Igor's legacy
History wasn't clear enough to tell the reason why there was a demon invasion in the past or who made a contract with them to cause a global invasion, but it was clear that the invasion took place and nearly took over the planet until they were suppressed by heroes rising from three nations: the magical nation, the Stickmen and the Turfs; the Kaijus haven't been created then.
Whether it was true or not, one version of history says the magic research that caused the magic plague was to prevent any future invasion but it backfired and mutated the people of the magical nation and their offsprings.
Now, there is a sudden heartbreaking revelation not documented in history, the linkage to the same world the research was trying to prevent; the underworld, where the original five of the wizard tribe would gain their outwardly powers.
Iode was very saddened, it no wonder none of the original five deitified despite their outwardly powers because they draw their powers from a celestial.
While it was saddening that the heroes of the wizard tribe did an outrageous thing as contracting a demon, he was elated _ just relived that they used these powers to bring betterment to the kingdom and not do otherwise.
He tried to look at them in a positive light.
"So this stigma that you called emblem of Valier belongs to the demon Valier correct"?
"Actually Valier is a devil, he is a duke in the underworld". Igor clone said
"Duke? Sounds like the Stickmen political system, but to be a duke of the underworld Valier must really be a menace, a very powerful one ". Iode said
"If Valier is such a devil with high status how were the original five able to convince him from invading our world". Iode asked.
"It seems Valier isn't interested in such things as an invasion but rather interested in what individual persons can offer him, typical of a devil if i must say". Igor's clone said.
"Hmm, quite convincing, but what did they give in return for the powers they borrowed from him ". Iode asked.
"Well, I'm sorry but Igor did not tell me anything about their contract deal, but he did say that he and the others gave something very dear to them". Igor's clone replied.
Iode was puzzled, why did Igor hide that part of their contract, does he not want him to make the same mistake, but he is already in a contract with Valier unknowningly thanks to him so why is he hiding his collateral.
Is it his life force? Probably.
"But he tasked me to give this to you". Igor's clone handed over a thick covered purple book with pages that seems uncountable to the mere eyes. The book looks very old yet very neat.
"What is this". Iode asked
"That's Igor's research book, it contains spells not found in any spell books". Igor's clone answered.
"Wow".
"It also contains answer to some questions i don't know... Iode, this is Igors legacy given to you, use it wisely ". Igor's clone said.
"... Of course "
Igor's clone smiled, he could see the sadness and disappointment in Iode's face.
"Look kid, sometimes to archive a greater good for yourself, your people and future generations, one can be indulged in some things that can be disappointing to hear "
"All that matters is the results not the process, remember that ". Igor's clone said.
"..."
"Sigh"
"I will ". Iode said in an heavy voice.
"Till we meet again successor, oh less i forget, in the future, when doing your research you can write your discoveries in that book for your successor to know ".
"Also, take this, it will make you summon me anytime anywhere without coming here ". Igor's clone said as he gave Iode a shiny white quartz filled with mystic mana.
Iode looked at the stone and said:
"Alright "
A bright light enveloped him to take him back to the real world, then he suddenly remembered something, he shouted:
"Wait!! , There's something going on with me and you are the only one that can find answer to it ".
The bright light dims and Igor's clone asked
"What is it Iode".
"Nightmares, I'm having nightmares ". Iode answered.
"Nightmares uh, go on ".
