119 Chapter 119 : First Avenger ending.

"Wait, you're already healed?" Tony asked after he landed on Ryan's newly reconstructed balcony and came out of his Iron Suit. He leaves the suit outside the house. It's only been 3 minutes since he finishes the gathering with the other Avengers. Did Eclipse finish healing a lethal injury at that time?

Tony saw the scars on Ryan's body that proved he was shot 5 times on his torso, almost killing him. If Eclipse had not come, Tony thinks Ryan won't be able to live for long, even with the advanced medical equipment. His organs are badly damaged and it will be impossible to make a full restoration.

Tony approaches the living room in his Gucci suit where he sees the shirtless Ryan, lying on the sofa and Gwen who is tending to her fiance by wiping his body with wet clothes. Wringing the towel off excess water, she starts the third wiping session.

Ryan stared at her as she was doing it so enthusiastically. 'Stop wiping me Gwen,' Ryan controlled his eye to convey the thought to her, but she ignored it. A little spark is igniting inside her when she wipes the 'helpless' patient. She also thinks about wearing a nurse outfit while doing so.

Wiping around the scars on Ryan's healed body, she is playfully brushing her finger on the place cleaned. From his chest to his 8-pack, taut abdomen area, she is gently caring for him as they need to show that Ryan is still weak, even after healing.

The scheming duo is preparing to trick Tony, so that Ryan won't need to return to work. They want to spend 6 months on a vacation together. If Ryan or Gwen starts to do work, they won't be able to go until after the work is completed as their personality won't let them leave the work unfinished.

"Hey, Tony. Thank you," Ryan said weakly. Gwen stopped after Tony entered the house. Ryan breathes a sigh of relief. Any more than he won't let Tony enter and lock himself with Gwen inside the bedroom.

The unknowing old man felt like a burden had been dropped from his shoulder. Immense relief flooded his chest, as colors were returned to his friend's face.

"That's good. But don't thank me. Did Marduk already go home? Did he say anything to you?" Tony said as he sat next to Ryan on the sofa.

"Nothing important. He told me that I will be weak for 3 months or so. But hey, at least I won't die now," Ryan said with a chuckle.

Tony smiles in amusement. Ryan is pretty surprised that Tony didn't claim any credit for him getting healthy again. Instead, he made sure Ryan got a checkup from MediQuick.

"Good. Now that you're healed, there are many things I want to talk to you about," Tony said in an angry tone. He is pretty pissed that Ryan didn't ask for help even when he is besieged. Ryan couldn't move from the apartment as it is the command center, he gets it. What he doesn't get is why Ryan doesn't let anyone help him. He could have controlled Baymax or asked Kai or him to swing by, but he didn't.

"Wait, you're mad at me? What about when the nuke came and you want to handle it yourself? How is my action any different?" Ryan said in disbelief.

Both of the earth's geniuses start to argue instead. Gwen facepalm when she heard about their argument from afar. They fight like children, insulting the other ones to convey their points. Until Tony got a text message from Pepper.

"I don't care what you say, from now on, you're an Avenger. With me and the rest of the team. No discussion. If I leave you alone then you will kill yourself again," Tony said decisively before he take out his phone to check.

[Pepper: We need to talk.]

"Hmm, that's weird," Tony said as he read the text message.

"Did you get fired from the Avengers? I knew it would only be a matter of time," Ryan said sarcastically. Like hell, he would become one of the team.

In Tony's mansion in Malibu. Pepper is waiting there instead of the New York Stark Tower as the tower is damaged during the battle.

Wearing a one-piece floral dress, and flats instead of high heels, her heart is restless when she found out the cause of her sickness. Waiting patiently on the sofa, a big, white figure walked in a small step toward her.

"Baymax, do you think… this is the right decision. To tell Tony? He isn't the most mature guy for me to depend on," Pepper asked the squishy, marshmallow robot without his armor.

[You'll never know if it is the right choice. If you don't ask.] Baymax replied.

" That's true. Thank you Baymax. I am satisfied with my care, " Pepper said. Baymax walked to his charging area and deactivates itself.

"Let's hope this goes well then," Pepper breathes in deeply to calm herself. She put her hand on the lower part of her abdomen, remembering the day Tony brought back a wine bottle he stole from Ryan's house that they shared. She knows that Tony didn't remember that night as he is too drunk. But she did, and now, she is the one who has to remind him of it.

Bruce Banner arrived at his girlfriend's apartment. Without any explanation, Betty Ross applied for 3 days' leave from the company.

They are laying side by side on the bed, breathing heavily and hair unkempt. The silk blanket is the only thread on top of their body.

