But he was foiled by that demon, by the same demon that had served him, that had empowered him to destroy her.

Anlai fell to the ground on his knees, with his hands, he grabbed his head and fiercely brought it down against the wet ground, and he repeated the motion continuously, feeling the severe aching on one side of his head, the warm trickle of blood falling down his nose and into his mouth.
