Rose Everdale

Everdale City, inside the Everdale Family's mansion, a certain girl could be seen sitting on a chair.

She stared outside her window seemingly dazed by the scenery, her eyes were ocean blue sparkling like the sea. Her nose was small and her lips were pale as well as juicy.

Her straight blonde hair shining like gold flowed down to her waist behind the chair as she leaned her face near the table as if she was lost in thought. At least that was what her eyes were saying.

The girl had an unknown expression on her face, superficial as if this was the face she made for everyone to see.

Expressionless so no one could know her thoughts, she kept them to herself.

"Young lady, your fiance has arrived." The words of a servant outside her door broke her concentration and her eyes beamed even if only for a moment.

It soon returned to its emptiness, a lack of emotion to be exact and she stood from her chair.

She walked towards the door step by step, and grabbed her floppy hat, a flower ornament could be seen in front.

"Please follow me, Young Lady." The servant bowed and said afterwards. Her voice was filled with respect and she started walking down the hallway, slowly keeping a steady pace.

The girl who seemed to be the young lady of the house followed. Her pace was steady having a certain distance kept at all times.

Her posture was straight and dignified just like her presence, noble and distinguished yet so fragile.

As she passed the hallway, servants bowed their heads with respect and soon they arrived in a room.

A room where their family meets their guest. Arriving here, she saw two of her parents sitting at the end of the long table.

However, no food could be seen as this was not a dining room but a meeting room.

"Sit." Her father commanded and she gave a nod before sitting on a chair next to them.

"Lord Everdale, Young Lady Rose's fiance has arrived at the door." A servant reported and a certain girl's eyes flickered for a moment and returned to normal an instant later.

"Let him enter." He ordered and the door opened, a man soon entered the room, with him two other people stepped inside.

One was on his back and the other behind him, following him like a guard.

At this moment, whatever was her expression before, or even the traces of the lack of emotion in her eyes. It all disappeared in an instant as she saw the man.

Her previously dim and emotionless eyes at this moment were brighter than any star up above the sky.

"Siphyr.....?" She called his name without thought as if it was an unconscious reaction.

The man smiled at her, whom she called by the name Siphyr and suddenly said, "Nice to meet you too, Rose Everdale." He mentioned her name and the girl's eyes fluttered continuously.

But soon she regained her calm as she didn't want her parents to notice her behavior.

She held out the hat in her hand and a servant who guided her previously took it from her without any order. The servants then left the room and only the family and Siphyr's group remained.

"Welcome to our humble manor, Siphyr Asmodeus. I hope it is to your liking and find it comfortable." Lord Everdale smiled at him and gestured for them to sit.

The two of them sat at the other end of the table where two empty chairs could be seen. Diane however, sat on Siphyr's lap and snooze on the table.

Lord Everdale smiled wryly at her behavior as well as did his wife. Then, he clapped his hands and servants came in with cups of tea and sweets in hand.

They placed it on the table, for Siphyr and his companions. "I hope you don't mind drinking tea with sweets." Lord Everdale spoke when the servants finished serving the tea.

"I don't mind." Siphyr replied and continued, "Anyway, Lord of Everdale City, you should have already known as to why I came here, so let us get to the point." He stated and sip on the cup of tea.

Not minding his straight to the point behavior, Lord Everdale responded calmly with a kind smile, "Of course, since I was the one who requested for you here, I naturally would know the reason. Now then, as you want to get straight to the point, I'll ask you this." His expression turned serious.

"Will you agree to marrying my daughter?"

Siphyr didn't respond and instead waited after sipping his tea before responding to his question, "I still haven't made a decision yet as this was too sudden. My father seemed to have forgotten to inform me of this and I only have gotten to know that I had a fiance three days ago." He replied without pause and continued.

"Since that is the case, please let me stay here for a while and I would also like it if me and my fiancee get to know each other, is that fine?"

"Of course, I like that idea. Since you are to stay here, Rose." He called for his daughter.

"Understood. Please follow me, I will guide you to your room, mister Siphyr." Her tone was formal without any rudeness as she spoke before leading the way.

Siphyr and Liliane followed from behind. Of course, Diane had already climbed on his back.

The hallway was long and there were many rooms along the way. Such expensive and luxurious decorations could also be seen in every corner or walls.

'So this is the mansion of the Everdale family, one of the most richest family in the continent. Humble my ass.' He thought to himself as he retorted inwardly.

A while later, they arrived in front of a room meant for important guests and Rose opened the door using a key.

She then returned the key in her ring and entered along with Siphyr. The moment they stepped inside, he locked the room shut and opened his mouth.

"Even though you already know, please let me introduce myself again. I am Siphyr Asmodeus— Huh?!!"

He exclaimed in surprise. When he was about to finish his sentence, Rose his fiancee jumped at him and embraced him.

"I... For so long I wished... It was lonely, but... finally... I've met you, my fated one."
