1 Truck-kun strikes again. And… again?

Julius Williams considered this nothing but an ordinary day as every other. Waking up at 6 to have a bit of time for reading before going to school, then at 7:30 leaving the orphanage for school. He had been abandoned and left in front of the door to the orphanage shortly after his birth, or at least that was what he was told, he obviously had no memories of it himself.

Since then 16 years had passed and he had no friends or well, any real interpersonal connections at all.

He had been a quiet kid even when he was little and when he discovered a passion for Harry Potter and after that Harry Potter fan-fictions he became even more of a loner, spending almost all of his free time reading and rereading any Harry Potter related novels he could find. Well, maybe one thing made this day special:

He finally finished his favourite fan-fiction yet, a story about a boy named Quinn West who one day found himself in the world of Harry Potter. Even though he was not a big fan of the decision of the author to start a harem near the end of the novel.

He too dreamed of one day being reincarnated into Harry Potter even while knowing it was a futile and childish hope and he would have to die to even have a chance of being reincarnated.

After school he was still thinking about the ending of the fan-fiction and how disappointed he was when it ended after Harry Potters left Hogwarts when he suddenly heard the sound of a car engine quickly coming in his direction while he was still crossing the street in front of the school and when he looked up quickly he saw a truck rushing towards him, apparently out of control.

Inwardly cursing his luck Julius jumped out of the way a split second before the truck passed the point where he was standing just a moment ago.

'This guy didn't even stop or at least slow down after almost hitting me what is going on?', Julius was shocked, 'Maybe the truck's breaks failed? Well at least nothing happened to me let's just go home now.

After deciding to be more careful for the rest of the way Julius started walking again he soon spotted a truck again and again it seemed to rush in his direction. Hurriedly he turned around but before even starting to run he noticed another truck, looking the exact same as the other two coming from the other direction. Cursing out loud this time Julius entered a narrow alley 'It shouldn't be able to drive through thi-' his thoughts were rudely interrupted by a somehow thinner looking truck ' What the heck?', by now Julius was screaming internally as he barely squeezed himself inside the doorframe of the next house before watching the truck rush through the alley at some times even lightly grazing the walls before he suddenly felt a sharp pain from his head before everything went dark.

When Julius opened his eyes he saw only darkness. Somehow he was also not very emotional right now while calmly wondering if he died or if this was some kind of lucid dream after he hit his head. Suddenly he heard something again, he hadn't even noticed how absolute the silence had been until now, he didn't even hear his own breathing but a voice suddenly penetrated the silence.

"Can you hear me?"

The voice asked calmly.

When Julius tried answering he suddenly noticed he couldn't, still calm he wondered what this was now until the voice spoke up again:

"Oh I'm sorry it seems I forgot to give you the ability to speak."

Suddenly regaining the ability to speak Julius immediately asked the question tormenting him, well it didn't really torment him after all he still wasn't feeling any emotions right now.

"Am I dead?"

After a short pause the voice answered:

"This is all? Nothing about where you are or who I am? Well I will answer those anyway. Starting with your question: Yes you are dead. To use an analogy you would probably understand I am like this godlike being who gives the transmigrators in your stories their wishes. And yes I did send those trucks to kill you. It was quite entertaining to watch you evade them for so long. Well anyways I will now grant you your wishes. One for every truck I needed to sent until you finally died but as you died because of a flowerpot falling onto your head after the fourth truck passed you you will only get half a wish for this one soooo 4 and half a wish it is."

'Well that is quite much to think about but it would certainly make sense, after all those trucks had to come from somewhere. But what is half a wish?' Before Julius even had the chance to think about it more in-depth the voice spoke again:

"Half a wish means you can wish for something but what you get will be a lesser version of what you wanted. Also you can't wish to get back to earth as my whole reason for doing this was you wanting to live somewhere else."

"So you can hear my thoughts too?", Julius asked calmly; even if his emotions weren't suppressed he would still not be surprised. The voice called itself a godlike entity after all.

"But anyway can I wish for anything apart from going back to earth is that right?", he continued before even giving the voice to answer to his question, it was a rethorical question anyways.

"Actually no, you can't be too unreasonable with them they have to fit into the setting and they can't just be instant power boosts so you still have to grow basically whatever I would find entertaining to watch will certainly be granted, the rest depends on the request. Just be a little bit more modest than omnipotence and you're good."

"Okay then", Julius didn't need to ponder long about this, after all he had long since hoped such a moment would come one day, "With my first wish I want to be reborn into Harry Potter, with my second wish I want to be reborn as part of one of the pureblood families in magical Britain, with my third wish I want to keep my memories with my fourth wish I want to have a great magic talent and with my last wish I want to get a system." The voice pondered for a bit before replying:

"You can have this but your last wish, the system, will be extremely downgraded as those originally do not belong into the world you want to go to. Your system will only be able to quantify the stats of people and as I know this is not exactly great I will also give you eidetic memory. Any changes you want to make? No? Okay then good luck we will probably never see each other again."

When the voice stopped speaking the darkness around Julius slowly turned to white swallowing him and slowly pulling him forward until with one jolt he was suddenly able to feel his body again. Only now realising he wasn't able to do so for the whole conversation.
