108 Chapter 108: New York War (Part 1)

"Mr. President, time...seems to be against us," Ryan said solemnly as his drone captured the image of the device on top of Stark Industry. 

"Shield is not answering the call, Tony is missing, I am all you got," Ryan said to the solemn president. He is video calling the white house, talking to the Oval office. 

"Mr. Knight, this is an 'IF' situation. We still didn't know if there really existed an army!" a military general commented bitterly. 

"THEN SHOULD WE WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE HERE?" Ryan is mad about the stupidity of the generals there. He had shared everything with them, about Loki and what the Shield file is saying. 

They have lost contact with Shield 45 minutes ago in the middle of confirming the details. It was about that time the helicarrier was attacked.

The energy in the device is building up. Ryan had ordered Jarvis to cut the power, but the device is already self-sustaining. He can order Jarvis as Tony gave him some permission to use the A.I.

"It's too late now Mr. President," Ryan wanted to cut the call and get ready, but the President yelled at him. "WAIT!"

Ryan smiles before he cuts the call. He got what he needed.

The busy New York street is bustling with people from different walks of life. Some are starting their business, some are hurrying to go to work. It is only 9 in the morning. The day is just starting. 

*Ding* *Ding* *Ding* The chimes of the phones are heard at the same time.

Suddenly, the citizens got an alert on their phones. Some take out their phone from their pocket. Some already hold the phone in their hand. 

"What the f…" a random citizen commented. 

[ Alert: An attack is coming. Please head to the nearest shelter to take cover.]

[ Disaster Level: Demon]

The disaster app that Ryan launched when he brought the smartphone into the world had become one of the most trusted apps on the planet. Not only did Ryan show an attack, but a natural disaster, an incident such as an explosion, and so on. 

He had created a specialized team of people in the Knight Industry that worked together with the government on the matter. 

The disaster levels are split into different categories. 

[Wolf: Any potential threat that poses a danger to an unknown degree.

Tiger: Any threat to a large number of people.

Demon: Any threat to a city and its people.

Dragon: Any threat to multiple cities.

God: A threat endangering the survival of humanity in general]

The apps are showing the people directly to the nearest shelter by tracking their position in a time of an emergency.

"Go go go!" The police are following Ryan's evacuation order and steering the people into the subway, bomb shelter, and many more.

Loki saw the movement on the streets below. "So, Amora failed. Too bad," he said while smiling softly. It didn't matter anyway if they ran. When his army comes, there will be nowhere for them to escape. 

"Hurry up Kai," Ryan mumbles. The Avenger is late! The battle is almost starting.

"ALBUS, release the Brainbot to help the evacuation."

"Sir, there are only 250 Brainbots in New York at the moment, should I call the others?" ALBUS asks. There are other squadrons of brainbots spread out all over the country. 

"Put them on standby. How many Stark combat drones do we have?" Ryan said as he monitored 20 screens at the same time. 

"There are only 100 of them sir," ALBUS replied as he released the Brainbot. 

*Bowg* *Bowg* Red, Blue, and Purple bots are spread out into the city.

"Activate them all and place them near the shelter."

Right now, the entire city is moving by his order. The reporters are going crazy trying to figure out what happened and interrupting people who are evacuating. 

"These people will be blacklisted permanently from entering any of my events," Ryan said in dissatisfaction. His finger is running fast on the 5 keyboard projection. 

"Ryan, the police are ready. We can go at any time," George Stacy said in the video.

"Work together with the firemen and the Brainbots. Stations the police near the subway entrance...." Ryan explained many things to the police, the fireman, the first responder, and so on.

The National Guard and the Army are taking their sweet time to get there.

ALBUS is collaborating with Red Queen. They hacked into the city traffic light, gave orders to the policeman from Ryan, and more. Looters in time of an emergency will be dealt with by arresting them on the spot. 

The evacuation starts from the nearest area of the Stark Industry. The streets are quickly becoming deserted. 

*Clang clang* The ground circling the Knight Industry shakes. The sound of mechanical grinding is heard by the people who are told to evacuate there by the apps. Gwen looks outside the company campus building. 

"It started," she says softly amidst the chaotic environment of people whimpering. *Shua* A thick metal wall rises up from the ground, encircling the campus. An energy shield is added to the steel layer. The bright campus turns dark for a moment before the light turns on. 

The prototype disaster shelter that Ryan created is showing its might. Peter Parker and Ned Leeds, who are having a school field trip to the Knight Industry today, widened their mouths. 

"Ned, am I dreaming?" The 12-year-old Peter in a grey sweater and a red shirt with a pizza cartoon on it, asks.

Ned Leeds, who is dressed the same, turns to him and pinches his cheeks. 

"Ouch. What are you doing!" Peter yelled in a whisper while rubbing his sore spot. 

