The Nine-tailed Fox hears a prophecy

It's night and Wu Yun is somewhere he recognizes but would rather not, because it can only mean he's dreaming, and he has had enough of Ling Yan's life to last him two lifetimes. 

Ling Yan is sneaking around Immortal Mountain sect grounds, Wu Yun recognizes the path he's taking. It's not long before he happens upon the weeping willow in that small square of courtyard, where now there's only barren earth.

The sight of the weeping willow stops him for a moment, and he runs his fingers through the tear-shaped leaves, letting the thin branches tangle around his fingers. The swing under this tree is nothing like the one Shu Luan built for him, but the sight of it still makes his heart seize with grief.
