See you later, friend. '' He said and patted Shane's shoulder before walking away.

''How did that bully notice you already?'' Sky asked after Kai and his friends left;

''I stayed in his room the night I arrived. '' Shane explained. ''

''Shit, I guess he's found a new plaything. Try to avoid him the best you can. I'll try to protect you, but Kai is stronger than me. He'll beat both of us. '' Sky said and Shane laughed;

''Don't worry, it's not a big deal, as long as I don't die. ''

''Shane!'' Shane looked up to see Tatiana walking to them with her tray of food.

''You did not leave? Did you not get treated?'' She asked, coming to sit down with them.

''No, thankfully, the council let me stay for the time being. I'll be learning martial arts. ''

''That's good to hear. Where are you staying, with Sky?'' she asked, looking at Sky.

''Yeah, he's with me, but I can kick him out if you decide to come to stay with us. You know I'll always put you first, love.''

''Sky!'' Tatiana eyed him. He always found a way to flirt, even in the most serious matters; ''That reminds me, Shane, almost every girl is talking about you at the Academy. How did you get so famous in such a short amount of time?''

Tatiana asked, and Shane looked at her in surprise. He had barely spoken to up to 5 girls since he got there, so how was he already popular?

''You are joking; '' Shane laughed; ''Unfortunately, I'm not. Just look around. You'll notice the girls staring at you. ''

Shane looked around, and he noticed some people glancing at him and making side comments. The last thing he wanted was to garner any attention, but that was exactly what he had done.

''I don't blame them though, have you seen your face?'' Tatiana teased, and Shane smiled;

''I've seen a lot of guys with good looks here. I think they are curious because I'm a white-haired human with no powers. They'll stop paying attention soon enough.''

''Hmm, maybe.'' Tatiana was interrupted by a female voice, and she looked up to see Luna with a smile on her chin;

''Shane, I've been looking all over for you. Come with me, I have something for you. '' Sky and Tatiana looked at themselves and then at Shane inquisitively; Shane looked at his friends, and then at Luna;

''I'll meet with you after dinner, '' he said and Luna frowned, folding her hands in front of her, ''You can bring your food, it cannot wait. ''

Tatiana pursed her lips as she stared at Shane, as though asking how the f*ck did she know him already!

Luna was quick to get with the finest males in the Academy, and she liked to show that she was with the finest of them. And what better way to show she knew Shane to all the girls than to eat with him amidst their peering eyes?

Shane hesitated, but stood up and carried his tray; although he preferred to sit with his friends, Luna was stronger than them, and they wouldn't be able to protect him if he got on her bad side. Besides, she helped him get into the Academy, so to an extent, he owed her.

''Will see you guys later,'' Shane said and followed Shane.

Luna smiled as she walked with him to her table, where she sat with her friends.

Shane sat down beside her and greeted the people at the table;

''Shane, meet my friends, ''This is Yuri and Dai.'' Luna introduced,

Yuri dressed like a guy. If not that she had a feminine face, he would have mistaken her for a man. She had the same uniform as Luna, so he figured they must be in the same rank. She had packed her hair up in a tight knot and only let a few strands fall across her face. Her lips were thin, barely visible when she smiled, but her eyes were big, which accentuated her facial features. She was pretty.

Dai had a stoic expression, and there were three scars across his eyes. Like he had been clawed by an animal. He barely glanced at Shane before going back to his food.

Yuri smiled and felt his hair; ''Hmm, you sure are a strange one. '' She said. Luna quickly pulled Yuri's hand away from his hair.

''I did not bring him here for you to touch him, Yuri. '' She said, and Yuri rolled her eyes; Luna liked to mark insane territories.

Shane sat quietly as he watched them talk like they owned him. So much for being a powerless human.

''So Shane, back to why I called you. I'll like to be your tutor.''