"What are you idiots doing?" Michelle Jones is staring at the duo in disbelief. Today, the entire class is here. Most of them are sitting quietly, following the teacher's orders. Some are sobbing, some are confused, and some are excited.

The floor can't quieten. The teachers are having a headache.

"Peter!" May, in an office suite, yelled as she ran to Peter and hugged him. She uses the company A.I. to search for her child.

The field trip is a sudden thing created by Ryan yesterday. All of the children in a 10-block radius are there.

The ones that have to work hard for Ryan's quim are the pretty Aunt who is hugging the nerdy boy. Now, she understands why he suddenly asks her to do that.  

"May, is Mr. Knight fighting?" Peter raises a question as he is still being hugged. May didn't answer as she didn't know what was going on. *Ding* Ryan called May from her smartwatch. She didn't realize it, but Peter did.

"May, Mr. Knight is calling!" Peter said urgently. May releases Peter and answers the call. She presses the smartwatch, and a tiny Ryan pops out from the holographic projection. 

"Aunt Cass, I need Hiro Hamada," Ryan said directly. He is on the call and he is contacting 20 others. If someone is in his house, they will pass out as there are 20, same-dressed Ryan, who is urgently working. 

"Did you make a wrong call?" Aunt May is confused. Who is Cass or Hiro?

"May. He calls me…Hiro Hamada. Mr. Knight, do you want me?" Peters said while being hesitant. 

"Yes Hiro, go to my office. There will be a computer there. I need your help with something," Ryan ordered. Peter can see his business as his hand is continuously typing on the keyboard. 

Peter nods and asks, "Only me?" 

"Ned can go too. The lady who had been staring at you from the back can also go. Call me when you get there."

Ryan cut the call. Peter and Ned are searching for who is staring at them. MJ said hurriedly, "I wasn't staring at you!"

Inside Gwen's office. There are 3 suites on a display model in front of her. Khan and Betty Ross are there inside the room with her. 

"Won't he be mad if I use his suit without permission?" Betty asks Gwen.

"He won't. When he created this one, he said only me or you can bring it to its full potential for now," Gwen said as she pointed to the miniature chemical lab the size of a purse. It has the periodic table of elements on its front that needs to be pressed to get a specific chemical ball. 

"Hmmm, it's….Pink…" Betty is a little reluctant to see the girlish suit that has the label -Honey Lemon- on it. 

"Why am I a monster? Huh? Tell me!!!" Khan is dissatisfied seeing her suit. It is a mascot of a monster that can spit out fire and jump high in the air. It is labeled -Fred-

The girls feel a little jealous when they see Ryan's care for Gwen. Her suit is imposing and pretty, like an Angel. Gwen standing in front of the Mercy suit. 

Outside the shelter. A team of 20, carefully picked security detail, is in a silvery-black exoskeleton suit. It has the logo of a Knight on its chest. The team is equipped with futuristic rifles that use technology from the Mass Effect world. 

"Sir, what are we waiting for?" A young security detail asks Bryan Mills, the leader of the operation. Other than Mills who is carrying two guns, all the others are carrying only one, silvery-blue, basic rifle. It is labeled an M-8 rifle.

The M-8 Avenger rifle can hold up to 30 clips, with 210 reserve clips having to be carried by the team members. It is a great rifle that can penetrate a shield. In the Mass Effect universe, it is the commonly used rifle for the galactic army. 

Bryan is carrying an enhanced M-76 Revenant rifle in his hand, while an M-100 Grenade Launcher is on his back. The rifle has an amazing fire rate, but low accuracy. Only the enhanced Bryan managed to use it. The grenade launcher can ignore gravity and shoot in a straight line within a 200-meter radius. It is the ideal weapon for crowd control. 

Bryan Mills lit up a cigar. He is waiting for the signal from Ryan. His eyes are looking at the top of Stark tower 5 blocks away.

He huffed out a circle of smoke. "Boys, don't rush. Good things happen to people who wait,"

*Poof poof* 5 floating vehicles come to pick up the team. They are divided into 5 teams of 3 and will be stationed around the perimeter. 

5 people will stay in front of the shelter, protecting it. Bryan Mills takes a deep breath of the cigar smoke. He has pent-up anger inside him that needs to be shot out. He is protecting the shelter with the other 4, as his instinct is telling him he is going to be needed here. 

Bryan keeps smoking the cigar, remembering the night he has with Amora. They slept together even before she controlled him. He didn't know why she does that. He couldn't understand it.

No other man manages to touch her, except for him. Amora just suck their life force dry using her magic if she needed a magic supply. Maybe she will let them lick her feet, but that's it.

'So...why me?' Bryan thought seriously before he saw the beacon of light that split the sky. He throws down the cigar and stepped on it.

