Excuse me? asked the man sitting in the chair.

Snap out of it Riley,!

Riley: Oh yes yes. Sorry i zoned out for a moment.

The man said in a husky voice: So are you ready to work as my personal assistant?

Riley nodded her head

'Good, You may go now. Shane will show you your desk'.

Riley made her way out and let a huge sigh.

Who knew what else is waiting for her.

She found herself in a desk. Her place was opposite to the office of CEO.

It was hard for her to focus oj whatever she is doing.. Because all she could think was about the dream and this strange coincidence. However she decided to think about it later. She didn't wanted to get fired on her first day of work itself. And thats what she did.

Shane was the personal assistant of the CEO and was of great help to Riley. Riley noticed Shane's flirtatious behavior, well it wasn't anything serious,she thought.

It was already evening and was her time to leave.

Riley started packing her things and thats when she heard footsteps from behind.

Mr. Jax? asked Riley.

Are you finished with your work for today? He asked while leaning awfully close.

Y-yyes sir. I was about to leave for the day. said Riley nervously.

Are you ok over there Riley?

Asked a male voice behind them.

Jax replied turning his body towards the guy

Why wouldn't she be okay?

The both men glared at each other.

Riley broke the tension between them. Sir, good evening. I'll be off now.

She ran and took the guy's hand and dragged him out of there.

They stepped out of the building.

Riley: Are you out of your goddamn mind? That's my freakin boss you saw there Ray!

He would have thought that you are my overprotective boyfriend or something. What do i tell him now?!

Ray replied angrily. Why would a boss be that close to an employee? Is there something going on between you both? If i see this continues, or if he is making you uncomfortable then I'll need to have a word with him. My sister is not some play toy for some boss!

Riley smiled. She was happy that her brother is being concerned about her. She assured him and they walked home with their hand shoulder on shoulder.

Jax POV

Why did i do that to her? She is only new. I shouldn't make her feel uncomfortable. It will affect her work. What was i thinking.?

.. Well who is that guy? Is he her boyfriend? Husband? Friend?

Why am i thinking too much?

Why do i let her have this affect on me?

I will ignore her. That's for the best.
