Chapter 9: Code ORDOVICIAN~

(1'st POV)

After I stepped out of the portal, I placed the sleeping Zero Two on the bed and covered her with the sheet

As I was going to take a nap myself, I heard the doorbell ring and when I checked who it was, I found Arisu-chan and her butler

"Arisu-chan, why are you here?" I asked her

"Hm, can't I come?" She asked me to which I shook my head as I said

"Come inside, let's talk there," I said to her

"Hm, okay~," Arisu-chan said to me

"So, what do you want from me?" I asked her since I was genuinely confused

"Hmph! You were the first person who was able to defeat me (Chess), did you really think I would let you go that easily?" Arisu-chan said in a matter of fact tone

"Oh, so it's like that! Do you want to play a match now?" I asked her to which she nodded her head

After which her butler prepared the chessboard for us and we started playing, I naturally picked the black pieces just like the last time~

(After 30 minutes)

"How did you defeat me again!" Arisu-chan yelled at me

"Well, it just happened I guess?" I said to her which I think pissed her more~

"Ughh! I will come again tomorrow and defeat you!" Arisu-chan said to me as she stormed out of the door

"Sure~, by the way, come earlier tomorrow so that you will be able to play with my other friends too~ Arisu-chan" I yelled at her who had already left the apartment

Then I looked at her butler who nodded at me and followed after his mistress

"Heheh~, I look forward to tommorrow~," I said to myself as I noticed an envelope placed on my desk with the symbol of APE on it~

"Ah! They already sent the envelope! So fast!" I exclaimed as I was surprised that they already sent the envelope as I thought that it would take some day's at least for them to arrange the data and pick some suitable missions for me, though it looks like they already did it~

As I looked at the missions available for me...I was confused as to which one I should choose!

"Waaah! There are so many of them! Which one should I choose?" I exclaimed

"Sigh! let me just choose the most troublesome one available" I said to no one in particular as I chose the SSS+ mission which will be commencing the day after tomorrow

[Missions are ranked according to the approximate number of casualties which will be suffered if the mission is commenced without any special preparations (Special FRANXX, Special Hyper-Armour, S-class Xenesis, etc). They are ranked as such: D//C//B//A//S//SS/SSS/SSS+//CALAMITY//CODE ZERO, CODE ZERO is at the level where the whole planet's military would need to be mobilized to even have a chance to repel the calamity]

**Gutenberg-class: large, intimidating, and demoralizing to look at. Their siege weapons are capable of destroying plantations. Requires a joint operation to defeat.

**Super Lehmann-class: gigantic Klaxosaurs, having at least the size of a plantation. They are to plantations what scissors are to paper and can withstand an entire plantation exploding in their face. Requires an army and a massive amount of effort to defeat.]

"Yup, this one looks good~, I will join this one then," I said as I started signing the Agreement under the mission record after which it faded into particles and probably informed APE that I will be participating in this one~, It also seems that call me Code Origin, quite ironic I say as I really am the Origin~

"yawn~, let's sleep now," I said to myself as I climbed on the bed and cuddled with Zero-chan~ who was drooling on the bed~

(3'rd POV)

"Chairman-sama! Code origin has chosen the SSS+ rank mission!" A Xenesis said to PAPA as he came running inside his office as PAPA had given the utmost priority to this news and this was the reason the Xenesis was able to neglect every security measure in PAPA's office and reach PAPA

"Haha, it seems we will have fewer casualties this SSS+ rank mission," Said PAPA while laughing a little shocking the Xenesis as nobody had seen PAPA laugh before

"Anyway, has he also chosen to pilot the XIRCONIS-000, or did he want to go to the Frontlines as a Xenesis?" Papa asked the Xenesis who came out of his stupor and nodded his head

"Yes, he has chosen to ride the XIRCONIS-000 and will go to the Frontlines as a Pentacross," The Xenesis said as PAPA nodded his head

"You can go now," PAPA said to the Xenesis who bowed and took his leave

"I am looking forward to the day you will step on the battlefield Code Origin"

After which he pressed a key on his desk and said

"Prepare Code ORDOVICIAN, we have found her partner," PAPA said after which a short "Affirmed" was heard...

By the way, ORDOVICIAN was the term used for the first Mass-Extinction~

And the ones who will say why is he using a FRANXX, can't he just go to the battlefield as a Xenesis? Well, firstly which child doesn't like giant robots? and secondly, he simply didn't know that he could go to the battlefield as a Xenesis, but don't worry he will use his power's in the upcoming battle~