From the top of the Stark tower, a blue energy beam shoots up toward the sky. *Ziu* The wormhole opened. Loki smiles as his plan is working. There is no one there to stop him. Standing on the Stark Iron Armor landing platform, he changed his attire into armor.

Loki hears a fluttering cloth sound coming from behind him. He smiles as he turns back to face the visitor. 

"Earth Guardian…You're too late," Loki smirks as he sees Eclipse who is confronting him. 

"The Chitauri is coming. Nothing can change that," Loki said as he is creating some distance between them.

"What are you waiting for?" Loki is a little disturbed as Eclipse isn't saying anything. It looks like he is waiting for something. 

"Justification," Eclipse said in a gloomy voice. Loki's eyes widened. His heart beats quickly. 

"Justification for what?" The god of mischief asks as he grips his scepter tightly. 

The hole in the sky is becoming wider. The Avenger is coming at this time. 

"Captain, you need to take the lead when the time comes. Phil, stay on the ship and try to provide air support. Banner, don't turn green yet," Kai ordered as they got close to the tower. 

"When did my house become an air BnB?" Starks asks as Jarvis notified him about Loki and Eclipse inside the house. He replayed the conversation Loki has with Eclipse. He breaks out into a smile after hearing what Eclipse says next. 

"Tony, bastard, where have you been!?" Ryan hacked into Tony's suit and scolded him with a full-volume blast. The iron armor staggered in the sky.

"You're going to pay my medical bill if my eardrum pops, kid. Have people been evacuated?" Tony said as he changed direction to the top of the tower. He can't change his suit with Eclipse and Loki inside his house. 

"Shut it down Dr. Selvig," Tony ordered as he arrived on the roof.  

"It's too late. The tesseract wants to show us something. A new universe," Dr. Selvig said fanatically. Tony tries to shoot the device, but he is attacked by the repulsion of the energy shield protecting the cube. 

"Tony, prepare to change your suit," Ryan ordered. Tony can't fight in the Mark 6. It's suicide. 

"How? My house is full. I won't change clothes in front of men," Tony is scanning the wormhole. He didn't have the sensor bracelet yet. If there is only Loki, he will just walk inside the house. But there is a new guy. 

"Eclipse will bring the mad god out," Ryan said, surprising Tony. 

"You know that guy?" 

"He saved my life an hour ago," Ryan is showing Tony the footage of his house. 

"What is that?" The reporters are excited to see the hole in the sky. They are not evacuating even though the streets are now empty. Ryan's efficiency is so high, that the area within a 5-block radius from Stark Industry is now deserted with only some stragglers. 

From the wormhole, an army of Chitauri flew down to New York. The first wave of the army flies down and starts to attack the streets.

The locust-type army is covering the sky black. Ryan is greatly surprised by the size of the army. 

"The movie doesn't do the Chitauri army justice," Ryan exclaims. Should he just hack into a nuclear missile now?

*Crash* Eclipse punches Loki out of the Stark tower. The mad god is now falling from the sky with a bloodied nose!

10 seconds ago:

"Justification for what?"

"Justification… in killing an Asgardian prince…"

…

"I will take the sky," Kai said, surprising the other Avenger. They landed on the street near the tower, where Coulson dropped them off before shooting at the gliders.  The quinjet is providing them with air support. 

"How?" Captain America asks, puzzled. All the people there are puzzled. Natasha and Barton are getting ready as the army is nearing their position. Thor is on his way. He will arrive in a minute. 

Kai smirks and he tore up a weird-looking parchment. The parchment dissipated into him and a grey raven wing came out of Kai's back.

"You!?" Natasha widened her eyes as she saw the scene of the fallen angel. Kai smiles at her before he wears a plague doctor mask on his face and takes to the sky.

Tony is changing his suit, so he is the only one in the air. He flew to the wormhole, where he is facing 50 chitauri gliders alone!

"Fuh," Kai takes a deep breath from under the plague mask. 

"[Wind Breathing: 6th Form. Black Wind Mountain Mist]" 

Using his sword cane, he rotates his body and slashes the alien while he is flying upward. *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* The Chitauri gliders are split into half and explode in the air. Kai throws an explosion bead towards the Chitauri that is outside his range. 

"Holy Sh*t," Banner exclaimed. Hawkeye grinned. Among the people here, he is the only one who knows about Kai's fight with the vampire. Although he feels bad he had told Loki about it.

"As expected of the human race savior," Hawkeye mutters as he shoots down 3 Chitauri gliders who are nearby. 

"I will need more information about that later," Natasha said as she took out her gun and started to shoot at the gliders. 

"Heads up," suddenly, an exhausted voice hacked into their communication line. 

"Knight?" Natasha asks as she recognizes the voice.

"Ryan, is Betty okay?" Banner asks, stunning Steve and Barton. Natasha already knows about Banner's relationship with Ryan. 

