A chat with new friends

'When I first thought of visiting hell. I considered the chances of the first trip being absolutely awful. My thoughts on the chance of something going wrong we're correct, but, not in the way I thought it would. Seeing I was the one who was the main cause for my small accident.'

'That said, the accident already passed so there's no need to talk further on that topic. What I need to talk about, is what I plan on doing now that I'm in hell for the day. The goal's I set weren't that hard, but, I didn't know how to go about doing them. I only had a day before I had to get back to heaven, because, that was the time I told Corrin I'd be back. Didn't feel like worrying the little guy.'

'Well, I said a day, but, I didn't say theΒ exactΒ time. Not like it really matters all that much. ...Okay, maybe it does matter a little bit to him, and maybe me. ...What? I promised to myself that I'd cuddle him later!'

'But, enough with the dilly dallying. I had thing's to do and nothing was really going to stop me!'

"Welp, I was expecting a different answer from you." 'No point in trying to sugarcoat my little joke that ultimately failed.'

"Well, as long as we both get something good out of this, then it's fine in my book." 'He didn't downright argue with me, so, that's a brownie point heading his way.'

'Before I could say anything else, someone besides me and Alastor decided to jump into the conversation' "It's lovely seeing you two talk and all, but, are you going to ignore us as well?" Might be chest fluff, not entirely sure.'

'I sent Angel Dust an apologetic smile then looked back to Alastor to see if I could get back to talking with the others.' "Mind if we continue our conversation later Al?"

'Only a smile and a nod was all the confirmation I needed as I began to walk back to the main group.' "Well, seeing you wanted my attention, was there something you needed?"

'The spider sent me a friendly smile while the others just looked between the two of us, some were looking a little uneasy, didn't know why...' "So, you free tonight sugar? Been aching for a fun night lately~!" 'Ooooh, that's why they looked uneasy. Seem's this is a common thing he does, figures.'

"Sorry man, I don't do flings. I'm a commitment type of guy. I'm sure you're a sweet guy and all, but, flings just aren't my thing, ya know?" 'Hoped he understood I wasn't trying to be rude.'

'Seeing I refused his offer, he seemed a bit disappointed at my refusal but just shrugged, guess that's a good response to my answer.' "Meh, it was worth a shot." 'He said.' "And I'm surprised you didn't seem grossed out with my offer, seeing you already knew about my profession beforehand."

'I walked over to him and patted his shoulder.' "I don't really mind the profession. Those type's of things never really grossed me out. I mean, some just do it to do it." 'Mom always taught me to respect ones profession.'

'Angel was at first shocked at my admittance to not caring, but then he just smiled brightly and said.' "Well aren't you just a sweet treat! Wish you were into flings, and if ya were, I'd give ya my complimentary services plus extra for free~." 'Well, he's definitely a horndog.'

'All I did was pat his shoulder a few more times and smile before walking back over to the couch, but not before picking up Husk again to cuddle with.' "Damn it! I'm not some damn toy to play with!" 'Don't care, didn't ask, shush!'

"Mmm, in my eyes, you're just a cat that needs to be cuddled with." 'And cuddle I shall!'

"Damn it..." 'He pretty much resigned to his fate as he slumped in my arms, slowly laying into my petting with a sigh of defeat.'

'I chuckled as I continued to pet him, not going to stop anytime soon!' "While it's cute seeing you handling Husker like a kitten, we still have to talk about what you're going to do now that your here in hell." 'I looked up to see Charlie standing in front of me with an expectant look, probably wanted to know what I was planning.'

'My head tilted a little bit as I scrunched my face up in thought, I hadn't really considered what to entirely do once I got here. My original goal was just to explore hell and see if I could gain something from doing so.' "Well, my intended plan was just to sightsee, but, now that I've seen that people down here aren't all that bad, I plan to find some places to buy."

"Places to buy? Your plans are to buy a place down here in hell? I mean, it's nice to see that an Angel see's hell as a possible place to live, but, you want too willingly live down here?"

'My response was a confused frown.' "I was never planning on living down here, unless I have too. When I said buy places, I meant lots of businesses. I own a good number of companies and stores up in heaven, thus, I plan on doing the same down in hell."Β

'Her expression changed from neutral to an 'o' shape in understanding.' "Ah, I see! But, that might be a mistake on your end." 'A mistake? What's she mean by that?'

'All I could do was express a frown at her words, did she think I didn't know what I was doing? But, before I could say anything, she seemed to catch onto the dip in my mood.' "I don't mean anything by what I said! I'm just trying to warn you that hell isn't all that safe. 'She inhaled and exhaled, preparing to say her words of advice' "Hell usually has a lot of turf wars and disputes. Thus, making property more expensive to maintain and manage. The only reason I can really run this hotel is because I have the funds to do so, and also because of Alastors support. I mean, you wouldn't believe how many times a stray bullet has punched through some of the window's just from a firefight right outside our front door's!" 'Huh, I didn't really consider that.'

