2 Chapter 2 – The Omen of the End (R-18)

Aurum snapped opened his eyes, and the first thing that came to his sight were white panties, not the regular ones, sexy ones at that. He placed his palm on his neck, looking at his younger sister, who halted in between, "Big…brother?"

"I love you too, Eve," Aurum tilted his head, letting out a smile, but Eve didn't seem happy. Her eyes widened for a moment as she fell to her knees, tracing his neck.

"Did…you…did I?" She looked at him with a crushed look, "why was this necessary?"

Eve didn't need an answer for him. He hugged his head, closing her eyes. Death eluded her big brother. From what she heard from him, he managed to get into an accident, hit by a truck, and he seemingly died. Yet, he woke up about a day before. He didn't understand any of it and so he tried to figure it out. He kept saying that he saw the time stop. As a result, he went ahead and put himself in a half dead state, which resulted him into being able to see in the essence of his skill.

From what she heard, every time an event happened that lead to his death, the time would stop and start turning backwards and then everything went blank. The next thing he knew, he was a day in the past. She understood that. Yet, "the thought of you getting hurt…"

It was simple. Eve gently snuggled in his arms, pressing her forehead against his shoulder, feeling his palm stroking her head, "can we stay like this for a while?"

"Yeah," Aurum muttered, holding her in his arms. He held her until he was content and until it started to feel awkward. He cleared his throat, "Right, Eve. We need to go home today."

Eve watched him with upturned ruby eyes, puffing her cheeks. She was about to complain since he promised he would take school seriously when she remembered what had happened, "does this have to do with the reason why you returned in time?"

"Yes, well…something absurd happened. I had to use the knife that I kept for contingency," Aurum scratched his cheek. If anyone ever caught them or realised the relationship they shared. It could destroy their way of life. Although at worst it would turn them into a shut-in or lead to them selling all their property and moving away.

Still, 'just in case we decide to stay here. Last Chance to change things. I named my ability Last Chance for that purpose…but I wasn't expecting a zombie apocalypse.'

"And for one person to have it…" Aurum narrowed his crystal blue eyes, "Was the Sign of Disaster."

"Big brother?" Eve looked at him in confusions, seeing the sharp look in his eyes. Her big brother was never this sharp.

"In this case…it was the Sign of Apocalypse," Aurum climbed on his feet, pulling on her to help her stand with him, "For now, we need to go home and make some preparations."

"Apocalypse?"

"Zombie Apocalypse," Aurum answered her.

"Surely you jest, big brother," Eve chuckled, following after him. He stopped, and she looked at him back, 'He never looks this sharp…'

"You are not kidding?" Eve questioned.

"Sorry to break it to you, Eve," Aurum apologised. The two of them ran back to their class. Eve waited outside while Aurum went in, collecting his bags. Usually, he would apologise to the teacher, whoever they were, 'they might die…tomorrow. I'll talk to you if I can save you.'

He picked his and Eve's bag, walking out of the class while everyone other than the teacher was trying to figure out what he was doing. It was a strange atmosphere. Even when he closed the door, the atmosphere followed.

"Thank you, big brother," Eve took her bag, walking with him as they made their way towards the shoe lockers. They made their way to the parking lot where Aurum kept his motorbike to drive back home. Since he couldn't get his licence to drive cars till he was 18, he had to make do with the bike.

Not that he didn't like the bike. He loved the speed and the air. Still, ever since the accident with the truck, 'something safer like a reinforced car would be much better. I can go back in time…but I don't want to see Eve hurt, ever. Maybe I should throw her in an underground bunker or something.'

"Big brother! Don't even think about it!!" Eve raised her body on the back of the bike, grabbing his shoulders for support as she raised her voice so he could hear her despite the wind.

"What! I didn't say anything!" Aurum shouted back.

"I know how big brother thinks!" Eve leaned on him, pressing her boobs against his back as she wrapped her hands around his neck, "I am staying with big brother!!"

Since their house was across the bridge and the apartment building near it. Though, there were more important things than to look at the view. Aurum opened the door to their house. They didn't decorate the house. If anything, there was a futon right on the left side of the door. And against the left wall was the coffee/water machine, which was kept next to the door to the bedroom and attached bathroom. Opposite to that was the computer, which he brought to life, next to it was the door to the storage room, bath storage, another bedroom. The balcony was right there, opposite to the entrance door.

We had our house refurnished to make the kitchen on the upper left side of this room, "Oh, the last night's porn is still up. Want to watch it."
