Chapter 7

Zhao Lusi woke up the next day and went down to join her family for breakfast. All the members of the family were present on the first floor. The sliding glass doors were open and the sunlight was pouring in.

She went to the kitchen and started preparing avocado toast for four people. Two for each. After a while her sister-in-law, Qiao Shi Yu joined her in the kitchen.

"Good morning, did you sleep well?" She asked Zhao Lusi while softly smiling and preparing to make pancakes for the children.

"Yes, sister-in-law. It was good. At least slept early than usual." Zhao Lusi answered while keeping her head down, engaged in quickly making avocado toast.

"And what is your new early?" Qiao Shi Yu asked her.

"It's one o'clock."

"Indeed, it can be considered early for your case."

To which Zhao Lusi laughed. Indeed it was early for her as she had insomnia for many years now.

She soon finished with the avocado toast and proceeded to shift it to the dining table where her father, Zhao Wen Ming, and big brother, Zhao Hao Hong were sitting. And soon her mother, Yang Yue joined them on the table with her two-year-old grand-daughter, Zhao Liying in her arms.

Zhao Wen Ming greeted his darling daughter and asked, "Baby, what's for breakfast?"

"Just five minutes dad, I have already put the veg-omelet toast on the pan. They are for you and will be done soon." Zhao Lusi answered her dad and placed the avocado toast in front of her brother and mother. As well as in front of the empty chairs belonging to her sister-in-law and her.

"And what's for me aunt?" came a cute voice running towards her from the living room. That was her four-year-old nephew, Zhao Yun. Both of her niece and nephew were adorable buns.

"Your mother is preparing pancakes for both of you. Go tell her which flavors you want." Zhao Lusi informed him and pinched his cheeks.

Then she flipped the Veg-omelet toast and proceeded to make coffee for everyone and her sister-in-law made tea for herself, as she preferred tea over the coffee.

After everything was prepared, everyone was sitting at the table and having conversations while enjoying their breakfast. They were a total of seven members. They usually had veg food and only occasionally ate non-veg. More so for both daughter and mother. They were not big fans of meat and also two of the best cooks of the family.

After breakfast, they shifted to the living room and spend some time talking. After which few separated to do their work.

Zhao Lusi came back to her room and was going through the bag she was carrying yesterday night to get her wallet from it. And she soon realized that her work ID was missing. She panicked and tried searching for it in her memory lane.

She soon realized how she might have lost it and where it could be lying if it is still there. That memory brought back the encounter with the handsome man.

'He was good looking, okay.' She thought with her mouth tugged upwards in one side. Then at the next second, she frowned, when she remembered that he had seen her in tears. 'He must think I am a crybaby. Damm it.'

After that, she decided to revisit the street where she lost the ID to see if she could find it, or she would have to get a new one and pay for it when she returns.
