63 CHAPTER - 63 - THE MUMMIFICATION OF ANUBIS : PART ③

Anubis gazed at Vanzel and ordered the demons which were being commanded by him,

"Be sure to not damage the sword! We have to take it in our possession! If something happens to it, then I will throw all of you away into the gateway of hell! Now, go forth my demons! Go and bring me the heavens slaying sword, along with that idiot's head!"

As Vanzel saw such a huge army of demons coming for him, the first thought which came to his mind was,

"... I have to kill this Anubis guy right here and now. If I won't be able to slay him along with a demonic army, then he might be able to land a surprise attack on my father! Damn! If I wanted, then I would have left this battlefield and join the forces of Navertozwein... But, what strange tricks, the fate is playing with me. I haven't yet completed the purpose of my life! I can't die yet!"

While wielding the ultimate resolve to walk out alive after defeating every single enemy in front of his eyes, Vanzel walked towards the demonic army of Anubis. As Vanzel kept getting closer, he noticed something odd about the demons. The most common and completely strange about these demons was that, all of them were covered in some kind of binding. Their complete body, including their eyes, were wrapped by a bluish - white coloured cloth. As Vanzel gazed these demons, there was someone whose eyes were glued at Vanzel and his actions and that certain someone was none other than Anubis. While observing Vanzel, Anubis talked with himself,

"So he is the weird son of Razel my lord Navertozwein was so worried about... He has godly Gi, demonic Gi, dark Gi. But all of these Gi are in an equal quantity... Hmph! Whatever!"

All of a sudden, Anubis got excited and shouted at Vanzel,

"You can do anything you want! However! You won't be able to defeat the undefeatable mummy army of this Anubis! Many of Lord Navertozwein's controllable demons perished during his war to seize the hellish lands but, when I came under his possession, I used my ability of MUMMIFICATION to revive his demonic forces as mummies! You might have heard about mummies in the past... Nowadays, this practice is vanished from my homeland, however, my power to use the mummies however I please, remains with me! The cloth covering these mummies is indestructible! One can never defeat my mummy army! WRAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

As Vanzel listened to Anubis, a very strong feeling of urge generated within him. An urge to survive. Vanzel thought to himself,

"If what he said just now was true... Then my only option might be to abandon this land, abandon my life's goal... and run away along with my father... But abandoning one's life goal is the same as to abandoning one's complete life! That Anubis guy... Just now... He said that the cloth of his mummies was indestructible... However, there might be more to this... This is just impossible! The thing which is created for once, needs to be destroyed for once! That's the only way how the laws of the universe work!"

Despite heeding to Anubis's words, Vanzel thought to try the power of the infamous heavens slaying sword. He knew that only he was able to use its power, because, according to his father, the person who has all the three types of Gi is the only one who can wield the heavens slaying sword. It doesn't matter if one is unable to use all of the three types of Gi, the only thing that matters is that one's lineage is fulfilled with persons who were able to use any of the three types of Gi. In other words, if three persons of one's previous generation used each type of different Gi, then one would be able to wield the heavens slaying sword.

Likewise, Vanzel's grandfather, Jonas, was able to use the dark Gi, who then married a demoness and the two of them gave birth to Vanzel's father, Razel, who was able to use both the demonic Gi and the dark Gi. Later, Razel married a goddess and their son, Vanzel, inherited all of the three types of Gi from his lineage.

Vanzel continued to approach Anubis. Anubis was a little startled as he saw the fire in Vanzel's eyes and the heavens slaying sword in his hand. Heavens slaying sword's hilt itself was at least 3 feet tall. The blade of that sword was at least 6 feet tall. The silver coloured blade was ultimately beautiful. It was also shining with some kind of strange golden coloured brightness which made it looked like as if it was engulfed in flames.

Despite being so majestic, the large size of that blade made it almost impossible to use. But, Vanzel knew of a way to use it. He remembered what his father told to him,

"The size of the sheath of heavens slaying sword is only a few feet tall, but, when you remove the sheath, then the sword comes in its base form which is a total of nine feet tall. Worry not! The person wielding it can freely control the size of the sword according to themself!"

Vanzel visualized the hilt of the sword as one feet tall and the blade of the sword as 4.5 feet tall. He assimilated his demonic Gi in his entire body and he also created a barrier of godly Gi around his exterior. He dashed towards the mummified demons at immense speed.

As he approached the demons, all of a sudden! All the demons started circling around him. Without realizing, he was trapped in the enemy's trap. But, Vanzel did not lost his resolve. He transferred both of his Gi into the heavens slaying sword. Due to some unknown reasons, the golden coloured shine of the sword raised up from the sword in the form of thin waves. Those waves surrounded the sword. Even Vanzel was shocked from this spectacle. He stared at the demons coming for him and swung his sword, as hard as he was able to, to put an end to these worthless demons. While watching this, Anubis thought to himself,

"Hmph! I am confident that he won't be able to deal a scratch to my demons, after all they are mummified with my ability!"

*SPLASH!!!*

*SLICE!!!*

Blood splashed from the head of the demons who were surrounding Vanzel as he sliced through their head as if he was slicing butter with the help of the heavens slaying sword. He turned every expectation of Anubis into dust. However, Anubis was still in a calm mood. Anubis said,

"Ha! Despite being confident, I was obviously expecting something like this! It's the heavens slaying sword we are talking about! This is definitely one of its abilities! Demons! Switch to plan B!"

As soon as Anubis ordered his demons, they gathered all of their energy at one place by raising their hands up and creating a force field mid-sky. That force field carried down some kind of lightning. Vanzel was completely unaware about this as he was occupied in slaying the demons near him.

*ZAP!!!*

The red coloured lightning struck down on Vanzel! Slowly, his completely burnt arms and legs started corroding and his entire body, except his head, which he protected at the last second with the help of the heavens slaying sword, turned into dust. Vanzel was loosely stuck between life and death!
