8 Manor.

If you guys think that Merlin was rich sadly you'd be wrong. The man lived in the 500s a time where having a decent wooden hut was acceptable. He didn't really have any gold he lived more like a wizard of old with items like plants and magic crystals. The ones who were really rich were the founders mostly helga who had a vast fortune as she lived in poverty during her childhood and worked hard to make sure that never happened.

Rowena was also rich since she came up with many different recipes for potions and spells and patented them all she spent quite a bit of money on books for herself and the hogwarts Library but she was still outrageously wealthy. Gryffindor shad a wealth he obtained from slain enemies by right of conquest. When he settled down to run the school he started collecting suits of armor and weapons as a hobby. Slytherin hid most of his stuff probably in a hidden room in the chamber of secrets. Never trusted anyone that man.

I wasn't able to find any sweet magical trunks or cool items besides the necklace with the philosophers stone. Apparently it was ment for merlins wife but he apparently never had a chance to give it to her. The only other cool item was a staff Merlin used in his childhood and that was it.

The grimoire was an even greater disappointment as it contained spells like heating up tea and other really lame everyday life spells Merlin used on his travels. Clothes washing spells, cooking spells, spells that work like glasses so he can read his books easier.

It was like I had gone to a poor homeless mans storage shelter. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he lived in that fucking vault for a while. He didn't even have a house he was a Druid and lived in the wilds for a greater portion of his life.

The founders didn't have any homes besides Hogwarts. As they sold their original homes to build the castle. It was one of those spur of the moment things. So that left me with a manor left by one of the peverell brothers. It was the one who held the resurrection stone and killed himself to be with his lost love.

It was run down at best. Apparently depression and drinking along with no house elves leads to a very trashed home.

So I had it tore down by the goblins. I had them make me a fantastic manor. I had the money to do it. I also put it under some wards which were the absolute best the goblins could provide. Wards are rune and spells cast onto a special stone block and it can do everything from warning bells to melting people who trespass. The goblins had some good ones for killing off unwelcome visitors. I paid a high price to have the place put under Fidelius so that no one would be able to bother me unless I wanted them too.

A Fidelius hides the location of a place or building under a powerful magical spell and the only way to find said location is for me to tell it to them or write it down. With the use of magic goblins could easily whip up a mansion in a few days. I had bought some blueprints of a modern house with solar and wind power generators which greatly intrigued the goblins as this was new technology. I wanted a house that was fully self sustaining and I was gunna get one. They set up the electric and everything perfect as goblins were quite picky about making mistakes since it could lead to their death in the nation. You accidentally misappropriated someone's money and you get fed to dragons. So you better get everything right.

I had gotten quite a sum of money from the auctioned items. I would use this to buy furniture and other items from my timeline. As I don't like the 50s or 60s furniture or anything like that. The wizards were even further back as they still used things like torches and older furniture from like the 1700s.

We bought some nice matching pieces for the living room and a fancy dining table and chairs that were both stylish and comfortable. I had a fully stocked kitchen with a walk in freezer completed with name brand stoves and fridge. I had a nice kuerig and a pizazz for when i wanted cappuccino, coffee or pizza. I had some nice fancy things that I wouldn't have in my old life. I'll probably never use them but they look great.

The bedroom had a large memory foam tempurpedic bed which I spent a lot on and a tv with a ps4 I'd use to watch movies on.

The living room was just as lavish with nice comfortable chairs and couches and a big screen tv. I had missed actual tv.

The place was coming together nicely. It wasn't too over the top since I didn't plan on inviting many people over. But it was nicer than pureblooded families homes. Those places were dark and dingy.

I loved my new place.

After everything was in good shape I figured I'd invite Ragnok, Arcturus, and Bella over to visit.

I had been given a portkey to gringotts for whenever I needed to visit I also had one built into my family ring to portkey me here. I really needed to get myself a house elf so I'll talk to Ragnok about that.

I grabbed a piece of paper off the desk in my office and with a woosh I was flown off towards the gringotts in London I'm not going to lie portkey travel is terrifying and it sucks. It just basically throws you into the air and then you drop where you were supposed to be I have no idea how it works at all. Well it ended up with my sprawled across the floor in a private room in gringotts.
