He slept outside

That one guy

Mediocrity.

This simple word was the only one to describe him.

Stuck just a hair below average.

His days passed monotonously. He was a student with mediocre grades, occupying a mediocre job.

His parents only had eyes for his elder sister, a bright and social girl, not to mention she was pretty.

He had a group of friends, but none among them actually cared about him.

Sometimes he couldn't help but think him disappearing wouldn't change anything.

But he knew it wasn't the truth. After all, he was mediocre, not terrible.

He couldn't find a reason to change.

He was stuck in a very grey world.

Everything seemed so out of reach.

One day, he was sitting on a bench outside, watching pigeons. He was crying silently, without moving. Breathing slowly. He had realized he hated his life. He'd rather die than continue like this. He was going to make a change, run away, kill someone, maybe cut his hair? something.

As his resolution was sharpening, someone of imposing stature sat next to him.

Without a warning, the stranger screamed out.

"GYAAAAAEEEEEEIIIIIIIOOOOOOK!"

So much power was carried in his scream, the pigeons were blinded by the brightness of this scene. As they flapped their wings, feathers fell out making it all just more mythical.

The mediocre dude turned his head to the saviour of his life. A determined look painted on his face.

"Deal." he declared.

And so, they went away together.
