Ice Cream

When I got back inside the house, they all finished eating dinner. Mom greeted me with a confused look.

"Why are you back so soon? Where's Joshua?" She asked then looked behind me.

I shrugged. "He's at the pool. I'm tired, I'll show him around next time. I'm going to my room." I kissed her cheek. "Goodnight mom."

The first thing I saw when I entered my room was Angel lying on my bed while holding her phone. "That guy, Joshua is hot, right? I saw his instagram profile. He's currenty studying in Ateneo and he's already in 12th grade." She's grinned as she said that as if she's luring that arrogant guy to me.

"Whatever, Ashley I am not interested with him. He's so arrogant." I answered her in a shallow voice and then went inside the bathroom to take a bath.

When I finished showering, Angel was not in my room anymore.

I picked up my phone and searched Joshua on instagram. I immediately found his profile and I was amazed at the number of his followers. But his profile was private so didn't get to see his posts.

I just slept because Angel and I are going somewhere tomorrow.

"O to the M to the G! This beach has just got even more beautiful!" Angel hopped happily on the white sand. She is wearing a see-through beach dress with a cute pair of pink bikini beneath it. She paired it with a pastel pink flip flops and she's holding a large straw tote bag.

I'm wearing a black bikini then I covered it up with a sheer chiffon sarong, tied with a side-split. I finished my look with a wide-brimmed hat and aviator sunglasses.

I really feel like I'm in Maldives.

The beach is indeed very beautiful. The fine white sand I was stepping on felt so good on my feet. The water in the shallow part of the sea is clear so the white and fine sand as well as the pebbles are visible while in the deep part is turquoise which makes the scenery even more beautiful. There are some parked boats and jetski on the shore. There are some jagged limestone karsts, offshore isles and even a coral reef that made the beach even more enjoyable. There are also palm trees around.

The view was jaw-dropping but I couldn't get myself happy because the great annoying guy Joshua is standing right behind me. Yes, he came with us.

I was surprised to see him in the living room this morning as soon as I went downstairs because I thought they went home last night. He will stay in the villa throughout the whole weekend because of unknown reason. Are they really that close to my family?

He preceded me in walking and then he sat on the sand. He placed his arms behind his back to support his weight and then looked up.

He looked so hot in his black Calvin Klein sleeveless shirt and a pair of beach shorts. He paired it with sunglasses. His fair skin got even more highlighted by the sunlight which really fit him.

I did not realize I was just standing and staring at him so I was surprised when he suddenly turned in my direction.

"Are you done checking me out?" He smirked. He's too proud of himself!

I just blew air in the absence of an answer to his question.

"Why don't you join your sister in the beach instead of standing there and staring at me like a pervert?" He turned his back on me after he said that.

What on Earth?! I can't believe the boldness of this guy! Is he just really aware that he looks like a greek god?

I can't accept to myself that I'm thinking that he looks good. I just can't!

"Chloe, come here. Let's swim! You missed this,too, didn't you?" Angel called to me so I ran over to her and swam.

"Oh my God, the water feels so good!" I exclaimed. "Of course, I missed this. I missed going here with you and grandma. It's a pity she was not able to come with us." I splashed little droplets of water on my face.

"Yeah, you're right. She says she feels fine but that does not reduce my worries because she does not allow us to enter her room to check on her, she only lets mommy take care of her." Concern was evident in Angel's voice.

I patted her back and smiled at her. "Maybe she just doesn't want us to worry."

Angel was about to speak again but she was interrupted by Joshua.

"Did you come here to the beach for drama?" After he said that he immediately got on the jetski and suddenly turned it on so the water splashed on me because I was facing him. He laughed annoyingly when he saw my frown.

"What the---" Aaargh! I just ignored him because I was sure he would only annoy me even more.

When we got tired of swimming in the sea, we decided to go home. When we were walking on our way home, we passed by an ice cream stand. Angel and I were about to go to buy but Joshua suddenly gave her an ice cream.

Angel and I looked at each other and then I looked at the ice cream she was holding and then at Joshua's.

Obviously, Joshua didn't buy me one.

"Here. You can have mine." She was about to hand me her ice cream but Joshua stopped her.

"Chloe can have this. I'll just buy another one." It was as if he had been forced to give it to me so I did not accept it.

"That one is yours. I know you meant not to buy me one." I rolled my eyes at him and went to buy myself an ice cream.

Why am I feeling a bit of disappointment? Is it because I hoped he will give me one, too? But, no! I shouldn't be disappointed just because he did not give me ice cream. I can't be that shallow.
