Chapter: The first meet

"Hurry up Anna !" a voice from downstairs "We're already late " Sarah shouted while waiting for her elder sister

"Alright! Alright, I'm coming!" Anna answered while she was coming downstairs, she was wearing a white uniform and black, flat shoes. they are both college students, the same department, from a private catholic school.

"Let's go !" Anna invited

They both went to school riding a jeepney. jeepney is commonly known as jeep, the most popular public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decoration, which have become a widespread symbol of the culture and art of the country.

After an hour Anna and Sarah arrived at the University. They tap their identification card on the tapping device before they can enter the campus. Their basic information may appear on the monitor before they can enter.

Anna went to the restroom first. She fixed her wavy black hair, rolled it to make it bun, covered it with a hairnet and added a hair clip. Some of the nursing students put on some make-up. Their professor wanted them to look presentable, they should be neat and clean.

Shania came and fixed her hair, add some lipstick, and put powder on her cheeks

"girl have you done answering our assignment?" own Shania asked her

"not yet" she answered without hesitation "I don't know the right answer"

"weeh" Shania expression, she didn't want to believe her because Anna was included in the dean's lister.

"it's true.." Anna defended herself "I don't know the answer..." she added "I've been watching Netflix this whole weekend "

"hmm okay okay... Later we will see, I'm sure you've got the right answer... Later you're still in top 1 this semester" Shania said " so proud of you girl!" she added and smiled at her

"tsk tsk," Anna said and smiled back at her

A few moments. Anna and Shania went to their classroom and sat in their seats. Their friend Frej came and sat next to her.

" I caught my boyfriend, flirting with his ex-girlfriend," Frej said

"Ohhhhh, I knew it..." Shania said

" How did you catch them... " Anna asked

" I have read their chat, " she answered. " he doesn't know that I know his password on Facebook"

"Maybe she is hot in bed...." Shania said

And they both laughed

"That slut" frej said

And later their professor came.

"Are you ready for class?" he asked while walking toward the center of the class. He's short and chubby and Gay.

" Please prepare a one-fourth sheet of paper" he commanded

"What??" they answered shockingly

"yes! We have a pretest today" he answered "alright close your books" he added so the entire class closed their books and notes

Their professor started to distribute the test paper.

While the examination is ongoing.

"mind your paper class," he said

"don't worry, it's just a pre-test..." he added and suddenly smirked

"right Ms. Rodriguez?" he continued

Anna Rodriguez is one of the rank 1 among the 60 students in a class, She is also the president of their batch.

Anna smirks and shakes her head disagreeing with her professor.

Everyone looks at her even her best friend Shania

After 10 minutes the examination done

They passed their papers and started checking them.

CHAIRMAN YANG POV:

"Everything is ready chairman," the middle-aged man said to the chairman who sat beside him while giving him the brown envelope

"good," the chairman said while checking the papers inside the envelope "Have you checked the evidence?" the chairman asked

And his private investigator nodded

" by the way chairman, She's in Paris now, might weeks after she comes here"

"yes, you're right" the chairman took a deep breath " That is why I need you to finish everything that we started" the chairman answered

"Yes !" he answered "all right,

"By the way, you can spend a vacation for a while" the chairman reprimanded "I will call you "

Yes, chairman...I'm only one call away ... " he said "I have to go" he went outside from the car

Before he closed the door

"I'll send the money to your account," the chairman told him

"thank you, chairman," he said while closing the door

"Let's go," the chairman said to his driver and his driver started the car and drove off. In the middle of the road, the chairman changed his mind.

ANNA'S POV

A while ago their professor started teaching them. After two hours of discussing the history and ethics of nursing, their class for that day is over.

Her circle of friends went to the fast food in front of the University.

They started to make an order and sat on the corner.

"a piece of chicken, one rice, and drinks," Anna told to her friends

"hmmm, only pasta" Shania requested

"two-piece of chicken with pasta and drinks," Nikki said

"Me too" Frej added

They were chatting and laughing while digging their food. Talking about their boyfriends, sex life, etc...

A few minutes later, they decided to go back to campus.

While walking towards the door with her friends, Anna suddenly bumps into the old man thus the papers and folders that the old man brought were accidentally dropped on the floor.

Her friends help her to pick up all the papers on the floor.

"I'm so sorry," Anna said to the old man

"No no no" he replied " I am so sorry also... It's my fault I am not the one who's looking my way " he added

" oh no!" Anna replied he gave all the papers to the old man "It's my fault" she insisted " I uh busy talking with my friends she said," Are you alright sir?" Anna concerns

" yes I'm fine, thank you," he said with a smile "Thank you to all of you" he added while fixing his things

" and I'm so sorry" he continued

" oh there it is" Shania gave the old man the old photo

Everyone saw the picture

Anna was suddenly shocked when she saw the picture. She suddenly picked the photo from Shania's hands

" omg! It's my Dad and my grandpa" she surprisingly said

" Really?" the old man asked

" yes, and it's me when I was young" Anna explained

" Ohh! My goodness, don't tell me you're Rosendo's grandchild" he answered

" yes"

" oh my goodness! What a small world" he said " can we talked" he invited

"Oh oh," Anna said and didn't want to stay

" I'm his friend, your grandfather's friend" he explained "I'm his best friend"

Anna's friend didn't stay so they went first

Anna and that old man sat on the corner

" you want something?" the old man asked

" ah no thank you" Anna answered

"Tell me, are you the granddaughter of my best friend"

