Dancing with the Lion (Rewrite)

[: 3rd POV :]

Zuke reminisced about his youth when he ventured into a Secret Realm.

He vividly remembered the event where he faced defeat at the hands of a Transcendence Cultivator.

It was a moment forever etched in his memory.

A Transcendence Cultivator possessed the ability to eliminate any cultivator weaker than themselves with their aura.

It was a realm that held absolute authority, where any cultivators below the Transcendence Realm could inevitabl be killed from their Aura alone.

Thus, knowing that the beast possessing a Transcendent Realm, Zuke could only feel fear.

"How... could a Transcendence Realm appear?" He muttered with disbelief.

He was certain that the forest around them harbored no beasts surpassing the Daybreaker Realm.

Even if there were, they would be miles away.

The forest was divided into four regions, each dominated by various beasts, with the safest route to the City of Cetra lying at its center.

"Foolish human who knows nothing... Die!" declared by the transcendent Beast, and it uses its aura to eliminate Zuke and his guards.

'It's useless... I'm about to die,'

Zuke despaired, finding no way out of this dire situation.

'Eliza... I'm sorry for failing you.'

Lingering regrets for his daughter overwhelmed him.

He regretted for not being able to provide for her and, most importantly, for breaking his promise to his late wife of protecting their daughter.

'Isadia... I'm sorry.'

As the moment of death approached, he closed his eyes, awaiting the inevitable.

However, what was about to happen would greatly surprise everyone, including the beast.

"Which one of us is the foolish one?"

All of a sudden, a familiar voice resounded within Zuke's ears, and he obviously knew which voice it belonged to.

At the same time, the pressure that was oppressing them to the ground had disappeared.

Even the aura that was about to wipe out all of them had vanished.

"Daniel...?"

Zuke called out as he found that he could move his body once again.

"What's going on?" one of the guards questioned.

"How did we get freed from the pressure?" another one curiously asked.

"You can stay back, Zuke, and let me handle this," Daniel declared.

Zuke wanted to refute, to convey that he wished to join him.

Even though he didn't know how Daniel was able to free them from the pressure, the threat from the Beast and the Flame Lions has yet to disappear.

But for some reason, looking at Daniel's demeanor, Zuke couldn't disobey him.

Daniel wasn't controlling him, but what Zuke felt for him was like a decree from an Emperor.

It was like looking at someone who was at the top of the Heaven who looked down across all living beings.

Moreover, at this moment, Zuke and the guards could feel it.

Even though it wasn't pointing at them, Zuke could feel the threatening aura within Daniel.

It felt like if he approached Daniel with any ill intents, he would be killed.

Zuke still couldn't see through his cultivation realm, however, he was assured that it was at least higher than his.

For that, Zuke was starting to convince that Daniel might possess a High Cultivation Realm.

After all, if he was the one who had lifted them from the pressure, then it's not wrong for him to suspect Daniel was one.

"Alright, Daniel. I will leave this up to you..."

Even though he was reluctant, he had a feeling that the next moment might surprise.

"Patriarch...should we leave it to him...?" one of the guards asked concernedly.

"We...can only hope so...and even if he couldn't, then that means there's no hope for us,"

Zuke remarked, and immediately, all of them swallowed hard.

After all, even if Daniel had failed, there's no difference for their end.

Hence, at this point, they began begging and praying.

"Oh? What did you mean, Human?"

The Beast ignored Zuke and the rest of the guards, and its piercing eyes were focused on Daniel.

It was ready to tear its prey into tatters, however, it chose to play with it instead.

"You heard me right,"

Daniel said as he glared at the beast who was approaching him.

"Are you a mortal who has strength to prove his words, or are you just a foolish one who knows nothing about the law of the jungle?" The beast spoke.

"Well, you can try to find out,"

Daniel smirked, and instantly, the beast howled with its fangs, creating a pressure of soundwaves that went towards Daniel.

*Boom*

It impacted towards him, creating a windy blow where Zuke and his guards almost flew away.

"Such a powerful attack...is Daniel fine!?" Zuke questioned with terror.

The blast almost injured him, and looking at where Daniel stood, his heart was pumping fast.

Due to the dust that was gathered from the impact, he couldn't see clearly.

'Is he fine..'? He questioned nervously.

A few seconds later, once the dust had settled, he could see Daniel's silhouette.

"Damn you, beast!" Daniel cursed.

But not because of how powerful the blast was.

But rather because of how it almost dirtied his clothes.

"You almost dirtied my clothes,"

He was furiously angered by the Beast's inconsiderate attack.

Well, he could have dodged it, but Daniel was curious to know how powerful an attack from a Transcendent Realm felt.

However, it backfired.

At the same time, the guards were shocked and impressed by Daniel.

"That's amazing...he's able to withstand an attack from a Transcendent Realm Beast!?" one of the guards pointed.

"Look! He's even and didn't even suffer any injuries! Does that mean he's a Transcendent Realm as well?" another one said.

Immediately, they all began discussing Daniel's cultivation realm.

They were filled with hope, and Daniel seemed to be their ticket to survival.

"Hmpf! Don't be conceited just because you withstood an attack from me!" the beast declared with frustration.

It wanted to eliminate Daniel with a single attack, but it failed to do so.

"That was just a mere fraction of my power!" The beast declared.

"Whatever you say,"

Daniel shrugged, showing little concern for the beast.

"You!"

The beast was angered by his nonchalance, and it was triggered.

"Fine! I was planning on playing with you, but it seems like you seek death itself!"

It roared, and the pressure directed towards Zuke and the guards increased, causing them to suffocate.

"If you seek death, then I would gladly grant it to you," the beast furiously declared.

"Then show me,"

Daniel taunted it even further, causing the beast to become even more enraged.
