54 Chapter 54: Meeting Blade
The plane arrived in Prague a few hours after he texted Phil Coulson.
"I need to find out whether Blade has met Whistler or not. " Kai mutters. Whistler has been captured by the vampires before and Blade had been searching everywhere for him. If he still hasn't met Whistler, it'll be hard to deal with the mutant issue.
"Are you going to go empty-handed?" Yelena asks. Kai doesn't have any luggage, weapon, or anything else other than the suit he is wearing right now.
"Someone is going to send it to me later on." Kai tries to be mysterious, but then he realizes. "Wait, you know that someone. Ryan. Ryan will send me some stuff later on."
Yelena just smiles at him. "Be safe." It is really interesting for her to watch the fallen angel's behavior.
In New York, Ryan is doing Man-in-the-Chair support, hacking into every security camera in the city, trying to catch Blade's tail.
It took a while for him to find it. "It seems like Blade already meet vampire overload Eli Damaskinos and is leading the BloodPack"
That means Whistler is already saved. He just doesn't know if the old man could fight the transformation to become a vampire. "I should get the mixture from Blade later on." The drug compound that can be used to fight the transformation.
The Blood Pack is a special team under the overlord. They were first created to battle Blade in the first place, but the mutant situation led them to be under Blade instead.
"Their next target will be the House of Pain in Romania," Ryan said telepathically to Kai.
Kai summoned a modified motorcycle from his inventory ring. *Vroom* He presses the throttle a few times. He rides a few meters before he stops abruptly. "Safety first", He took out a helmet and wore it before he rode to the place.
He is carrying a black duffel bag on his back. It is full of UV bombs, stakes, silver bullets and ammunition, and a long sword that Ryan makes overnight.
"I can use the storage ring, but it'll look weird if I pull ammunition out of nowhere. I at least need to seem like a Vampire Hunter to get Blade's trust."

Eric Brooks a.k.a Blade is leading the BloodPack, a team of vampire elite that is created to kill him in the first place. It consisted of Nyssa, Asad, Reinhardt, Priest, Snowman, Chupa, Verlaine, and her lover LightHammer.
" We need to get deeper, into the place where vampires get together." Blade said to the group of vampires.
He knows that his teammates may betray him at any time. And he also didn't trust them. He wanted to find out more about vampires with this cooperation so that he can hunt them more easily after.
Whistler is suspicious about the formation of the vampire team. And he didn't get along with them at all. After all, he spent his entire adult life fighting these creatures.
They go to the House of Pain, a club for the vampires. Loud music is playing in the club. Tattoos, drugs, fresh blood, anything that can make a vampire high is there. Blade is disgusted with it, but he still needed to find the mutant vampire as they pose a bigger threat now.
Blood Pack split up to find traces of mutants in the club. At the same time, Kai arrives at the place. He sees Whistler providing support on the rooftop during the rain. "I guess Scud is in the van."
*Bang bang* He hears gunshots coming from inside the club. "Let's see, Blade may not be killing these bastards right now, but not me". Removing his helmet and putting on sunglasses, Kai shoots the vampires that are coming out of the club. His gun is equipped with a silencer.
His point of view is assisted with Artificial Intelligence assistance. Even at night, he can see it all clearly.

Many of the escaping vampires fell to his bullets. His chaos is undetected as the inside of the club is even more chaotic right now.
He makes sure to check if they have other assets or storage units. Vampires tend to collect jewelry and art. The longer they live, the more lavish their lifestyle. Now it's all going to Kai's pocket.
After killing 100 or so vampires, his account has an additional 10 million dollars. "Too bad this is the lowest rank of the vampires. I needed to find the higher ones. That's the fat sheep I've been looking for."

Inside the club, Blade is confronting Jared Nomak, the mutants progenitor, who is taking Nyssa as a hostage and is trying to talk with him.