'But, I was more then set to handle that type of problem.' "Don't worry about me on money and management. I already have more than enough money to last me hundreds of thousands of lifetimes. And secondly, managing any owned buildings will be easy due to the power I have in possession, and if having power isn't enough? I'll just make a mafia or something." 'Just because I'm an angel, doesn't mean I'm pure of heart. If I have to higher some goons to do my dirty work, then well, so be it!'

'When I said that, everyone seemed heavily taken aback at my response. Hm, guess they weren't expecting that from an angel that was only five or so day's old.' "Let's just say that I have a friend that's heavily supporting me and pretty much gave me all his money." 'Heh, he actually doesn't even need money or anything in particular.'

'Before I could continue talking, Charlie immediately appeared in my face with a bright smile.' "Then you could help us! With your help, I'm sure we could really kickstart this hotel!"

'Puzzlement was the only response I could give.' "My help? Why would you need my help? I mean, don't you already have more than enough money?"

'But, my guess was wrong.' "We do have more than enough money, but, we don't really have access to many resources outside of this hotel." 'She seemed pretty adamant about getting her point across.' "I've barely got any credibility to my work in helping sinner's gain a chance of redemption. And, I've yet to even have a sinner redeemed. Most don't think it's impossible and consider it a fake dream that can't be achieved. But I say their wrong! I believe in my heart that you canΒ redeem yourself if you truly try!"

'She continued to talk.' "What I need is support, and yet, all I have is the people standing before you! But, if I could gain your support then I know for a fact I could have a chance at making my wish come true! Imagine what I could do if I had the help of an angel that could easily spread the word of what I'm trying to do in heaven!"

'And she stopped, her face flushed with excitement and brimming with anticipation at the possible idea of me helping her, but, I had to pop her bubble.' "While that is a good and truly fascinating idea, which it is. I can't help but deny your request to aid you." 'And there come's the frowns and displeased looks, even Alastor seemed a tad bit disappointed.'

"Why not!? You could be a great boon to this hotel and us, no, not just us! But all of hell as a whole!" 'Seemed I made Charlie a bit upset, oops.'

'Apologies were all I could give, and an explanation.' "Listen, right now I can't. I'm way too busy as is. But, the real reason is because I don't hold enough influence over heaven or hell yet. What I need to do is garner support and resources." 'I stop and stare into her gaze, a spark of determination in my eye's as I stared her down.' "I will help you when I finally have enough supporter's and resources, but until then, I can't. Just...give me some time and I'll tell you when I'm ready."

'When I finished my explanation, everyone's moods immediately became better. Seems my reasoning was more than good enough, and they ever seemed a bit surprised at what I said.' "You really mean it?! Oh, thank you thank you thank you!" 'Charlie latched onto my hand and began to jump up and down in joy.'

'All I could do was smile helplessly as she cheered at my words. I was most certainly going to support this big project of hers. This type of thing is something that can bring hope and happiness, and I want a part in it.' "You're welcome, and I should be thanking you as well." 'She stopped jumping as she registered my words, clearly confused on why I said thanks.'

'But before she could ask what I meant, I decided to speak first.' "The reason I'm giving my thanks is because you're allowing me to do something most would consider foolish, but, I see it as a chance of something greater. Passing this up would have been stupid on my end." 'And there's that smile of hers! Damn her smile and that infectious aura she has! She's making me feel all bubbly and tingly!'

"Ohhhh, you don't know how much this means to me! So many have denied helping me and yet you immediately decided to support me!" 'She was exuberant with happiness, but, she immediately stopped jumping and looked me dead in the eyes. A seriousness expression showed on her face, an expression I've yet had the chance to see.' "If your help truly proves to bear fruit, then, consider yourself the first ever angel to have my backing. The Morningstar name shall support you from here on out, even if it's only just me." 'Woah, I got goosebumps from just her gaze, scary!'

'Gratitude was all I could express as I sent her a warm smile.' "Then if I have your support, then you'll have the support of my name as well." 'Should I tell her my last name? I don't know...I...I've only told it a few time's...I suppose she deserves to know it.' "My last name is laoch, it stands for warrior in Irish." 'And the cat's out of the metaphorical bag.'

'Some showed puzzled expressions when I mentioned it being Irish.' "So you's were an Irish man? Where's the whole accent shtick?" 'Asked Angel Dust.'

