I Like Him, Moon

She's so calm and welcoming my words in such a polite manner that gives me goosebumps! Does ever history mention that enemies can even change one day? She stepped on a speck, nudging my nerves in tension. Her lips curved into a smile and let a few words out,

"Heard. You got separated from Yeran. Is that actual?"

When did her ears reach this long to be aware of minor words? You surprised me twice, Girl.

"It doesn't have to do with you, Khisae. Am I on?"

"I appreciate your attitude toward a beast like me, Moon. What if I just have much to do with your matters, especially, Yeran's?"

There's a tension in us. Playing around the matters that's enough to have counted on our confrontations. There's a lot of change in her accent. I wonder about the further matters.

"That's worst to hold it in your head, Khisae."

She made a sudden move that made me realize it tardily. My wrist was held by her, is the closeness too much? My eyes collide in ablaze. She sealed me, suffocating me. Pushing me a bit she filled the gap between us, saying,

"I will only take a few steps to pull down everything, Moon. Just a few steps."

…Huh? The voice was kinda shrill and whispery, holding my breath to be down at any time saying it was all that she needed to possess someone's body this good. But there was a thing marking my patience into an unproven mathematical equation… my nerves strengthened and my bone narrowed its way to her neck and gripped it.

"I will count only seconds to hold your steps, Khisae. Just seconds!"

A sudden release of my wrist from her cage-like palms and soon she spotlights a smirk on that face she claimed to be an award-winning one. The wind flushed over our shoulders, and crinkled our long coats, pining our thoughts with it away like a message.

"Protect that fatty, Moon. Tell him that Khisae Kennedy is back! This time he is sure-"

"Khisae! Fairer you stay where you're! Better not touch him!"

"How long? How long you're gonna even protect him, Moon? One day he has to kick the bucket anyhow just so he dies a bit sooner in my hands, is that wrong?"

"Tsk! What a person you are! Shame on yourself!"

She just smiled and said nothing. I just wanna bury her! What a frustrating species!

"Hey! Elder Khisae! Pick me up!"

Elder Khisae? Too formal and aristocratic, man. Before she had her path she suddenly made a move behind and smiled brightly at me. She's so gracious… No, hold on! How can a beast like she ever be warm? Never! Never and ever!

I felt butterflies in my stomach when I had a glimpse of Khisae being so gracious with her younger sister. A simple smile to the thought saying, "Even beasts have heart." I breathed. Looking at the shadows formed from behind, I just came to know that people began gathering for the bus– gonna arrive in 5 minutes to count now.

"Ha…! Goodbye, guys. I'm weary…"

"You just arrived, Mo- Ah, Fowler! And saying goodbye, huh?!"

This guy is no longer trusted to be an enigma box of my hidden self. C'mon dear, don't just embarrass me with my first name. I added nothing further. Took a seat, sat down, and began drawing the words of Khisae's on the wall where writing is forbidden. Soon on to the transparent glass– might have been cleaned lately, was the place I reflected.

It's not as easy as reflecting on the glass to reflect on the words. Sometimes it's a memory too. The harder I jerk it the sooner I puzzle my memories. It's tougher to keep someone's face forever than words– as if they are trash to be forgotten. If only I could remember that guy face who was bullied by the name 'Fatty' in elementary school.

How… How was I reckoned to safeguard him from Khisae?! When I have forfeited his name, his picture, his everything!! Ash!

"Brother Fowler…" I just looked at Ethan to get twitch at the day-by-day increase in his concern for me. What if one day this leads to a wrong path? "What happened, Brother Fowler?" I just stuck to mute and struck my head.

"Millou. I need your help."

"Huh? Why would– Hey! No! I don't wanna come!"

I just stopped continuing my words and dragged him out. I know I faded another star but… please, don't lead yourself to the wrong person, Ethan. I had already guessed your gender with your voice the very first day. If you're in search of an aristocrat then I'm not the one.

"Tsk!" He quickly grabbed his ʜᴀɴᴅ back, shoving me away. From a little distance, I looked at him baffled, he frowned his brows forming wrinkles on his forehead. In a span of a second, he trailed his hand on my neck. Gripping it tighter and tighter until I show up in ache.

"What the f**k are you doing, Millou?!"

