17 Purgatory
Inside the dungeon
Edric and the others were slowly making their way deeper into the cave.
After walking for a while, they saw a black orc with a hammer in his hand.
Seeing the orc, Jenson said,
"Black orcs also have the same weakness as other orcs, but unlike other orcs, black orcs are aware of their weakness and try to cover it."
"So be careful."
Everyone nodded.
"Ulric and Edric will engage in close combat with the orc, while I will cover them."
"Lois and John use their spell from a distance, while Callie and Nina will cover them."
"Understood,"
"Yes,"

"Everyone ready?"
"Yeah!"
"Then let's hunt the black orcs,"
Edric and Ulric ran towards the black orc. When the orc saw them approaching, it slammed its hammer down and swung it vertically. They dodged it with ease.
"So slow," Ulric commented.
While the orc was distracted by them, Lois and John attacked its head.
"Ice Needles,"
"fireballs,"
"AGHHH,"
The orc was hit by the spells and screamed in pain.
"Well, we were scared for no reason. After all, it's still an orc."
'Something seems off.'
'The attack speed of a normal orc isn't this slow, so why is this black orc so slow? I can see the attack as clear as the sky.'
What happened next confirms Edric's worries.
A gust of wind passed by Edric and hit Ulric's body. After seeing the slow attack, Ulric let his guard down, and the orc took advantage of it. The orc struck Ulric with his hammer, causing Ulric to knock against the cave wall.
THUD
"Cough!"
"?!"
"WHAT?"
Upon seeing Ulric's body pinned to the wall, everyone was dumbfounded.
"What happened?" Nina asked.
The attack was so fast that no one was able to see it except Jenson and Edric.
Edric looked at the orc's face and saw a smile on it.
'This bastard deliberately attacked slowly, and took the attacks.'
"Kheheh," The orc laughed.
"& $*@#%" (The bug was crushed.)
Ulric was pinned to the wall. His body was dripping with blood. Thanks to his armor, he survived the attack, but that can't be said for his armor. The armor crumbled into dust.
Everyone's morale dropped upon seeing the orcs' attack and Ulric's condition.
Edric looked at his party members. The fear that was gone after hearing Jenson's words resurfaced.
'Shit, at this rate we will be wiped out in no time.'
"Captain, cover me and Callie heal Ulric."
Edric took the lead.
"Do you have a plan?"
"Just believe in me."
Looking at Edric's face, Jenson only nodded.
"Fire Spears,"

Gen flames that took the form of spears as the owner desired. It can penetrate and melt through anything that is in a physical state.

Spears made of black fire began to appear behind Edric. Feeling threatened by deadly mana, the orc attacked Edric.
"Not so fast,"
Jenson placed his shield on the ground.
"Impact Barrier."

When the hammer struck the shield, the hammer blew away, knocking the orc off balance, but the orc was able to get back on his feet instantly.
However, it gave Edric enough time.
"Feel the pain,"
Fire spears pierce through the orc's body, causing him to scream in agony.
"If he screams like that, other orcs may come here," Jenson said.
"That's what I want."
"Why do you–"
Before Jenson could ask anything, Edric cut him off and asked,
"Do you have a stronger defense skill?"
'This is for our survival.' Jenson thought.
Jenson swallowed his pride as an A-rank tank and replied.
"I have,"
'I might be able to use that.'
The black flames slowly covered the orc's entire body, causing more and more pain with every passing second.
Edric could have ended the orc's life in a few seconds by attacking his vital spots, but he deliberately didn't do so, as he wanted to attract other black orcs.
A few seconds later,
A group of six black orcs came after hearing the scream. By the time they arrived, the orc was dead, and his body was reduced to ashes.
Seeing the ashes of their brethren, they roar and run towards Jenson's party.
"Captain, now,"
"Guardian Wall,"
Suddenly, a blue transparent wall appeared, blocking the orcs. They began attacking the wall.
"$%@#%#^%" (I will kill you insects.)
"@$#$^&$$#&" (We will avenge our friend.)
"I wouldn't be able to hold them for much longer."
Edric nodded in understanding.
Crack!
Crack!
After a few seconds, cracks began to appear in the wall; seeing that, Jenson shouted,
"Why are you just standing there?"
'Not enough, I want more orcs.'
As time passed, the cracks grew larger and larger. The tension also grew as the cracks grew.
*CRACK*
The wall shattered like glass.
'We're done for' Jenson thought.
'There they are,'
Seeing more orcs coming, Edric used his skill.
"Purgatory"
An earthquake occurred, and cracks appeared beneath the orcs. From these cracks, purple and black flames rose and engulfed the orcs.
As the flames devoured the orcs, their screams were heard throughout the cave.
Seeing the orcs turn to ashes.
*Thud*
Both Edric and Jenson fall on their buttocks.
