13 Releasing the demon king 2

Rivaka glanced at the golden door one more time, slowly exhaling through her mouth. She thought of every possible way to open the door, without going out to feed on the Divinities of those asiralds outside. Besides, she had to be quick in releasing the demon king, to avoid complicating issues.

How she wished those asiralds she saw lying dead where actually alive, it would've been easier for her. Luckily for her, an idea crossed her mind. She could be able to absolve zens from her Immediate environment; But that ability required time and concentration. Taking time was something she clearly needed to avoid, But there was no other choice.

Drawing Zens from her surrounding would be faster.

Shutting her eyes within the veil that covered it. Rivaka inhaled deeply; Her chest rising in corresponce to the amount of air she inhaled. Slowly, the dark mage began to exhale, releasing black mists through her nostrils. Her body also did the same through the pores of her pale white skin, diffusing into the atmosphere. Black mists began to move serpentine like, Crawling on every single thing around the dark mage. Heading for the passage which was it's entrance.

Despite all this occurrence, the golden door was spared from the black nightcrawling mists...

At the passage enshrouded with darkness, two weak Asiralds supported themselves by gropping on the rough walls of the passage. Feebly and slowly approaching the chamber where the white paled intruder had entered. They both had their Divine weapon ready to slay whoever that intruder was, no matter the grief condition they were in. They were ready to die while fighting for the benefits of their kingdoms.

Low sounds of little harmless creatures scurrying around could also be heard as they made light scratch sounds on the walls as they moved.

Just as both warriors were close by,

"..."

The mage asirald within both of them twitched and stopped on his track. His eyes widened in shock. What was this weird and deadly aura he received from that place? It felt like the ability of a dark mage, or was it a dark mage? Was the pale skinned intruder a Dark mage? Impossible! The heavily injured elven warrior beside him casted a confused look at him.

"W-What is it?.. Orion?" The elven called looking at the stiff asirald beside him "Orion! What did you see?" He called again accompanied by a low echo of his voice, drifting the mage off his trance. Orion shook slightly, recovering from his trance. He turned towards the Asirald elf beside him. His body shaky and filled with unknown fears of his new discovery.

"Evil entity!.. Evil being!.. Within that Chamber. Powerful one. I suggest we leave and return Immediately to the guild... W-We must inform them." Orion stuttered, his heart throbbing in fear. "We must leave. Now!" He added, lowering his voice. Hoping the intruder didn't hear them discuss as their words echoed.

"Why? We are warriors, powerful and respectable one's at that... We should fight and die for our kingdoms. Not fleeing for a mere intruder." The elven beside him doubted the possibility of anything dangerous happening. He was oblivion of the deadly creature that lurked within the Golden door chamber. Orion at the other hand could only but sigh. Did he ever think they were a match for that Dark mage within? That was complete madness and suicide! He thought.

"I say we return back to the guild. This creature seems powerful to have bested and defeated the others outside" Orion persuaded the elven beside him, trying to make the other understand the situation.

"We would not flee for a mere intruder Orion! This intruder is clearly here to release the demon king, and we both know what that means" The elven stated reducing his voice from shouting angrily. He seemed to be pissed of and disgusted by the cowardly attitude of his fellow warrior who should be fighting not flighting from a combat.

"Lots of lives including families, fathers, mothers, childrens Orion! Childrens. Would be lost if he is released. Why can't we just en-" He added but was cut off by Orion.

"End! You talk of end? Frank there is NO WAY we are going to best and defeat that creature. No matter what, it's clearly powerful than us. Fleeing is the best option Frank. Fleeing!" Orion's words echoed in the passage before dying out. "As a mage I have sensed it's Aura, and without doubt it's clearly a dark mage. There's no way we both are capable of besting and defeating it. Jamar could have sensed it earlier"

After a few more words of persuasion, Orion finally convinced the elven of their retreat. Sparking two stones together, he flamed up a wood he had picked nearby. They were both stunned by the next thing they saw behind the flames that Orion had litted up for their retreat.

A black serpentine mist crawled towards them. It encased every single particle on its way towards them. it seemed like there was a transportation of material going on within it as the mist had some convoluted patterns.

Orion dropped the wood that he held for light, taking a few steps backwards. His actions were also mimicked by the elven who witnessed that sight. It was drawing Zen from every single living thing in the dungeon. Hence transforming them into Divinity. Orion cringed, who was this mage that was able to learn the Zenfarion ability? An ability that needed time and stern concentration to le—

CRUSH!

The elven beside him had mistakenly smashed a part of the wall using his divine weapon which was a mace, while steading himself for the mists that approached them; releasing Ivory Divinity. Orion on the other hand released Cyan Divinity ready to charge his fellow warrior.

As the mist inched closer and closer they both inched back. Preparing to flee at any slight absurdity.

All of a sudden...

SUSH!

A blade from behind passed through the belly of the elven warrior beside Orion, whirling and swirling as it twisted the organs in the belly of the elven.

"Augh" Frank groaned in deep pang, as he felt his internal organs twist and turn to the effect of the blade in his belly. He coughed out blood all clotted and red, with traces of blood left on his lips. His brown lips were smeared with red colours. After some minutes of swirling torture, the blade was gruelly pulled out of him followed by his organs. A sharp kick was accompanied which sent to him flying towards the black mist.

THUD!

Frank's lifeless body fell within the black crawling mists.

At this point, Rivaka was disrupted of her concentration as her deep all black eyes fluttered open.

"Arghhhh" She groaned in utmost annoyance. All her hardworks were just wasted all for nothing. She swore within herself to butcher and grill whoever that individual was...

Back at the passage, The black serpentine mist had suddenly disappeared at the crashing of Frank who died at the spot. Orion fidgeted at the bloody elven who murdered his fellow race and kind. Slightly moving backwards at every forward step the murderer took. What made him do that? Orion thought with his guard all up, looking for the slightest opportunity for his escape. Since he was powerless towards Franks murderer.

"E-Elvin! Why did you murder him? He... He was your kind?" He asked moving backwards, his brain racking for escape route.

"I thought you both had died earlier, after my first attack. I was wrong. Guess I'll have to finish to finish it now." Were the only reply Orion heard from the murderer that walked towards him. Dawnlight had began to sip into the dungeon through some holes made at the top of the passage, revealing hints of the murderers features, who's coral eyes were etched with hatred and anger as he inched closer to the Mage.

THUD!

Orion fell hard on his butt as he stumbled on the wood the he dropped on the floor earlier. "Shit" He cursed inwardly using his hands to crawl backwards, Trying to keep himself out of the murderers reach. Tension was all over him as his hands began to feel webble and weak due to the injury he had sustained earlier plus the ones he sustained while crawling with his hands.

Without much time, The murderer was right in front of him. His glaive weapon glowed as it was encased with coral Divinity. Orion saw his opponent stretch his weapon towards him.

"This would be the end of you all. I will make sure I have you all dead... bit by bit. No one, not even one of you would be spared." He heard the murderer say before sighing pitiably. But before then a drop of tear that escaped the other's eyes couldn't be missed.

"Dear Orion, time to say good bye" The murderer raised his glaive, ready to slit the throat of the mage asirald open. Orion on the other hand felt his heart leave his chest, beating thunderously in his stomach. Beads of sweat dripped from every corner of his face as he saw the weapon inched closer and closer. Out of reflexes, he shut his eyes ready to receive the final blow of the weapon before him. He could feel it inch closer than before.

Just as the glaive was about to strike his throat, sending his soul out of his body. Only then did he hear a loud feminine voice bellow at a distance,

"STOP!!"
