1 Chapter-1 Dream come true

The plane is moving at its own speed above the clouds. Diana is enjoying this view from the plane window. oh! sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Hi, I am Diana. I am a Digital marketing manager at an IT company. For a long time, I was planning for a tour to Canada. Now, my dream going to be true, I am on a plane right now, after some time I will be in Canada. Yah! I am so excited.

(After some time)

Now I can see Toronto from the plane window. And it's looking very beautiful. Big buildings are looking very small. As the plane going down the buildings are increasing their sizes. My heart is beating very fast. So much fast, I can hear its sound.

Finally, the plane landed. the time came when I will put my first step on Canadian land. Before coming, I already informed my Uncle John( My father's friend). He told that he will come to the airport to pick me. Maybe he is waiting for me. I have taken my luggage and completed the verification procedure. I came out now.

Where is Uncle John? I am looking for him, suddenly I saw him. He wore blue jeans with white a shirt and a black coat. He is tall and handsome. It is the first time when we are meeting. Before that, we only spoke on phone.

Hi Uncle, How are you?

I am good, How was your journey, Diana?

He helps me with my luggage and starts walking to the exit. Diana waits here, I bring my car. Ok, Uncle. After a few minutes, he brings his car. Uncle John put my luggage in Car's trunk. Let's go, your Aunt is waiting at home. Uncle John's home is not so much far from the airport and it takes little time to reach home. While going home, I am enjoying the view of this beautiful city. The weather is a little cold. After some time we reached home. Uncle John is staying with his family in Toronto for the last 25 years. All the houses are looking the same from the outside. It can only be recognized with house no. We took the luggage from the car. Suddenly, Aunt Amelia opens the door.

Welcome, Diana (Aunt Amelia says, While hugging).

My dear, how was your journey?

It was good. I enjoyed it.

Aunt Amelia took me to the room which they arrange for me. Diana come with me let me take you to your room, Aunt says.

I took my luggage to the room with Uncle john's help. The room is upstairs. The room is on the left side of the stairs.

Diana this is your room, Aunt Amelia says while opening the door.

The Room is looking very beautiful. In the center of the room there is a big bed, right-hand side of this there is a big window, from which I can see the front view of the house. There is a big sofa near to the window. And on the left side of the bed, there is a big wardrobe and next to this there is the washroom.

Do you like it, Aunt says.

Yes, I love it.

Diana, you get fresh first, by then I will prepare food for you.

(Uncle John and Aunt Amelia went downstairs)

I open my luggage and take out my clothes which I want to wear after shower. I took shower and wear my orchid blue jogger and a white t-shirt. I am very tired because of the long journey and want to sleep but also feeling hungry. I went down the stairs. Aunt Amelia prepared food and arranging on the dining table.

You came! Come and sit here. I prepared all your favorite dishes, Aunt says. I take a chair and sat. Aunt prepared chicken, mix veg soup, salad and cupcakes.

First taste this. (Aunt Amelia took cupcake )

I know you like to have sweet first. So, taste this cupcake.

Aunt Amelia put pancake in my mouth.

umm! it's delicious (While eating cupcake).

Aunt, Where is Uncle John?

Your Uncle got a call from the office and so he left. He will come in the evening.

I start having food. Aunt sat next to me. We both started taking. After having food. I went back to my room for a nap. After some hours Suddenly I woke, oh! it's 7 o'clock in the evening. I slept so long, now it will difficult to sleep at the night. I went to the washroom and washed my face and come back to the room and stand near the window and start looking outside. It is dusk. And the outside view is so gorgeous.

Everything looking like a dream. But it's true. I wanted to come to Canada, today I am here and my dream comes true. I am very happy and excited. I will start visiting all my favorite places tomorrow. For which I was planning for a long time. I was just thinking, suddenly, somebody taps the door. I opened the door, Aunt Amelia is there.

You woke up, dear.

Yes Aunt, Just now I woke up.

You want to have coffee, Aunt says.

Yes, of course.

Ok, then I am going to make it, Aunt told.

Ok, I am also coming with you.

We both went to the kitchen and start making coffee. Uncle John also came back from the office. He is sitting in the drawing-room which is next to the kitchen.

I took coffee in a tray and went to the drawing-room. Aunt Amelia also came there. I gave coffee to the uncle and Aunt and also took one for me and sit near to them. We started taking. Now, it's 8 pm. Aunt went to the kitchen to prepare dinner and I also went with her and start helping. While talking we prepared food. Then I start arranging on the dining table. Uncle also came for dinner. We had dinner all together. After that, I helped Aunt to clean the table and Uncle went into the garden for a walk. There is a small garden in the backyard. After some time, I also went there. Uncle starts telling me about the time when he came to Canada. He told me that, how he settled there. I didn't even know how the time passed while talking.

Aunt starts calling us. We both went inside.

Dia, do rest now. You must be tired because of the long journey, Uncle says.

I slept in the afternoon, now I am not feeling sleepy. So I want to sit here and watch TV for a while. And also I didn't call at home. Mom & Dad may be worrying about me.

Ok no problem dear, Aunt says.

Uncle went to the bedroom and after few minutes came back.

Diana, I had forgotten to give you this sim card. Use this number, till the time you are here. And I already informed your parents that, you reached here safely.

If you need anything let me know, Uncle says.

Ok, good night uncle, good night aunt

Uncle and Aunt both went into their room. I called my Dad and starting talking with him after few minutes I disconnect the call and sit on the sofa. Suddenly I heard the voice of the door. I ignored it and start using my phone. But I feel like somebody stands behind me. I turn back to see and scare. For few seconds I stopped breathing and my heart beating very fast like a saw ghost. But nothing like that, there is no ghost. A boy is standing there. A long face, black eyes, black hair, tall and looking handsome in a blue formal suit.

I remember, Uncle John has a son but I forgot his name, I was just thinking. He told me my name.

Diana! Am I right?

Hey, I am Jack.

Hi, I am Diana

So finally, you came. For a long time I am hearing about you from my parents, he says.

So, what's going on? he asks me

Nothing special, I reply with a soft voice.

We both start taking while sitting in the drawing-room. Jack was born in India, when he was 4 years old, he came to Canada with his parents. So he doesn't know so much about his birthplace, their language, and culture. He knows English and French very well. He is now working in an IT company as a software developer.

He asked me whether I have a boyfriend but don't have one, so I said, no. While talking with him, I come to know he has a girlfriend and she is from Canada. He didn't tell his parents. Because they want him to marry a girl with their choice. I told him that he needs to talk with his parents once. I think they will accept your choice.

Jack- Hmm

But... You have to help me in this matter.

Me- ok, sure

( We both smile)

We have become good friends now.

Jack- So...What is your for tomorrow?

Me- I will go some near places to see.

Jack- Tomorrow is a Friday. Would you like to go pub tomorrow night?

Me- hmm... Ok, I will

Jack- Done.

I will inform Hande also ( jack's girlfriend) and you will meet with her.

Me- Ok

We talk till late at night and after making tomorrow's plan while saying good night we both went to our rooms.