"She's fine. She is in the campus shelter."

Tony finishes changing into his Mark 7 armor and rockets into the air. He is shooting the gliders and covers the sky with Kai.

"Dude, you can grow wings?" Tony asks Kai next to him. 

"We will talk about this later," Kai said as he split into the opposite direction from Tony and slashed 10 gliders who were in a formation. They tried to shoot Kai down, but his air maneuverability exceeded Tony after he got the wind god art. 

"Tony, a big guy is coming," Ryan says in the line. "Also, I'm taking Baymax,"

"What big guy?" He looks at the portal, and the behemoth flying leviathan is exiting the portal. Tony is stunned that he stopped moving for a second. 

Steve said as the leviathan is flying 50 meters from the ground, shooting an army from his belly into the streets and into the building. 

"Stark, are you seeing this?"

"Seeing. Still working on believing." 

"Banner, that's your cue," Kai announced as he stopped the glider from attacking an occupied car. The invasion quickly spread out of the perimeter Ryan made. It is now spreading 10 blocks away.

Although the Chitauri is following Loki's order, they are also following Thanos's. 

To cut down half of the population. Right now, a squadron of Chitauri gliders is going to the Knight Disaster Shelter.

The shelter's first line of defense is activated. 

"The drones are engaging," Ned is notified as he is watching the battle from the screen. Stark combat drones are protecting the 500,000 people inside the shelter. 

The resistance is attracting more Chitauri to go to the shelter. 

"Peter, are you ready yet?" Ryan asks urgently. Peter, who is needed to command Baymax, nodded furiously. 

"Talk! you idiot, this is an ordinary call," MJ scolded as she is helping Ryan command the Brainbots to help people evacuate. 

Not only the kids, but all the researchers in the company are also helping. The kids are just an extra. 

"Yes sir, I am ready!" Peter said with a puberty voice. 

"Good. You just need to tell Baymax how to avoid the attack and who is the enemy," Ryan advised before he let Peter do his work. 

In the street near Stark Tower. 

Loki is blocking the punch from Eclipse with his scepter. Their strength is pretty equal. Loki is using his magic, while Eclipse is simulating divine draconic power.

"You're powerful, but it is not enough to defeat me!" Loki said arrogantly as he wiped the blood from his nose. 

He can see the cracks on Eclipse's gauntlet. The more he blocks the weapon, the faster the cracks spread. 

"You…really like to talk huh," Eclipse said, stunning Loki. In their battle, only Loki runs his mouth. 

Anger boiled up inside Loki. "I am about to become ruler of the Earth! By then, you WILL…work for me!"

"Pfft," Eclipse lets out a laugh. It causes goosebumps to appear on Loki's skin if the god is capable of having goosebumps. 

"You underestimate humans…" Eclipse said as he jumped and kicked to attack Loki.  

A green magic beam attacked Eclipse, cutting his jump short a few meters. Loki projected his body into hundreds of Loki's, encircling Eclipse. 

He aims the scepter toward Eclipse who is in the center. 

"If you don't work for me, then you can die," Loki said arrogantly. 

"LOKI!!!!" A Viking yell is heard from the sky. Loki is distracted for a moment, and Eclipse takes the chance to kick the side of his head, making him fly into the walls on the street. 

*BAM* Thor landed on his knees next to Eclipse. Cracks appear on the ground as Thor arrives. 

'Superhero landing!' Eclipse thought inwardly. 

"Now the team is all here," Ryan said as he was monitoring the entire city. 

Steve, Natasha, and Barton are fighting the ground army southwest. Banner is still waiting for Tony to lead the leviathan to him. Kai and Coulson are fighting in the air. 

In the east, the knight army team is protecting the perimeter. They are shooting the gliders that breach it and fighting the ground army.

In the west, the shelter is under heavy fire. The combat drones are actively protecting the shelter, but their numbers are diminishing. Baymax is fighting in the sky near the shelter, karate-kicking the chitauri.

Byran and his team are still on standby. They will only disturb the drones if they interfere right now. 

The city is in chaos from the invasion. In space, 3 small, 10-meter-long spaceships are heading toward New York City. 

"Why isn't Deer God coming?" Yelena, who is disguised as a green-skinned alien, says on the communication line. She is on a two-person fighter ship with another girl from the island.

"He had jumped over to the other side," Park Shin, who has a furry face, answered from the other ship. Her ship is a 4 person ship that focuses on defense. She is carrying Meowth and Annika with her. 

She loses a rock, scissors, and paper game with Yelena. Yelena had picked the disguised alien race for her. She has a cat ear and cat tail. And also whiskers. She looks more like a cat than Meowth. 

"Focus. We are entering Earth's space," Frank Castle in a Mandalorian suit said. It will take 5 minutes for them to get there.
