5 Wu Jin Excitement

Four people concealed themselves within the vegetation, their auras suppressed as they stared at a cave. Among them was Wu Jin, accompanied by two men of slender build and an unremarkable woman. The team comprised two cultivators at the Fourth Level of the Qi Gathering Realm and two at the Fifth Level. Their mission this time was to eliminate a mid-rank Qi Gathering Realm Beast.

Demonic beasts lack intelligence until they reach the Gold Core Realm. Below this realm, they rely solely on their instincts to fight. Although nature has taken their intelligence, nature has also gifted them with strong defenses.

"Let's not waste any time and get started." said a person with poker face that had Fifth Level Qi Gathering Realm cultivation as he made his way to cave followed by others.

As they reached the entrance of the cave, they were suddenly confronted by a formidable beast, its appearance same as a tiger, but twice as large. Its silver skin had black spots on it. Two large, sharp teeth stick out from its mouth.

With eyes filled with anger, the beast wasted no time in lunging at them as soon as it emerged from the darkness of the cave, clearly recognizing them as enemies.

Anticipating the attack, the team swiftly drew their swords, showcasing their skills as they engaged in battle with the beast.

After half an hour, the intense battle came to an end as the massive body of the beast collapsed onto the ground, sending clouds of dust into the air.

"Huff... Huff... Finally killed it. Let's rest for a moment and replenish our Qi inside the cave. We should leave with the body soon, before its blood attracts the attention of other beasts," said the only woman among them, another Fifth level Qi Gathering Realm cultivator, as she gestured for the others to follow her into the cave.

As they ventured deeper into the cave, they found it to be small, just enough to accommodate a single room. However, what caught their attention was not the size of the cave, but a stunning herb resembling a flower emitting a blue twilight glow.

Upon seeing the herb, Wu Jin immediately tensed up, realizing its extreme value. Knowing human nature's tendency towards greed, he instinctively tried to gather Qi to defend himself from potential threats. However, he was a moment too late. Before he could react, he was confronted by simultaneous attacks from the other three individuals.

Despite his quick reflexes and experience from his previous life, Wu Jin could only block two of the attacks. Exhausted from his previous battle, he found himself unable to defend against all three enemies at once.

Helplessly, he watched as the third attack landed on his head, causing his vision to blur and sending him into darkness, accompanied by a mechanical voice sounding in his mind.

If they had fought amongst themselves instead of only targeting me, I wouldn't have died."

Just as Wu Jin uttered these words, he paused, realizing, "Huh, I'm not dead?"

As he looked around, a sense of familiarity washed over him, as if he had seen these surroundings before. Just as he began to explore further, another mechanical sound echoed in his mind, accompanied by golden words materializing in front of him.

Upon seeing his surroundings, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Sure enough, I am back at the Ice Lotus Sect." Entering the sect, he glanced at the hourglass and was stunned to see that only a little over 11 minutes had passed since he "died" and entered that world.