"What's wrong with you, Moon? Why are you behaving as if you like me, huh?! I hate you the most! The most– ever your Mom could!"

Huh?... Why would I ever fall for this hore?! "Shut up! What do you think of yourself, huh? You're someone in stardom I would fall for you! I'm those fools! A*shole!"

I nudged him and ran away… what am I doing? What's wrong with me? Am I too wrong to be misunderstood? Am I too false to be loathed by others? What the!-- Huffing in the middle of the road, I just see no one but the empty roads in the afternoon. People might be at their works ᴊᴜꜱᴛ ᴏɴʟy ɪ'ᴍ ᴀꜱɪᴅᴇ.

"I know it's weird to ask…but would you mind breaking up with Millou?"

I looked at her while she was deep into her thoughts. I guess… she's not ready for my words or might have not expected such a request from me. But… I do want her to be out of Millou. Though it's harder for me to gulp the truth I love her but at least she can distance him, no? I really…-

"I…I like him, Moon. So, I'm sorry." Huh?... Fine, everyone has their lines to not be crossed. Who am I eventually to force her? I could just force a smile or a poker face… for now.

"Haha. I was just kidding, Tang. You don't have to worry about that."

Lies have goods too. In such claims as this. Is that okay if I just let her have what she yearns for? But…It might ill-treat me, no? The pieces I hemmed in my broken hearts still have visible lines on them. Is that still okay to yank it more…?

"...Uh? Ha, that's fine though."

"I might be going now. If you're alone then let me drop you home, Dear Tang."

"It's my leisure time. I don't mind if you allow me to come with you, Moon."

She's still the same. That naughty Cherry nonetheless lives in her. I… admire it. I smiled and said, "I surely don't mind, Dear Tang." Her laughter was a sweet dish before my meal, I could enjoy it better than my meal, especially Tangwen sweet, which is my favourite. While we were walking she slowly locked her hand with mine. A shrill chain trailed down my spine, God this girl is unpredictable.

"Where are we going?"

"To Edwin's residence. For a special person."

"Edwin? Is that soooooo special to you, Moon?"

"Yes, soooooooooooooo special."

After a few long minutes, longer than the china wall, we were finally located at Edwin's residence. Carl Edwin's house where lately Yeran White shifted. Maybe soon she's gonna shift to Edwin from White too. Omg! I just can't stop imagining their marriage, Man!!

They are just official partners! I'm happy for both my best friends!

"Hello, Dear Moon. It's been a while since I've met you." Sir Elder Edwin made a smiling face as I entered in interlocking hands with Tangwen. Sir Elder Edwin is Carl Edwin's grandfather. And the person I respect the most.

"Me too, Sir Elder Edwin. How have you been?"

He smiled. "Dear Moon, call me grandpa. Sir Elder Edwin is too formal for you, Dear."

Such a good heart! I'm impressed! "ʜᴇʜ! ᴡɪʟʟ ᴅᴏ, ɢʀᴀɴᴅᴩᴀ."

"That's surely only our people's matter! Right, Dear!"

Grandpa Edwin and I were giggling when I heard footsteps increasing slowly towards us. As it suddenly stopped I peered at the person. I didn't get out of line as it was Carl Edwin. It's obvious to see him however it's his house. Then I went with another pair of steps getting louder than louder then quickly halted half way. And it was unexpectedly…Yeran.

Like…it's not what I anticipated but I was hoping to not face her with such serious and hatred look over me. That's not what I desired. Maybe…it's just her now. What if she had never thought of forgiving me…?! That's unfair! How can she ever think of it?!

Hash!! Just stop thinking before it could even come true, Moon!!

"Moon? An unexpected guest?" That's how you address me, Yeran. Wow. Am I that bad now? That she hated me for this long. What is even my fault! I don't wanna lose my friend, she was everything to me, from the very beginning of our relationship-like friendship.

I just can't stand this unbearable pain anymore! My heart can't take it anymore…, Yeran.

"What brought you here, Dear Moon?"

"...A little favour, Carl. Can you do it?"

I spread out the words with no such huge effort, neither I dare to look into the couples eyes nor they have any guilt towards the words they let their friend endure. It's fine, no? Wholly.
