7 Heartbreak

Sadie felt like her world has come to end as she wept out loud uncontrollably. Why did he decided he found the one. She knew deep down that Zach loved her too. Why else would he always seek her approval on all his girlfriends. She just couldn't stop crying. She looked at her phone and noticed it was five thirty in the morning. She knew she wouldn't be able to go into work today. Sadie worked as a elementry school teacher. She loved being a teacher. Her students could always bring a smile to her face but today she knew they couldn't. It wouldn't be fair to her students either because she wouldn't be able to put her full attention to the kids and their education. She quickly called the school district and told them she wouldn't be in this week do to personal issues. They were able to hire a substitute for the week and that set Sadies mind at ease. Now she had the freedom to wallow in her pain.

Zach awoke the next morning concerned about Sadie. He tried to call but all he got was her answering message. "Hello you've reached Sadie. I can't come to the phone right now. If you could leave a message I will get back with you as soon as possible. Beep: Hey Sadie, it's Zach. I'm just calling to see if you are ok. I know last night when I dropped you off you weren't feeling well because of a migraine. If you need anything today don't hesitate to call. I will glady come and help you in any way that I can. Hope to hear from you soon." He figured she may still be sleeping and he would try later on that day.

He tried again and again through out the day but still just got her answering message. He decided he would call Meela to see if she had talked to Sadie that day. "Hello" Meela answered. "Hey Meela its me Zach." "Oh hi Zach. How are you?" she asked. "I'm ok; and you?" he asked. "I'm doing great! So what can I do for you today?" she asked curiously. Zach didn't normally call her. "Have you heared from Sadie today? I have tried calling her but she hasn't been picking up her phone. I'm kind of worried because when I dropped her off at her apartment last night she said she was getting a migraine. You know as well as I do that she can get some serious migraines." he told her. "I'm sorry Zach I haven't talked to Sadie today. I will try calling her too. If I hear from her I will let you know ok." she said. "Thanks Meela. I really appreciate it. If I hear from her I will also let you know too." he said. "Ok thanks; I will talk to you later. Bye" she said. "Bye." Zach ended the call and went back to work. Zach knew that if he couldn't get ahold of Sadie then Meela would likely be the one to get ahold of her. He tried not to worry anymore and went back to work.

As soon as Meela hung up the phone with Zach she immediately called Sadie. She knew that this was not about a migraine. Sadie got hurt because of Zach. She saw it coming last night so she was really not surprised that this was happening.

Sadie didn't have the strength to talk to Zach so whenever he called she wouldn't answer the phone. She heared his messages but just deleted them. Every time she heard his messages she would start to cry. Her phone started ringing again and she was dreading it because she thought that Zach was calling her again. When she looked at the caller ID she saw it was Meela calling. She picked up the phone and answered while crying "Meela, can you come over today? I really need a good friend today." Meela could hear she had been crying and said "Of course I will be right over."

Once she got to Sadies house she could see that Sadie was absolutely devastated. "Sadie! What happened?" Meela asked her in concern. She had never seen Sadie like this before. She has seen her many times crying over Zach, but nothing like this. "He....Wants....to....marry....her! she said while she sobbed. Sadie was crying so hard she could barly get out that sentence to Meela.

Meela walked over to Sadie and sat down. She put her arm around her and pulled her to her shoulder and just let her cry. Once Sadie had settled down she said "I'm so sorry Sadie. I never wanted to see you get this hurt." "I know you don't. I didn't want this to happen either." she sadly said. "You probally know that Zach is the one that contacted me when he couldn't get ahold of you." "I figured as much; but Meela I just can't talk to him today. Every time I think about him I start to cry." she sadly said. "I know but your going to have to face him sooner or later." "I know that I just can't today." Meela looked Sadie in the eye and asked "Do you want me to tell him your ok and you just want to be left alone right now?" "If you could I would be extremely grateful." she answered. "Ok consider it done."

Meela and Sadie just sat on the couch and Sadie cried a little more. "Sadie I know that right now isn't the time to ask you this, but it may help you get over Zach too. Do you want me to set you up with some of my guy friends?" Sadied looked at her and had a slight laugh and said "Maybe in a few days. I know I need to get back out there. I just need a few days to let Zach go for good." "I understand. You let me know when you are ready ok?" she said sadly. It hurt her to see someone she cared about hurt the way Sadie was right now. "I will let you know."

Meela left Sadies house a few hours later. When she got home she called Zach like she said that she would. Zach immediately answered the phone. "Hello. Did you get in touch with Sadie?" he asked. "I did she said she is ok. She just wants quiet and asks us not to bother her anymore." she answered. "Oh ok. I'm glad she alright." Zach quickly ended his call with Meela. He felt a little better now that he talked to Meela. He quickly got ready for his date with Rose and left to pick her up.
