When I entered the house, I found Angel carrying a towel and going to the pool. She turned to me and said, "Do you want to join me? I will swim in the pool for a while." She seemed hesitant to speak but eventually said, "I would also like to talk to you about something."

I nodded and said I would just change my clothes first and get a towel.

When I arrived at the pool Angel was swimming back and forth at both ends of the pool. I dived into the pool and followed Angel's swimming.

Angel and I both swim well because our parents used to enroll us to a swimming school every summer when we were kids.

"Let's race," she removed his goggles and turned to face me and challenge me.

I smirked and said, "You really like to hurt yourself, Angel, don't you? You already knew before that you can't beat me yet now you are challenging me."

"Let's race so we can see which of the two of us is really better."

I adjusted my swim cap and goggles then we warmed up on the side of the pool then we approached the diving board together.

We stood on the board and positioned ourselves. "Get ready. 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... dive!" When Ashley made the jump call, I immediately dived into the pool.

I did some breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly until I reached the other end of the pool. I kicked on the wall to flip my body under the water and swam again to the other end of the pool. When I reached the end I came up out of the water then watched Angel swim and go up as well.

When the two of us looked at each other, we laughed. She sat on the edge of the pool then helped me up. "Fine, you swim faster than me. When we were still young, I was already impressed by your talent." She smiled at me and then looked up.

I stared at her with a smile on my lips and said, "You know I'm just always here and ready to listen to your problems, right? Whatever is bothering you right now, just tell me." I also looked up the sky and looked at the glowing stars.

I heard her sigh. "Someone is courting me. Honestly, I like him too, a lot. I want to say yes to him because I don't want to lose him anymore." She smiled bitterly. "But it's not that easy because I know mommy will be angry. I know she has plans for us. Besides, we're still young, we still have a lot of new people to meet. Maybe we will also forget each other when the time comes." I could feel the sadness in her voice.

"If you really love him, fight for him, Angel. As your younger sister, I will help you because I love you and I want you to be happy." I pulled her for a hug and whispered on her ear. "If you are determined to fight for your love for him, just call my name and I will do whatever it takes just to help you."

The Next Day, At School

"Kindly prepare a sheet of paper for your long quiz", the teacher said as he fiddled with his laptop.

At the same time, my classmates complained because the teacher did not say ahead of time and they could have studied except for Chelsey and me.

"Don't worry because it will also serve as a review for your upcoming exams."

I was worried when I could not find any paper inside my bag. I would have asked Chelsey but there was only one piece left for her. "I'm dead. How can I take a quiz if I don't have a paper."

I looked up at the owner of the hand who had laid a paper on my table. "There, you will not die because you already have one. I was scared when you said you would die just because you did not have paper." It was Nathan.

I laughed at what he said. "Since you are generous, can you also give me an answer to the quiz later?", I said jokingly.

"You're abusive, huh? I don't want to." He jokingly rolled his eyes at me and returned to his chair in front of my table because the quiz was about to begin.

When the lunch break came, Nathan walked with us out of the classroom. He put his arm around my shoulders and said, "Let's eat outside. My treat."

"Really? You might suddenly charge us a debt, we never know", Chelsey said then laughed at Nathan's reaction.

His face was frowning as he raised the edge of his lip as if he did not agree with what Chelsey said. "Maybe you, yes, I can charge you suddenly when I'm short of money but Chloe, no. Absolutely not", the lunatic replied sarcastically.

"Come on, let's eat there. I can assure you, the food there is delicious", Chelsey said as she pulled us into a restaurant when we entered the mall.

I just let her pull me in because my eyes were busy touring every boutique I see inside the mall. I was here for the first time so I was really amazed at how nice it was. My expectations at the mall in this area are simple and small so I never thought it would be so big and elegant.

When we sat down Nathan immediately called the waiter and ordered food.

"Finally, tomorrow is Saturday. We can rest well after five tiring school days", Chelsey said as she fixed her things in her bag.

"Since Chloe came, I haven't been excited for the weekend because I will miss her when I don't see her", Nathan said so I punched him in the arm jokingly.

"Our teacher texted me. We don't have classes this afternoon because the teachers have an emergency meeting." Chelsey announced.

"I feel so unlucky today. It's the weekend tomorrow,yet there will be no classes later either. Destiny really shortens the time that Chloe and I can be together", Nathan joked again so I laughed.

"Stop us there with your corny words, Nathan. I hate your noise." Chelsey growled at him.

When we finished eating, we left immediately because the sky was a bit shady so it might rain. Chelsey and Nathan accompanied me to wait for my driver so they didn't go home right away.

After a few minutes, our driver still did not arrive so I took my phone to text him but I received a message from mommy.

Mom♥:

Chloe, I'm sorry I didn't text you right away. The driver can't pick you up right now because he had an emergency but don't worry, Joshua will be there to pick you up.

My heart pounded a bit just by the mere mention of his name. Why am I like this? I never felt this way before.

"My driver can't pick me up. Maybe you guys should go home first." I told them.

"Do you want me to send you home? I know you have not memorized the way home", Nathan said worriedly.

I was about to accept his offer just to avoid Joshua when suddenly a black Ford Ranger stopped in front of us. The car window glass came down and Joshua was exposed wearing sunglasses and a white shirt.

It was as if my voice suddenly escaped me so I could not speak immediately and just stared at him.