"I was born in the United States, so, I have no accent. But, I do have a lot of Irish in me. Well...I'm a mix of a lot of stuff. British, Irish, German, Russian, and so on." 'I could go on for days with how many different ethnicities I have in me.'

'Laughter came from Angel as he smirked at me.' "So your like one big cultural cocktail?" 'Damn, I should have thought of that one! Hm, going to have save that for later...'

'Nodding to his little joke, I replied.' "Basically, yeah. I mean, I never really considered it to be all that amazing. Like, there's way more amazing people out there with all sorts of cool thing's going on in their DNA, or...uh...bad things as well." 'It's kinda fucked what some people get during birth and later in life, well, depending on the thing that makes their life shitty.'

'The little girl, which I will call a kid until proven otherwise, decided to finally speak her mind...by somehow getting onto the top of my head and staring me down with that...eye...yeesh, kinda creepy.' "So your just like a mystery gift bag! Hehehe, I wonder what would happen if I cut you open!" 'Nope, just nope. Like, where's the nearest trashcan I can punt her into?'

'I gingerly reached up and gently set her down, sending her off with a pat on the head and a strained smile.' "I'd prefer it if my intestines were on the inside and not on the outside, preferably not as some sort of noodle art piece."Β

'Instead of being down by my apparent dismissal, she immediately perked up at my mention of art.' "So, your saying I should make art out of people's intestines? ...I LOVE IT!" 'What the fuck....'

'All I could do was recoil at that, visibly disgusted at her. I mean, how did she even get that idea from me!? The only thing I said was toΒ notΒ cut me open as if making me into some bloody art piece! Is she like, ok in the head or...?' "Uhm, please don't." 'Maybe I can persuade her out of it?'

"You're saying I should do it now? Ok!" 'Aaaaaand there she goes. Hm, I just...I dunno...did she even hear me? Do I have to do some sort of mind games to make her not do things like that? .....I don't even want to try...'

'I looked to Charlie, still a little confused on what the fuck just happened.' "Is she okay? Like, okay as in mentally ok?" 'No reason to beat around the bush on this one.'

'Charlie just sheepishly smiled and rubbed the back of her neck.' "Eheheh, that's just Nifty being Nifty. You'll get used to it sooner or later. But, no reason to worry!" 'No reason to worry? Seriously? ...do I need to get my ears checked or something?'

"No reason to worry? How is that no reason to worry about?" 'I point to the main entrance, where the little ball of horror exited from.'Β

'All Charlie could do was laugh, albeit a bit forced.' "Well, for starters, she can't actually kill anyone. You see, down here in hell, we can't die. But...." 'Why's she saying but? But what? No butts no nuts no coconuts? ...that was cheesy...'

"But what? Why are you saying but? Is there something I'm missing here?" 'Hearing that you couldn't die in hell was sweat, but, there was obviously something more to it.'

"Well...you can die, and by die, I mean permanently. It's called true death, which means you don't come back, like, everΒ again. However, there are some theories on what happens after you die." 'She quirked my curiosity at the words true death.'

'She looked down, hiding her face, I could tell she was struggling to speak.' "When you face a true death, it's said your souls entirely destroyed. Other theories say your reborn without any memories, but I doubt that. It's...it's not something I like to talk about all that often." 'Sore subject then, got it. I'll make sure to avoid talking about that with her.'

'My face turned a bit solemn at her words, even I was offput by her statement.' "That sucks, like, really sucks. I mean, to die and not be reborn? I know being cast down into hell is fair for those who've done some pretty bad shit, but being permanently killed and not being given another chance? That' a little too far, then again...it might have to be done for the greater good."

'Her head snapped up, her eye's open in disbelief.' "For the greater good!? How could dying forever be for the greater good!?" 'She was getting a little louder at this point, gotta calm her down.'

'Raising my hands to show I meant nothing by it, I continued to speak what I meant.' "What I mean is that it might be for the betterment of hell and heaven and earth as well. Say for instances that hell has twenty billions souls, right? Now, what would happen if earth how a staggering amount of ten billion? The planet's economy and condition is already shitty as is, adding so many more people to the planet would be absolutely horrible." 'I Inhaled, catching my breath for a second before continuing.'

"What if there's a chance hell's super overcrowded and earth can't provide for any more humans? Thing's are going to have to be done, either up top or down here." 'I didn't know if hell was an infinite plain of existence, but, seeing there's an economy down here as well, I highly doubted hell could support that many people.'

'Charlie still looked adamant about it being wrong, but, she knew I was right.' "I know that! It's just...it just doesn't sit well with me." 'Mmm, I wish I could comfort her, but, I don't know how to go about doing it.'