"Wait…is 'it' safe? Have you checked?" Betty asked as they finished their first session.

"I've checked before. It is safe," Banner said, knowing what Betty is talking about. He too is afraid that his genetic material will be radioactive and damaging to his partner. Luckily, he had checked it before this.

Betty smiles and crawled on top of Bruce, and kisses his neck.

" I still think we should use some protection," Bruce said, a little worried.

"I have waited 5 years for this. There is no way you're going to ruin this for me," Betty said to Bruce as she moves her head to his lower part.

They won't get out of bed for 3 days, just ravishing each other in an animalistic, sweaty, mating session. This was even a time when Bruce thinks that Betty is scarier than the Hulk during these sessions. But he has no complaint.

Arriving at Kai's place, Natasha strides hurriedly to his house. After going up the stairs and knocking heavily on Kai's door, she becomes worried as there isn't any answer even after she is knocking for a while.

'Did something happen to him?' Natasha becomes restless. Her eyes shake and her breathing becomes quicker. She holds the door handle to break into the house and she founds out that the door is unlocked.

Quickly, she opened the door and enters the apartment. She walks two steps inside the house. Suddenly, a wet rodent-like small child is flying toward her. She grabs Doreen who has wet hair and a towel around her body in mid-air.

"Ahh, Natasha. Thank you for capturing the rascal," Kai walks out of the bathroom with wet clothes and some soap bubbles on his hand as he is giving Doreen a bubble bath. The little girl got too excited after the bath and starts to jump around the house before Kai could finish drying her hair.

"Doreen, don't jump like that when you're still wet. You can slip," Kai said in a loving tone as he grabs Doreen from Natasha and starts to dry her hair with another towel.

Natasha smiles softly as she looks at Kai's father's demeanor.

'I won't regret my choice,' She thought as she looked at the scene. Kai asked her to wait for a while as he is arranging some clothes for the child. Kai finished up with Doreen and tell her to take a nap.

"But I am not tired,' Doreen whines as she rubs her eyes.

" I will count to 5. 5…4…3…." Kai said sternly.

" Okay-okay I'm going," Doreen jumped on the sofa and lie down. In only seconds, she went off to dreamland.

"Where is Skye?" Natasha asked before she get to the topic. She grabs the potion from her bag and holds it in her hand. She and Kai are sitting at the dinner table as Doreen is sleeping on the couch.

"I asked her to pick up a new bed for Doreen and some clothes. She and the other girls are questioning me non-stop so I have to kick her out of the house," Kai said nonchalantly. Ava, Jessica, and Trish are already back from the short vacation. He was bombarded with questions and was scolded for not including them in the fight.

"Here, drink this," Natasha said to Kai suddenly. There isn't much to explain about the potion as she is afraid he will reject it once he knows what it is. She handed the glowing orange potion bottle to Kai.

Shield and Kai's relationship had cracked after the New York War. It will be very difficult to fix the trust that has been broken by Shield. She is afraid that Kai will reject her as she is an agent of Shield, but Kai's kindness in accepting her is making her feel incredibly guilty instead.

Her life, her entire profession, is spying and assassination. If she didn't know Kai beforehand, she will be positioned to study more about Kai and find ways to control him. His weaknesses, his relationship, his desire, all of it.

She couldn't be mad at Shield for doing what they are doing. And she also couldn't ask Kai not to get mad at Shield's action. A hypocritical life. That is the life she is having right now.

Her heart is beating quickly as Kai's hand is reaching for the bottle.

'What is this?' 'Why did you give this to me?'

Natasha anticipated many questions from Kai. However, her eyes widened as Kai down the entire bottle in just one gulp, without saying anything.

"Uhh, it tasted weird," Kai said as he scrunched his face.

"You… why… did you drink it so easily. It could be poison," Natasha is a bit angry. She but she didn't know why she is angry.

"Nah, it won't be poison," Kai said dismissively.

"And HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" Natasha asked, agitated.

Kai looked into her eyes and says, "Well. It comes from you."

Natasha is stunned and speechless. She now knows why she is angry. It's because Kai trusted her unconditionally, even when she doesn't deserve it.

The duo sits there silently for a while, staring at each other. Natasha is inching closer and closer to Kai's face, and he too is doing the same thing.

They can feel each other's breath on their face as they drew closer. They tilted their head, and their lips are an inch away from one another.

*Ding* Natasha's phone chimes in, breaking the mood between them.

Natasha blinked her eyes twice and pull away from Kai before they managed to kiss.

