Making Money

Gu Erin didn't want to look back at the jade tablet, but knew that if he didn't he would try and repress this memory. So, with a great determination Gu Erin once again faced the truth of Chan Ai's powers.

Gu Erin felt shivers go down his back again, truly what was this? Was this real, he wasn't being pranked by the Heavens? However, no matter how many times Gu Erin checked it was still there. Gu Erin wasn't overly surprised by her innate talents. What surprised him was her Dao Heart grade, and her unique cultivation method.

Gu Erin's Dao Heart had developed this far through two years of hard work on what his life meant, and what he wished to accomplish and what drove him to do so. Your Dao Heart resembled your entirety as a living being. So, when one reached the higher realms and their Dao Heart could be wounded by words, and could even die from anger.

But, Gu Erin could accept it, what he couldn't accept was that there was a cultivation technique with his name in it. What the fuck. Just what the fuck. Gu Erin felt his own Dao heart tremble at the sheer absurdity of it all. He had just gotten over regressing, but now this?

Deciding to agree with his instinct and repress this line of thought, for now Gu Erin continued to look over the rest of the experts of his past life. Truly they were all remarkable. Innate Earth grade spirit roots, one with both physique and bloodline, the others with either one. What he did notice was that the Blood Jackets seemed far too aligned with the Devil Dao on a fundamental level.

Perhaps behavior tied into one's talents? Then could his current boons be from regressing? Maybe, probably not, but he would put them to good use.

Gu Erin looked to Chan Ai, who was happily smiling at him waiting for her evaluation. Feeling slightly distressed Gu Erin did his best to put on a calm and gentle smile.

"Your very talented Ai, you should try using a great sword later, I think it lines up with your talents pretty well." Gu Erin said softly.

Seeing the brilliant almost blinding smile made Gu Erin involuntarily feel cold to the bone, but he wouldn't let it bother him.

"Thanks, Eri! I'll make sure to follow your advice!" Chan Ai cheerily said, before a slightly hollow glint entered her eyes. "Oh, and Eri?"

"Yes?" But as soon as Gu Erin saw her normally beautiful eyes he regretted it, from those eyes, he felt a threat, one he couldn't pinpoint.

"Make sure to talk to me first when you make a harem, okay?" And with a skip in her step, she walked off towards Gu Meng Yao and Lucy who were still happily talking with very sinister smiles.

Both Gu Erin and the immediate people around him froze as they looked at Chan Ai. If she knew that she was unconsciously releasing her aura she was hiding it well. Gu Erin had no doubt that it was an unconscious action, but the fact that she could still do so was terrifying. The scariest part? It was like her aura was attracted to him like a magnet.

This… this was a true yandere.

Could it be that every yandere has their own unique cultivation method? Is that why they were so strong on Earth?

Putting this from his mind, Gu Erin knew that he would have to do damage control with the ladies of his soon to be sect. But, first he would have to organize everyone.

So, with the help of Nu Binu, Lee Shio Ming, and Kei Jiahao, Gu Erin got the attention of the crowd once again. A few people were still in line to get their boons from the robed figures.

Gu Erin first turned to Kei Jiahao. "Once everyone is ready switch out the guards outside, so they can get their boons." Gu Erin ordered.

Kei Jiahao was still a little miffed about having to listen to such a young man, but seeing how far he had gotten them in this foreign environment he kept it in. With a nod he accepted his orders and called over James, who Gu Erin found out was the vice-captain of the Blood Jackets.

Although nothing special cultivation wise, Gu Erin thinks he knows of a good opportunity for the man, and that would be the Inheritance of the Titans.

Gu Erin then separated the nearly three hundred people into four groups, two of which being significantly larger than the other two. One was the North Spirit Dojo, which was the largest, second the Sword Rain Pavilion, and the third being the Blood jackets.

The final group was about thirty people, family friends, and a few people that didn't belong in the other three. Surprisingly enough Kei Jiahao and Lee Shio Ming contacted a few of their connections and brought with them a few talented people. Gu Erin went through his memory and picked them out.

Although they weren't geniuses on the level of Chan Ai, he was sure they would become very talented with the right opportunities.

Gu Erin then started to explain. "Everyone, I will say this again… This is not Earth, there are no court systems here. The only people you need to worry about for now are the guards. With time you don't even have to even worry about them. Who you do need to worry about are our fellow humans."

Gu Erin continued, "So, in this new world we need funds. Within three days will be the first event. We will participate in this event. If you don't you might as well leave the group."

Murmurs sounded as Gu Erin went to calm the mass of people. "I understand your concern, but this is why we need money, to buy weapons. So, this is what we are going to do."

Gu Erin went on to talk for nearly an hour to share his knowledge, on his past life's money-making schemes, and by the end everyone was looking at Gu Erin with concerned gazes. Why? Why did this young man have so many devious thoughts.

Although most of these people were afraid of Gu Erin, it was more along the lines of they would have been clutching their wallets and purses if they had them. Take in mind, Gu Erin detailed how to perfectly sham someone out of money, by either pretending to be run over by a carriage driver, or to act like a mourning beggar. Although he wasn't good at acting in his past life the concepts were still there.

The only one who didn't look disgusted, afraid, or ashamed was Lee Tao. The shameless monk had a bright smile on his face. If Gu Erin had worn that smile during his lecture on making money in Heaven's Mercy. He would have been without a doubt cursed at as a scoundrel and a hooligan.

As the crowd calmed down, and smaller groups were formed Gu Erin spoke once again. "We cannot sleep in the streets; the guards will arrest us. So, once the sun sets, go outside the walls. A few of us will be setting up camp." Gu Erin paused before adding. "Expect to sleep on the ground, and go without bathing for a few days. We need to do well in the first event if we want to survive. Also, this should be obvious, but you should keep everything you learned to yourself. Do not discuss it in public by any means."

Although Gu Erin wouldn't go as far as the Natives, and most likely the universe beyond, to have each member of his sect learn a self-destructing art. It was normal if you caught a native of importance and started to interrogate them, they would undoubtedly kill themselves.

Once everyone had left Gu Erin resigned himself to the grind once again, he knew the city pretty well, should he be an errand runner?

As soon as Gu Erin stepped out of the Temple he was slammed with more than a dozen different divine senses, all seeming to want to look at him. While Gu Erin was stunned at this development a certain Monk cheerily grabbed Gu Erin's arm.

"Amitabha! My Brother! You fooled me!" Lee Tao happily clapped Gu Erin on the back. "If I had known you are one of my people I would have happily come instead of having that old man drag me here!"

Gu Erin shook himself out of the shock and tried to play his surprise into Lee Tao's words, so he did his best to embody the shameless monk he knew. "Brother, you've mistaken me, I am simply too great. This peerless genius accepts any challenge!"

"Brother, lets go try that carriage scheme, I was afraid of getting hit by a car. But, a slow carriage! Ha, this monk will fleece them dry." Lee Tao's emotions were almost infectious at the sheer enthusiasm in his voice.

Just at that moment, like the Heavens themselves blessing this idea a luxurious looking carriage passed by The two, but as Lee Tao was going to chase after its Gu Erin shook his head.

This monk was too ambitious, people who rode in those wouldn't even forgive you for being run over by their wheels, any impediment would get you simply crippled and tossed aside. Deciding to help him out, he pointed to a wagon that looked like it had seen places.

"That one," Gu Erin pointed it out. "That one is probably a lesser merchant, we should be safer for now."

The smile on Lee Tao's face only got wider, as if he was looking at his blood relative. This bald monk was sure now.

Gu Erin is shameless.