"yes" she answered confidently "If you're asking me if I am the granddaughter of Rosendo Rodriguez... yes I am," she said

" by the way, I'm Marvin Yang" he introduced himself "Rosendo has been my best since high school, the last thing I remember was when we chatted about 8 years ago" Mr. Yang started to tell a story

"8 years ago?" she asked

" Yes" he answered

" He died eight years ago Mr. Yang," she said

"I know... That is why we've lost our contact... The last thing I remember is we've agreed to meet here in Manila." he smiled

"yes I remember that my family was planning to spend a vacation here but it didn't happen, because he had a cardiac attack" she explained

" I got this picture from him, he sent it to me, he told me he's coming with his family..." he said

He took a deep breath

Anna suddenly looked at her wristwatch

" Maybe you will be late, Go on," Mr. Yang said

" I'm so sorry Mr. Yang..." she stood up

" no worries, it's alright," he said "By the way I didn't know your name," he asked

Anna smiled at him

" ah yeah right I almost forgot to tell you," Anna said and she laughed " I am Anna Mr. Yang... Anna"

"do not call me Mr. Yang, I would love... If you've called me LOLO"

In the Philippines LOLO means Grandpa...

Anna looked at him

"Please..." he pleased

Anna nodded and smiled while waving to him

She walked out, went to the University, and met her friends.

While Mr. Yang, he's very happy to meet his best friend's granddaughter. He went home after meeting her.

It was already dusk when Anna and her sister went home. They rode the jeepney again, It's kind of traffic.

Traffic is known in Manila, especially during rush hour.

Meanwhile, the sisters looked outside the window, Anna saw a Porsche car... It's color black. She was amazed by that car.

"wow! How I wished someday... I am driving on that car .." she said to her sister

"yes... Someday we will" she agreed "Who's the driver?" she asked

"is she or he?" they both guessing

"Is he handsome or is she pretty?" they continued

A few minutes later, the window of the Porsche car was suddenly open.

They both grinned and were shocked when they finally knew the answer to their question.

"omg!" Sarah said

"Wow!" Anna replied

"he's soooo super duper handsome" They both whispered

" he looks familiar," Anna said "Omg... Yes...he looks..." She continued

"WHO?" Her sister asked that couldn't wait to know who is that guy

"Yes it's him..." she whispered "he looks like Daniel Henney"

"of course not" her sister disagreed "Daniel Henney is much more handsome than him"

"I know," Anna said " I'm saying he looks like Daniel Henney some part of him" she explained

They both giggled and laugh

" I'm sure he had a girlfriend already," Sarah said

"100%" Anna Agreed

After a minute the traffic light changes to its color, from red light to green color. Thus the Porsche car drove off until they can't see them.

TOM POV

He parked his Porsche car. He went out and took an elevator going up to the 24th floor. He remembered the two students laughing and giggling inside the jeepney. He smiled because he felt that they're talking about his car.

A moment later the elevator bell opened suddenly. He walked towards his room, 10 rooms away from the elevator, he was playing his key while walking in the hallway.

He opened his room and

"ta-da" His girlfriend surprised him with a party popper

"oh my goodness babe," he said and he hugged her so tight and kissed her on the forehead "What are you doing here?" he surprisingly asked her, "I thought you were in Paris" he continued

Her girlfriend laugh

"I miss you" she answered

" I miss you too" he answered and he kissed her lips.

"yes I was in Paris before I came here, I just wanted to give you a surprise" she answered

"well you did..." and hugged her again

"come... I prepared something for you" Mildred invited him into the kitchen

"Yehey!..." they both walked towards the kitchen

"these are my favorite" Tom surprisingly

"I know that is why I cooked them for you."

"aww, babe.." he hugs her again from the back and kissed her on her neck.

"thank you" he whispered

Mildred turned back and she gave him a French kiss. They both missed each other.

Mildred and Tom are in a relationship since high school. But they parted away when Tom's Grandfather disagreed with their relationship.

Mildred was brought by Tom's grandfather when she's five years old, her parents died in a car accident while traveling in London.

Since then the two lovers were become close friends and fallen in love.

ANNA POV:

Anna and her sister finally came to their rented house. They both changes their clothes and started to do house chores...

Anna and her four siblings are living together, while their parents stayed in the province. Two of her elder sisters are working while and her younger sister is both studying nursing at a private University.

Anna is the third child among the seven siblings.

Her father is a farmer and runs a business "welding shop".

While they are having dinner her elder sister Karen

"I won a house and lot?" she told them surprisingly

"REALLY," they asked

Her sister nodded

"oh my gosh" they shouted "can't believe it," Anna said

"is it legit?" Dianne asked

Karen shrug her shoulder and smirk

"Maybe it's a scam," Sarah said

And they are all feeling lonely...

"How I wished it's true" Anna convincing herself

"haisst" Karen walked out through the bedroom and got a piece of paper from the handbag. She showed it to her sisters

" oh my gosh" they are all excitingly shouted as they have no neighbors

"shhh" Karen reprimand them

"yes... I called the agency and verified if it's legit or not" Karen told them " I asked them where and how did I won and you know... How come... They told me I won because It's my luck... It was given by God" they told me... I was won on the raffle.... " she continued

" where? " they asked

Karen told them everything. So they were so excited to pack their things because a week after they will be able to transfer and live in the subdivision without renting an apartment anymore.