Nomak runs away, while Blade follows him. In a narrow wooden pathway 5 meters above the ground that was used as construction assistance, they battle it out. Guns don't work. His sword also doesn't work. He uses his last resort, the item that kills the previous Blood God.
When fighting Nomak, Blade realizes that even EDTA, a coagulant that can explode a Vampire from the inside, is useless against the mutant breed. 'The Reaper is almost indestructible' His eyes widened behind the sunglasses.
Outside the club, Scud is besieged by 4 mutant breeds that are attacking his modified armored truck. He finally kills them using a UV lamp that is attached to the car. "UV light can kill them, do you hear me?", he said to the earpiece.
In this attack, Priest is bitten and turned into a mutant vampire. His friend had to put him down. Lighthammer is bitten but hides it. "Like every generic zombie movie" Kai, who is monitoring, smirks.
Reinhardt and Chupa have killed one mutant together using a UV flashlight attached to the rifles. Verlaine kills the one who attacked Lighthammer at the time. "How she couldn't see that her boyfriend was bitten is astonishing."
After the battle, Blade has a suspicion of Nyssa, as Nomak only didn't attack her, compared to other vampires. "I wonder why he didn't kill you when he had the chance?" Blade said coldly. Nyssa's pupils shiver, but even she didn't know the cause.
Blade didn't manage to kill Nomak as daylight came. Scud complained to the Blade about how Whistler left his post. "I told you the old man couldn't be trusted!"
"Why did you leave?" Blade asks the old man.
"I fought one of them, and I followed them here," Whistler explains himself and leads them someplace. They see a mutant vampire trapped at the sewer entrance. His arm is caught by the metal door.
"He's been biting his arm to get out, but now he's becoming weaker," Nyssa said while observing the mutant.
"The mutant regeneration power becomes their bane as their metabolism is too high, making them digest themselves instead." A voice said from behind the group of vampires, and Blade's team, making them alert and pointing their weapons to the source of the voice.
They see a man in his 30s, wearing a black suit, carrying a long sword and double gun inlaid with silver runes, and wearing sunglasses.
"Who are you?" Nyssa askes. He feels like a human, but not fully. Kai is wearing an anti-recognition spell at the time, making the vampires confused. 'Is it one of the humans? Or one of us?'
"Hello there, which one of you is... Whiskers?" Kai takes out a piece of paper and tries to read the name. His action of not fearing the weapons makes the group realize that he's not one to mess with. 'Or he's just plain crazy.' Blade thought.
"It's Whistler." The old man stepped forward. Kai nodded and said to the old man. "I'm joining your group for a while, the mutants have been spotted in New York, so I'm here to find the source with you."
These people are suspicious of him, but Kai flashes the Coulson's shield name card that he left at his house, making Whistler understand the situation." He's okay" he whispers to Blade.
Together, they bring the dead mutant body to Blade's hideout. They don't need to kill it, they just need to wait for it to die on its own.
Reinhardt is angry at the new humans that try to join their group. He barely tolerated Whistler, now another one is joining them? In the secret base, the vampire that has the face of a caveman tries to intimidate Kai.
"Do you have what.."
" Ooga, Ooga Booga? " Kai mimics him at the same time the cavemen vampire tries to speak. Reinhardt is pissed. He attacked by launching his fist at the menace's face.
Kai intercepts his arm and breaks his elbow violently. Some bones are seen coming out from the broken arm. " Arrgh" Unconsciously, the prideful vampire let out a scream.
Chupa followed and tried to claw at Kai, but Kai broke his nose and knees. He is standing at the center between the two crippled vampires. "Anyone else?" The group is stunned.
'A human, but he is faster than a vampire. Is he a super-soldier?' Whistler thought."Anyway, this is a good thing for humankind." He mutters in a low voice no one could hear.
After the incident, people don't mess with Kai. Nyssa is doing an autopsy on the dead body. "Their fang can inject paralysis agent to their prey, their heart is encased in sturdy bones, making it impossible to put a stake through it"
She dropped a drop of blood on the creature's stomach. *Shrieks* the stomach tries to devour the blood. Scud fell over because of fright. Blade said to him "Pu**y"
"Even if the brain is dead, the body is trying to feed," Kai said, cutting Nyssa off. She is a little dissatisfied because she couldn't do the ending. She didn't reject Kai as she feels like they are in this together, both Vampire and Man. 'Even if Vampire is more superior than man', she thought.
Blade said, "When daybreak comes, we are going to fight". The vampire faction is dissatisfied. "It will weaken us".
Blade doesn't give a shit and says "But it'll also weaken them."
Kai is over there admiring the edgy style. "Chills, literal chills", he pointed to the goosebumps on his hand. Whistler is next to him. "What, are you a fanboy or something?"
Kai turned to the old man and said seriously. "Yes. I would appreciate an autograph... Or a picture together.
Secretly, Reinhardt is reporting everything he saw to Overlord Eli Damaskinos.
"It seems that Shield has caught on. We need to get Blade as soon as possible. When you are fighting in the sewer, make sure that the agent is… dead"
The Overlord gives the order. Nomak is his creation, and his son in the first place. He is experimenting to create a new breed of vampires.
The one who isn't afraid of sunlight and other vampire weaknesses. He believes Blade's DNA holds the key to vampire evolution. He won't hesitate to sacrifice anyone, even his daughter Nyssa, to achieve his goals.

