Galaron

Glenn decided to team up with John as they try to figure out what was happening. There must be some sort of condition that allowed them to remember God's Omen, but the rest of the world does not.

Anothe mystery was where the children and the elderly were. From the group they were in, there were only adults and late teenagers. Glenn's conscience wouldn't allow him to just sit still while people are in trouble.

"John, right?" Glenn asked. "It would be too suspicious if we group together this early on. Let's split up for now and gather as much information as we can. We'll have a much broader scope this way."

John understood, "Alright. I will cover the east side of the town. We'll see each other in the town center in three days."

"That's good for me," Glenn agreed.

It was then that the two of them split up and followed different paths. They were almost at the town, so while they travel there, they should start to create connections.

Glenn observed that John was a socially active person. Not a minute after he split up with Glenn, he made new friends and they were now talking loudly.

"Wish I have that kind of ability," Glenn sighed. He decided to reopen his interface to review everything there.

This world was still a one big mystery that was hard to figure out. It looked exactly like God's Omen, and even the account was from God's Omen.

But why was this happening?

God's Omen was only a game that became popular because it was very easy, yet it's complicated. Suddenly the game colliding with reality wasn't a natural thing to occur.

"God's Omen," Glenn whispered to himself. "Maybe there's a clue in its history?"

In the eighteen years of God's Omen, there have been sixteen previous patches after the first release. This one was the newest one, the latest, the eighteenth. Maybe the name of the patch was a clue to what would happen.

While the game did gather over a billion players worldwide, it wasn't always like this. In the first launch, there were only a hundred players that registered, but only half of those were active. Glenn and his previous team was part of those.

It wasn't until three months later that the developers who released God's Omen was sponsored by a major company that the number of players grew. The second patch gained them one hundred thousand number of players and the numbers grew from there.

Several leagues and tournaments had been organized by God's Omen, their sponsorships pouring left and right, investment stocks rising to the roof as the years pass by.

Glenn was now even more confused. Why was he in this account? His overall appearance changed to match the one he created in the too. From a tall, slender man with a buzzcut hair, be was now a buffed man with medium length hair and was wearing glasses, aka the Krimxon Prinxe.

This was the account that Glenn's team fought over, the one where it seemed like he cheated because of his incredible versatility. It can deal damage as well as heal, something that wasn't natural in the rules of most games.

His skills provided ridiculous heals, but one of them gave him the power to switch from heal to damage. When Glenn wanted to heal, just as his role suggests, his teammates wanted him to be a damage dealer. The six of them did not meet the same ground, resulting in their disbandment and for Glenn to retire and quit the game entirely.

He wasn't sure where his former teammates were currently, but he knows that they were all capable of taking care of themselves. Everyone was an adult, and they have to act like one.

After a couple of minutes, they finally arrived at the town that the old man mentioned. A big town that was only a shy smaller to a city. The name of the town was Galaron.

After hearing the name of the town, Glenn knew the equivalent of this to the game world. In the game world, the players were divided into seven regions which represented all the continents with Asia being split in half, North and Southeast.

These seven regions were servers and each server does not require a player to restart their account, but it had to change the overall map. Along these servers were channels, and the channels had rooms in them. The rooms were the towns.

From the game perspective, the rooms was just a list of towns. You click on a room, and it will send you to a town. Each town had different supplies, quests, and even beasts in their area.

If a player wanders too far from a town, they will be sent to another town or in the game mode, they would have to switch to another room.

The word for "room" was misleading to even Glenn when he first started out because it was an entire town when he entered. He even suggested changing the names for this, but the developers kindly declined his proposal and said that they have everything planned from the start.

"So, this is what they meant," Glenn deadpanned.

"Welcome, new Adventurers!" a woman with thin pieces of garments cheered. The male Adventurers watched in awe as the woman danced with her plump chest bouncing around. "Welcome to Galaron. Please feel free to ask the merchants in the market for quests. You can also find the bulletin board for other quests or join a guild for more benefits!"

In front of the gate every time a player would enter a newbie room, a female NPC would greet them wearing the exact clothing this woman was wearing right now. The beginners would always come to the gate and watch these women, even Glenn was guilty of doing it.

Up, down, up, down. No one was listening to her. The woman stopped dancing and crossed her arms iver her chest, making the men focus even more.

"Stop it, Celine," a rather strong and intimidating female walk up to the woman. This one was wearing a full armor with crystals decorated all over her body. "I am Chief Marissa Grandhog. I rule the security in this village."

A chief, or the head of the knights, was also an NPC that had duties to protect their room, or town. Mobs and hostile creatures would often come for the towns to eat humans so the knights would protect them.

There wasn't any instances for the knights to be in action in God's Omen. Most of these were shown off screen, or just mentioned by the quests. The only time a player could be a knight was to complete the sixth quest, when the group of bandits try to attack the town.

"You shall behave in my town," Melissa said sternly. "You're all heroes sent by the heavens to defeat the evil of this world, but in my town, you're nothing but regular humans."

Glenn wondered why Melissa addressed them as such. This was just like the speech of the chief in the game. The Adventurers were sent by the heavens to defeat the evil that try to take their freedom away.

It was then that he realized that the old man was the only person who knows what's going on. He never mentioned anything else in the game except for them being sent there to defeat the evil.

And since majority of the humans that were sent didn't have any recollection of the game, they think of this differently. Glenn was now understanding more and more about the new world that they were in.

But if he has to go back to their world, he must go through the process of this world. He must defeat the evil they spoke of, and this would start after he receives his first quest.

"I'm ready," Glenn breathed out, making everyone look at him.

"Ready for what?" Melissa quirked her brow up. "Are you talking to yourself?"

"Sorry, sorry," Glenn cleared his throat and spoke in his head. "Dang I gotta keep all the thoughts to my head."