"It's Fury. He is calling me in," Natasha said as she check the phone. She hates that she is feeling a little relieved as the message come before she falls completely into the prospect of an ordinary life with the ones she loves.

She stands up and is walking toward the door. A part of her wants Kai to stop her, but he didn't. Instead, he asked her a question.

"You'll come back, right?"

"I am not sure yet," Natasha replied.

She is opening the door to go away from the apartment. Suddenly, the door is pushed to close again by the man standing behind her.

Natasha turns around to see Kai holding his hand against the door, and trapping her inside his arm.

He didn't say anything, instead, he went for the kiss that was denied earlier by the bald man.

Natasha widened her eyes as Kai is the one who initiated it. She stops resisting her feeling and starts to kiss him back. It was a long and passionate kiss between the two of them. They finally broke the kiss as they ran out of breath.

"I'll ask again. You'll come back. Right?" Kai said to Natasha ask he stares into her glistening eyes.

"Yes. I will. Definitely," Natasha said with a slight happy tone in her voice.

The Avengers have gone their seperate ways. Some, are incredibly far away. But when the world needs them, they will stand together once more to protect it.

And it won't take long for them to be needed again.

After some time passes. In a hidden Hydra base.

Alexander Pierce is looking at the data from the battle. The Avenger group and its supporter is too big of a threat for Hydra.

He contacted another Hydra's head, Gideon Malik, and starts planning to handle the threat.

"Aldritch Killian wants to handle Stark by himself," Gideon told Pierce.

"Let him do it. Just wait for my timing," Pierce said. He already struck a deal with Baron Strucker to help him if he needed. He exchanged the mind-controlling scepter to get materials to hasten the process of building the insight helicarrier.

The old Hydra head takes the file of the most dangerous individual that must be taken out with the utmost priority. Pictures of a man with an eye patch and wearing a trench coat is inside the file that Pierce is reading.

"First, we must take total control of Shield," Pierce said with a glint of ruthlessness in his eyes. Soon, the hidden weapons that he stored in the Siberian Hydra base will be activated once more.

In an unknown crypt somewhere in the middle east.

A team of shady people with gray skin and red eyes is walking toward the destination they have been searching desperately for.

"This is it," The vampire goon said.

"We found him," Another vampire contacted their master using his phone, the one who asked them to search for the seal's whereabouts.

"Talos, we found the legend," The vampire says again when the call is silent even after he reported it.

"G-good. This time, we can end the hateful man. The daywalker," Danica Talos said on the other side of the call. She didn't know if his resurrection is the correct decision, but right now, in the war against humans, the vampires are losing.

She gives the order to wait for her before they opened up the seal. The seal contains the ancestors of all vampires, the abominable bloodsucker, Dracula.

In New York Sanctum building. Wong is carrying a big, chainsaw sword with him as he crosses the portal from Kamar-Taj.

He has forgotten to return the sword that had fallen from Ryan's hand during the battle with D'Spayre.

As he is taking a taxi to go toward Ryan's apartment, he remembers the conversation he has with the ancient one in the Kamar-Taj realm.

"Master, why didn't you help him? He will be poisoned from the Fear Lord curse," Wongs asked the Ancient One respectfully, but with a slight worry in his voice.

"He needs to handle it himself, to be stronger than he is right now," Ancient One replied calmly. Wong nodded after he heard the Ancient One vague answer.

She knows that deep inside, Wong is mad at her. She too is mad at herself. But it is the only way.

She saw something terrifying in Ryan's future, and she couldn't offer her help at that time. He will have to face the enemy alone, in another dimension, or at another time. The future she saw is ever-changing, as the force of the enemy's strength could interfere with time.

She saw a woman in a crimson dress, with an M-shaped crown on top of red hair, and corruption on her fingers, conquering multiple universes.

The legends are true. The Scarlet Witch is coming. Here, to their universe. Her aim is unknown, but the Ancient One has to prepare for her coming.

Side story 12: Alt. Battle- Dawn of the Pet Avengers.

During the Chitauri Invasion. Inside Knight Shelter.

Phineas and Ferb are among the children getting sanctuary inside the shelter. Their school is invited to a field trip today by Ryan's order.

Phineas is trying to see the battle, while Ferb is looking around anxiously.

"Vanessa… is not here," Ferb ran to tell the officials there.

Phineas is turning back to see Ferb is gone. He looks around the massive crowd to search.

"Where did he go? And where did Perry go?"

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz. She has long brown hair and is wearing a black outfit. The daughter of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is trapped inside a car on the battlefront. Gliders are flying on top of the car, making her stay as low as she can.