Whistler and Scud are making a UV bomb grenade, and also a big version of the UV bomb. It has an offset time of 10 seconds.
Kai who is watching said to himself. 'Mine has an immediate effect, but I shouldn't discourage these guys.' Scud had been acting suspiciously, which Kai purposely ignored.
Blade is seeing Kai not doing anything important. He goes and talks to the guy. "You said that the mutants are in New York?"
Kai who is fiddling with some wires replied "Yes, 30-40 mutants. I'm guessing it originated here in Europe, as the guy said he knows Nomak."
His eyes widened behind the sunglasses. "Is there anyone besides Nomak who can talk?"
"Yes, said he turned a week ago."
Blade was told that Nomak only exists 3 days ago. "If that was true, it means that we are facing thousands of these crazy creatures."
He told Kai about Eli Damaskinos. He realizes that many details aren't true. 'Then they are hiding something from me.'
Blade is looking at the vampire team with suspicion. He didn't know why, but Kai feels more trustworthy than those guys. He didn't even suspect that Kai is a vampire familiar.
Kai said, "I can get back up. But it's not likely they'll fight together with the vampire team".
Scud intervened. "No need for backup. With our invention, all those motherf*cker is dead!"
He shows up with a crate filled with UV bombs. 'A backup is bad for Master Eli to achieve his ambition, so I need to snip the idea in the bud, Scud thought in his heart. He has another identity, that is Eli Damaskinos' vampire familiar.
The team is now ready for the raid. Nyssa comes out with a bottle of perfume. "These are the mutant pheromones. It'll attract the mutants to you."
They come out with a plan to search for the mutants. Reinhardt, Chupa, and Whistler are one team. Blade, Nyssa, and Asad are one team. Snowman, Verlaine, Lighthammer, and Kai are one team. Scud didn't follow them, as he said " I'm a lover, not a fighter "
" Coulson, are you okay with this arrangement? " Nyssa asked.
Kai already knows that Reinhart ordered his team member to kill him in the sewer. But that didn't worry him one bit. "I'm okay, let's go"
'Why am I called Coulson? I guess the name card huh. I forget I didn't tell them my name. It didn't matter now. '
The ragtag group comes to the place where Whistler found the dying mutant. To the entrance to the sewer.
"Are you guys ready? " Blade asks. His question is directed to Whistler and Kai. He didn't care about the vampires, except for Nyssa, maybe.
*Click-clack* *Schwing* The group is ready with their guys and swords. "All set"
Kai approaches Blade before they go in. He took out a smartphone and snapped a picture of them together. Eric Brooke is dumbfounded. Kai notices and says "A fan asks me to take it."
Splitting up in the tunnels, Kai is following his team members from behind. They walk silently for a few minutes, with only the earpiece chiming in once in a while.
The group is silent. Kai could only hear the sound of water dripping. When they are far enough, he says something to the group.
"Should we do this now, or should we wait until we find the mutants?"
Kai's words make the group stop in their tracks.
Verlaine, the short redhead girl smiles and says eerily, "You shouldn't have gotten involved, now you're going to die by my hand."
Snowman, the silent Asian that wields a sword and wears eyeliner, is in a combat stance.
"You know, I like you in 'IP Man' " Kai teased Snowman.
Lighthammer, the 2-meter tall bald vampire that carries a hammer, also is in a combat stance.
Instantly, the girl closes the distance. Verlaine took the lead to fight the human, but Lighthammer ambushed Snowman instead.
"What are you doing my love?" Verlaine yells to his idiotic lover. . Then she sees what's happening. Her eyes widened.
Lighthammer is… eating his friend. "Grrr" He's now.. already a mutant.
Kai who is at the back said with a grin. "Now the battle finally starts."