'I sighed, running a hand through my burning hair, which felt warm to the touch, but not too hot.' "All I can do is offer the ones who die a true death my condolences. It is a pity they die, but, the saying that life must go on, wasn't just said to be said, it was said with purpose."Β

'Looking around the room, a few of the other's seemed a bit down in the dumps now. Damn it, why did we have to talk about shit like that? Talking about dying, especially permanently, really ruined the mood in here.'

'I clapped my hands together to get all their attention, well, those who seemed a bit lost in thought.' "Death sucks, we all know this. Especially all of you guy's know this. Even I know that death sucks, I've lost loved ones. We've all lost something to death, well, maybe all of us. I can't speak for everyone here, but, I'll just think that we've all lost someone or something precious because of aging or some tragic accident. But, now's not the time to sulk over such a topic. Today, today we just need to chat and get to know one another better." 'It sucked saying that, but, the ending of my little speech was somewhat enlightening.'

'The few who agreed nodded their heads, even though most didn't want to.' "Now, I need to ask how you actually encounter such a thing as a true death." 'I had to know for my safety and ways to prevent it happening to myself and anyone I cared about.'

'That question caused a chain reaction of emotion's, some became a bit fearful, others became angry, and some became sad.' "Angelic steel, a material used to forge weapons for heaven. Some say the weapons are blessed to allow for permanent killing." 'This time it was Vaggie who spoke, she hadn't really talked all that much since I got here.'

'And speaking of Vaggie, she walked over to a nearby wall and picked up what looked like to be a spear.' "This is an angelic weapon. You don't ever want to get harmed by one of these. Even a small cut would take a long time heal. The weapon can cause injuries that'll take much longer to regenerate, and, the greater the damage, the longer the rejuvenation cycle."

'Charlie decided to speak her mind as well.' "There's also those who have powers to permanently kill. Even certain demon's and angels can hold the power to do such a thing. But, it's not all that common to find a demon or angel that can actually do that." 'Hm, bad news all around. Mean's I'll have to be careful even in heaven, especially hell.'

"Yeah, but those angelic fucks, no offense Z, can die as well." 'I turned to Angel who seemed adamant on speaking his part.' "They can die by their own weapon's, which is funny as fuck if you ask me." 'Angel laughed a bit at his own words, hm, guess it is a bit comical.'

'Even Alastor chuckled a bit at Angel's words, hm, I think everyone here, excluding Charlie, like the idea of Angel's dying by their own weapons. But, I find it justifiable if the denizens of hell have to deal with shit like true death.' "But, is getting killed by angelic weapons a common thing?" 'Almost forgot to ask that, oops!'

'Some looked away, hesitant expressions are their faces.' "You guy's must have it rough down here." 'That was just me putting it lightly. Every part of me wanted to just get out of here and curl up into a ball and question my life choices.'

"Rough's an understatement bub, it's a shitshow all around. I may enjoy some good Ol violence from time to time, but I know when enough's enough." 'That was Husker who decided to speak this time, and yes, he's no longer being pet, but that didn't mean I was going to stop holding him like a giant stuffed animal, albeit still small in my eyes.'

'Pity was all I could feel for them. I'm glad I was made into an angel by V, or my life would have really sucked down here in hell. No wonder Charlie wants to give demon's a chance at redemption, because, if I was down here as a demon, I'd most assuredly want to get out of this place as soon as physically possible.'

'Even though all this was being talked about, I didn't feel the least bit affected. Maybe it's because I can deal with such thing's more easily than others? Not that it'd be mentally unhealthy for me to not care, which I do care, but not as much as I should. I wanted to express that I cared for such things, and yet I couldn't. Most demon's down here in hell are here for a reason, so why I would even think of showing some form of compassion to those who did something horrible? The answer is simple, because I have a heart and I'm not blind to my emotions.'

"Well, now the moods definitely ruined in here." 'All I received was silence, which was to be expected. Not like I could blame them, because even I was feeling down in the dumps.'

'A few questions were on my mind, some that might help lighten this suffocating atmosphere in this place.' "What's the name of this hotel? I was never really told what is was." 'Needed to know the name of the place I was planning on supporting of course.'

'Charlie immediately brimmed with excitement, her previous mood all but nulled and locked away.' "It's called the Hazbin Hotel, the place where sinners come for redemption!" 'Was that the slogan or was she just telling me the name of this place and its purpose? Also, didn't I already know the purpose of this place?'

'I raised my eyebrow's at the name, seemed there was some sort of running gag in it.' 'Hazbin? Like as in has-been? Is the name supposed to be a joke or something?" 'Soon as I said that, everyone's head turned towards Alastor.'
