Chapter 39 The Secret-3

'Actually, Adenos, I guess it's not that simple.

'What do you mean, are there other secrets?'

'Dirk had abandoned Anna and Aida in order to be with Dana. His pack also rejected him after learning that he had abandoned his family to live with a witch instead of a she-wolf. He, too, abandoned his pack and looked for a spot to start a new life with Dana. Because of his purebred heritage, Dirk had no trouble gaining supporters, and the Blue Moon Pack was created by people who considered him their leader. For several years, they were unable to conceive children. It took some time for the Moon Goddess to forgive him, but they ultimately had offspring.

'Don't tell me that boy is the dungeon youngster, but it's just too much!' he protested.

'I'm afraid so! Furthermore, the moon form above Adrian's eyebrow verifies his membership in the Crystal Moon Pack, and Aida is no exception.'

'Well, didn't Alpha James announce that all the heirs of the Blue Moon Pack died on the day of the duel? That's why all the members of the Blue Moon Pack had sworn allegiance to him and joined the Darkness Moon Pack.'

'Looks like that bastard James lied to everyone, he had not killed Adrian. Adrian was 12 years old at the time. Because he didn't have a wolf, the Pack members probably assumed he was dead and joined James's Pack in the commotion. I don't know why he didn't kill Adrian. I guess you'll have to learn that from Adrian, too.'

'Hold on a second, hold on a second! Adrian and Aida share the same father and are step-siblings in this situation. However, Adrian and I share the same mother, making us stepbrothers. It is really complicated. But it also explains why I liked Adrian, why Aida is so sad to keep him in the cell, and also why Ernest does not like me. 'I have a lot of new information to process, as well as a lot of new questions in my mind.'

'I believe you should direct your inquiries to Aida. At the very least, you won't spend any time. I'm afraid I won't be able to respond to your questions.'

'Why did you make that statement?' asked Adenos.

'Do you not notice, Adenos? Ernest is on the hunt to kill Adrian, and because you and Adrian are hybrids, you must both be able to cast spells. Aida probably doesn't know you're a half-warlock if Ernest hasn't told her yet. There is one last thing you should know. Only until you find and join with your fated mate will your spell be broken. 'Cornelia, I really appreciate you for this information. But why did you wait until today to share all this information?'

Cornelia grined. 'Everything happens at its own pace, Adrian. Just know that if Emily hadn't permitted it, I wouldn't have given you any of this information. Remember that our Pack will grow and evolve if you use this information wisely. Ernst's prediction will come true otherwise.'

'Do you think that way?' he asked.

'I don't think so, I'm sure. Please do what you have to do and find a way out of this trouble. That's what Luna wishes for.' she muttered as she left the office.

Adenos buried his head in his hands and pondered his options for a long time.
