First Meeting

Finally! After nearly four hours of tedious drive, we arrived at my grandmother's very beautiful villa. As soon as we entered the massive black gate with a gold letter R engraved on it (R stands for Ramirez), I still couldn't stop myself from wandering my eyes around the beautiful scenery.

On the side of the road, there are beautiful and lofty pine trees which give fresh and cold air. The fresh air here in the villa gives comfort to my feeling. As we approached my grandmother's house, we also passed by the immense garden made by my grandfather with so many varieties of colorful and fragrant flowers. In the middle of the garden is a beautiful fountain with green and blue lights that are lit up every evening.

As we're already getting near, I can already see my grandmother sitting on a wheelchair with a sweet smile plastered on her face. Behind her is one of our maids that is assigned to take care of her.

"Oh my God, grandma I missed you!" I immediately embraced her and greeted. "How are you feeling? Are you okay? I've been worried sick about you since I heard about what happened." I told her in a melodious voice.

"Aww, don't worry about me, Chloe. I'm still strong, those diseases won't affect me." Grandma said naughtily.

"Why don't you all enter the house first so we can have a cup a tea? I'm pretty sure you're all tired."

When we entered Grandma's grand house, the servants met us to pick up our baggage and brought into our rooms.

"The maids already cleaned your rooms so my lovely grandchildren can immediately rest." She then ordered the servants to serve foods and drinks for us.

"Chloe and I are going to the beach tomorrow, grandma. Do you want to come with us?" Ashley asked grandma but grandma only shook her head because she can't come with us because she's not allowed to get tired.

After eating, I went to my room to unpack my clothes and arrange all my things. I lie down on the bed and just stared at the ceiling.

I will be happy here for sure. I will be away from the toxic community in the city, from all the toxic students in our scholl, away from Amethyst and away from that jerk, Carl. I'm so sick of them. Maybe it's finally time to just be happy and not to worry about what other people thinks about me. I will be transferring to a new school and hopefully,I will meet new friends there.

I didn't notice that I feel asleep and just woken up by a maid knocking on the door and told me it's time for dinner. I immediately went downstairs since I'm hungry already.

When I entered the dining room, I saw some unfamiliar faces eating with my family. But what stole my attention is the man sitting next to a fairly aged woman.

He is very handsome. He has this very deep and strong face features. His nose is sharp and pointed, his lips are red like blood, his eyebrows and eyelashes are dark and thick and his gray eyes that are very attractive.

I was disturbed when he suddenly turned to me and raised an eyebrow at me. "What are you looking at?" He asked me with a very deep voice.

I just rolled my eyes at him and sat on the chair beside my mom. He's so arrogant. ugh!

I can't focus on eating because I can feel the strange guy looking at me. What's his problem? I didn't even do anything to him.

"Will you please stop staring at me? You're creepy." I snapped at him.

He put his spoon and fork down and lazily looked at me. "Who's staring at who?"

"You. I can see you staring at me." I hate him. I was disgusted by his rudeness.

We turned to mommy when she suddenly chuckled. "Just look at the two of you. You don't even know each other yet, you are already arguing. By the way, this handsome kid right here is Joshua and these are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Choi." She patted my back. "I guess you two are already done eating. Chloe, why don't you go and show Joshua around? I hope you two can get along. Enjoy kids."

I was about to protest but she cut me off. My mom showed me a 'what are you still doing here?' look so lazily stood up and just glanced at Joshua then started walking.

My mom is kind and sweet but she is quite strict so I have to follow her commands immediately because I don't want to make her angry.

I can feel Joshua following me from behind. I stopped walking when we reached the poolside and faced him.

There are lounge chairs that are lined up on the pool deck. There is also a small spa that can accommodate two persons. There are also some dwarf citrus plants around it that makes it look more relaxing.

On the patio, there are light stands that makes it look more luxurious.

I crossed my arms. "Look, I don't know why mommy made me do this but I'm a little tired so I'm sorry to say that I can't show you around." I said in a steady way.

I did not get a response from him so I just rolled my eyes and was about to leave but he suddenly chuckled. I was stunned and stared at his face.

I got attracted by the way he chuckled so I almost forgot that he was rude.

"Your eyes will squint if you always roll your eyes at me." He said in an annoying way.

I sighed harshly. "Shut up." I was about to roll my eyes but stopped myself midway and just turned my back to him.

There is something about him that is annoying me. He looks serious but at the same time, he is also very cocky. I hate his playful aura. I feel like he always talk to people in a sarcastic way.

I heard him laugh again before I left.