Her necklace, which is a gift from her father, is blinking as if it is responding to her anxiety. Behind her, two small children are separated from their mother.

"Shush, I will get you out of here. I promise," Vanessa comforted the crying children. She holds the pair of 3 years old and 4 years old children into her arms while glancing at the sky to make sure the line is clear for her to get to safety.

In the air a few streets over, Perry is using a glider to fly into the battle. The chitauri shoots at his triangle gliders, making him fall. But he didn't fall in vain. He unclasped his glider and let it fly toward the chitauri gliders, crashing into them.

An explosion occurs as the gliders are crashing. Perry landed on top of a building. He rolls a few times before the inertia stops. Standing upright, Perry holds a circular locator in his (hand?)(Paw?) hand. The locator is blinking, showing him the coordinate of a person in distress a couple of streets away.

Perry looked at the busy sky solemnly. This might be his most dangerous mission yet.

An order comes for him during the battle. Doofenshmirtz has been seen breaching the perimeter and entering the battle. The general feared what the mad scientist would do if he got alien tech.

Perry Flashback:

Doofenshmirtz is fighting the chitauri troops and is attacked from all directions. Suddenly, the alien stopped. The mad scientist and the alien are looking at the side, where they heard a rumbling sound coming.

Doofenshmirtz and the chitauri: a platypus?

The platypus stands upright like a bipedal creature and takes out a brown fedora from his back. He wears it on his head as he confronts Doofenshmirtz.

Doofenshmirtz and the chitauri:PERRY THE PLATYPUS?!!!

Perry jumps acrobatically toward the chitauri shooting at Doofenshmirtz. He was too late. Doofenshmirtz is shot at his chest and falls to his back, with his left hand covering the wound.

Making easy work of the three-person troops, Perry crouches down next to the scientist who can barely open his eyes. He checks the chest, there is no wound as the rule of a cartoonist universe won't allow it, but Doofenshmirtz is injured.

"Perry (cough) the platypus. You came…" Doofenshmirtz said in difficulty to Perry who was beside him, holding him slated 45 degrees from the ground.

Perry nods to Doofenshmirtz. The mad scientist takes out the circular locator and puts it in Perry's hand.

"All of these years…you have never failed to stop…me, (Cough heavily). So please, Perry the platypus. Don't fail. Please, save my…daughter."

Doofenshmirtz's eyes lost their focus. He falls unconscious after entrusting the matter to Perry.

If there is anything else Doofenshmirtz wants more than to make the world respect him, it is to tell his daughter he loves her one last time before he dies (faints). Perry grips the locator tightly, knowing that the only reason Doofenshmirtz enters the battlefield is that he wants to save his daughter.

"Krrr Krrr (Don't worry. I won't.) The platypus covers up Doofenshmirtz with an industrial cement bag and leaves his body near a building under construction.

Looking at the locator, he will arrive at the signal source after he crossed at least 20 streets. Perry tipped his fedora and started his most dangerous mission since he was an agent.

The god of thunder, Thor is fighting the chitauri gliders in mid-air. He blocked the energy blast aimed at him with his hammer.

"HA HA, your might is nothing compared to the mighty Mjolnir and the God of Thunder!" Thor yelled excitedly as he spun the Mjolnir and released it in the direction of the gliders, hammering them in a straight line.

Mjolnir is a thousand years old artifact. Previously used by Hela at her young age, Thor found the hammer inside Odin's vault at his young age, thus proving himself worthy.

Although Mjolnir seemed fine, the blast from before had caused a 2-centimeter splinter to break from the hammer's handle. It falls from the sky into an alley in New York.

Inside the alley, a small, grey frog, barely 10 centimeters long is looking at the sky with concern. Simon Waterson. He used to be human until he was cursed by a fortune teller because he didn't have any money to pay the witch.

As a frog, he had forgotten who his previous self was. However, it didn't change him on the inside. He will always help other people, for example, by distracting a mugger by jumping on top of his face and peeing on it while the victim runs away, or letting lost children chase him until he leads them into a police station or another adult that can take care of them.

Right now, he is worried because the pair of children he led to a teenager amidst the battle is seemingly trapped on the battlefield.

*Bonk* A small splinter falls onto the frog's head. He ignored it as it did not injure him. He shakes his slippery body to remove the dust falling on him. As he did that, the splinter slid into his hand.

"Kai, some children are missing from the school field trip. Can you find them?" Ryan asked Kai telepathically.

"I am a little busy at the moment," Kai said as he slashed the head of 10 chitauri troops that were breaching the perimeter.

"They are near X street," Ryan said.

