Chapter 7 - Everything must come to an end.

Jaune shot his eyes open, as soon as the dream in his head came to an end. He dreamed about Pyrrha's death, he saw Nora's eyes before she fell and only now realised what he has done to his only friend. Only now he realised what trauma he must have put her through...

What have I done?

"Jaune?" suddenly Jaune's attention shifted to Adam who came running in the tent as fast as he could after hearing Jaune groan as he woke up. The Hell's Knight sat up, looking over at his love life and smiled at him. Adam out of sudden ran up to Jaune and hugged the boy tightly, whilst letting some of his tears get soaked through the boy's shirt. "I-I'm so glad you're ok! I thought that I lost you, or worse..!" Adam whimpered, pulling away and holding Jaune's cheek as the blond boy leaned into the hand. Jaune's hands still had a hold onto Adam's shoulders, feeling his companion's warmth.

"Hey... I'm ok, don't worry. My back burns a little bit, but apart from that everything's alright," Jaune said, enjoying the warmth and the closeness of the Taurus Faunus. He wanted this moment to last forever, and never, ever end. "But... why were you so scared?" Jaune asked, not having a clue about what his crush meant.

"You mean a lot to me-" And that was the moment Adam knew he screwed up. Both of the boys' eyes widen and Adam pulled away quickly with his face as red s a tomato and trying to come up with an excuse to cover up what he just said. "I-I mean...! You aren't important to me- YOU ARE REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME- B-but that doesn't mean that I don't care- I Mean I care about you! It may just happen that I like you-" the Taurus happened to be so embarrased that the words coming out of his mouth, were going on their own. Jaune just looked wide eyed at his partner, but soon just bursted out in laughter. Adam stopped in his tracks and looked at the blond boy.

Jaune stopped the laughter, sighed and looked at Adam with his sapphire eyes, with the biggest joy anyone could ever imagine. The Hell's Knight soon moved his hand towards Adam's face and gently removed the red haired's mask revealing Adam's Agate eyes. One of them being injured and marked in the letters SDC. Jaune's hand gently touched Adams cheek and rubbed it. Adam was still in a bit of shock so he didn't say anything.

"You know, you have beautiful eyes." Jaune whispered slowly coming closer to Adam's face and rubbing nose against his.

"Just like you" Adam whispered back, and soon their lips collided.

Jaune's hand slowly moved around Adam's waist and Adam's went to Jaune's cheeks. They boys stayed in this position for about good few minutes, before hearing the fangirl screams of Noki coming from the entrance of the tent. Both of the boys jumped away from eachother as if burned and blushed deep red, whilst Noki smiled like the pervert she was.

"I KNEW THAT YOU TWO WERE GAY!" Noki suddenly squeeled and jumped up and down in victory whilst humming some strange song. Adam and Jaune just laughed with her, even though they were flustered as heck. Then she came running up to the cute Hell couple and hugged them, full force. The two boys looked at eachother happily and hugged their wolf friend back, and stayed in this embrance for quite some time.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Someone was spotted by the camp nearby. Apparently, they want to see you Jaune, and will not show their face until you come and see them. Others think that it's a girl, but not too sure." Noki added as she slowly stood up and went out of the tent leaving the other two males behind.

Jaune stood up after that and put on back his uniform, as Adam followed him.

"So... does this mean that we're a thing?" asked Adam shyly, worrying that he may have said something wrong or got something wrong. Jaune chuckled and looked back at his partner now.

"If you want us to be~" he teased and Adam felt his cheeks turn redder if possible. Before heading out, they shared one last kiss and then Jaune left to see who the mysterious person was.

As he walked towards the woods, he looked up at the scattered moon which seemed to shine brighter than ever. Or maybe it was just his fantasy... He stopped in his tracks as soon as he heard some rustling of the trees and bushes.

"Whoever you are, come out," Jaune demanded as he activated his Enhacement, and he drew out his katana. He looked around the area, only to have his whole focus being attracted to a THUD before him. He noticed a figure infront of him, standing up, red hood, black and red shoes, and a brown backpack. The person took her hood off her head, and Jaune noticed the silver orbs staring right at his. He sighed, "Ruby, what are you doing here?" he asked, putting his katana away, slowly but peacefully.

Ruby didn't say anything for the first few seconds, so Jaune took this as his answer and shook his head, "If you came here to tell me that what I did was wrong, and that I can still go back then leave-"

"No Jaune. You were right. You were right about leaving, this isn't a place for people like you, and no one should ever treat you like this. I am not here to tell you what to do, just..." Ruby stopped for a moment and took a deep breath as Jaune came closer to the young Rose. "I just wanted to apologise and... ask you a question." Ruby looked down, hoping that Jaune would listen to her and somehow things would get better. Jaune took his hood and mask off, uncovering his sapphire eyes, which were slowly tearing up.

"After all I did..." Jaune paused, making the young brunette take a step closer. "After I shot you, after traumatizing you, after all I did to you, you are still here. Back with me," Jaune said, tears dwealing up in his eyes, as Ruby smiled.

"You know, not everyone is bad just because they on the opposite side..." said Ruby. "Besides, I promised you that I will never leave your side, didn't I?" Ruby asked the blond Hell's Knight as he nodded happily. Jaune only now realised what the question was...

"So, can I join you?"