"Wait. I know someone close by that can help," Kai said. He then flew to the sky, and with a roar, he screamed, "Go Play!"

A white cat in an alley in Hell's Kitchen heard the order. "Meow, (He didn't have to scream.)"

The cat named Felicia Hardy changes its appearance to a black cat and takes her stash of equipment from Kai's hidden place across New York. Jumping from building to building, she is heading to the place where the children are trapped

The Chitauri finds out about the children trapped inside the car from above. A signal was sent from the gliders to the ground troops as they had flown over the position. It will take them a minute to get back and kill the children. By Thanos's order, they did not discriminate in culling humans.

Vanessa is anxious. The ground troops are coming to her position. She tries to open the door and get out with the pair of small children she found chasing a frog, but the door knob is jammed.

"Why now?" Vanessa said. She tries to open all the doors, but the car seems to be locking her in.

The army shoots at the car from afar, making her duck down with the children.

"Dad…help," Vannesa let out something she didn't think she would say. The ground troops are shooting relentlessly at the car. Broken glasses fall into her hair and the children's head. Even though she is scared, she is still protecting the children.

Suddenly, the shooting stops. She peeks outside from the broken windows to see what is going on. There, she saw it. A small, blue figure with a brown fedora is jumping on the chitauri's head, causing internal chaos among the ground troops.

"Perry the Platypus? Why is he here?" Vanessa asked. The agent is the enemy of her father. So why is he…saving her?

Stealing the gun of the chitauri, Perry the Platypus is fighting the troops one by one. He jumped and kicked and punched and shot, but the army was still advancing toward Doofenshmirtz's daughter.

The army is 20 meters away to get to the car. Perry is anxious.

Right at that moment, a black streak jumped from a building and saw the chitauri sieging the car. She jumped toward the Chitauri and throws multiple fish bone bombs at them.

She landed amidst the explosion and stood with her four feet next to Perry.

"Nyaaa (You take left, I take right)" Felicia said to Perry.

"Krr Krr (Who are you?)" Perry asked.

"Nya nya Nya. (I am Vengeance)" Felicia sprinted toward the Chitauri army and hit them with her squishy paw. *Bam*

Perry swipes the leg of the Chitauri and shoots at the others.

Vanessa and the children are looking excitedly at the weird battle. Suddenly, Vanessa hears a timer sound near the car door. She sees a fishbone stuck at the car lock and is opening the door!

"We're free!" She said to the children. She holds the children in her arm and is getting away from the battle.

Up in the sky, the Chitauri gliders are returning to the pet battlefield. They are targeting the children!

"Nyaa (Watch out)" Felicia meowed and is going to protect them with Perry. Alas, they are too late.

The sky grumbles as a thunderous sound is heard. The Chitauri glider shoots at the children with the plasma cannon, with enough strength to blast them apart.

Vanessa crouches and hugs the small children inside her arm. The blast is coming toward her back.

Suddenly, a lighting strike illuminates the sky. The energy blast is blocked by a small, 2-centimeter-long Mjolnir!

[ Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor]

Standing mid-air in the middle of the chitauri gliders and the children, the one and only, frog of thunder, THROG is here!

With a red cape on his back, armor on his body, and a small helmet on his head, Throg swings Mjolnir toward the chitauri gliders.

"Krr Krr (He with you)?"

"Nyaa? (I thought she is with you?)"

"I came to help," Throg says to the pets. Unlike the others, he can speak like a human.

(Cue Avenger Theme Song)

"Krr Krr (That's all I need to hear)" Perry said as he helped Throg to fight the gliders. Felicia is killing the chitauri on the ground. Perry is supporting the children in evacuating. Throg protects the sky.

Together, the super pets managed to bring the children to safety. A landspeeder driven by a member of the knight army is picking up the refuge from the battle. Ryan had sent them to Felicia's position.

Entering the landspeeder, Vanessa turned to thank the pets. However, they are no longer there.

Running across the streets of Manhattan, Felicia and Perry are discussing what to do next. There are still some civilians scattered around the area. Throg is flying next to them, waiting for the next target.

The unsung hero of the chitauri invasion will always be there, looking, protecting, and punishing those who did evil. They are not just pets, nor are they normal animals. They are Pet Avengers!

After the battle :

"Nyaa (I want more tuna)" A lazy cat is demanding food from Kai.

"No, you will get fat," Kai replied.

Felicia stares at the human. "Nya ( Tell me)" She meowed seriously.

"Nyaaa ( Do you bleed?)"

"What?" Kai is in disbelief.

"Nyaa ( You will)" Felicia declared.
