-Clap! Clap!

After the cheerful and happy verse was sung out loud. Silence then started to fill the room. It might've been because I stopped singing but it felt a bit depressing.

I stared at the pictures of my parents inside the frame placed on the table.

It was beside the cake I ordered a block away from here. Flavored with sweet mango, it was my favorite if I say so myself.

It was my birthday and I was all alone inside the house my father bought for our family.

The only things that are keeping me company as of this moment are the pictures of my parents that were taken 2 years ago before they passed away.

Glancing at the pictures, My eyes started to get wet after a while but no tears were dropped as I quickly shook my head and smiled.

Today was my birthday, An anniversary of the time my mother gave birth to me. Crying will just make this already sad birthday sadder.

A birthday is supposed to be a happy and cheerful event and I don't like making the mood weird.

The flame on the lit candle that stood atop the cake swayed as I tried to think of a wish that has no chance of happening.

'Now that I'm 18. What random wish should I think of this time.'

I knew my birthday wishes were not gonna come true anyways because of what happened two years ago when I wished for my parents to be alive again but that wish didn't come true as well as the wish that I wished for last year that I will become a Trillionaire.

Maybe because it was too unrealistic that those wishes didn't come true but that's why I am wishing. Because it is unrealistic.

Who would want to wish for a dollar for their birthday? In this house, we only wish for those big boys up there.

"Hmm... Maybe something from fiction? not something from this boring world."

Maybe it's because I didn't like the earth I'm in but I really wanted to be inside a world filled with magic and swords, Where there would be a lot of action, drama, comedy, and harem.

Harem? ew.

I like unrealistic things but a harem is for sure not one of them. I wonder what is in the heads of those women who share the same guy. Poor guy as well, Imagine having 3 or more women shouting at you. Now that would be annoying.

Although now that I think about it... I would probably just die instantly if I were to be transported in a place like that where dragons and monsters are within a kilometer of reach.

Well if I'm gonna die anyway, I would make sure to die after I successfully make a fire lit up in my hand like some sort of wizard.

"How about Naruto? No dragons, small amount of monsters, and the only thing that is dangerous are humans and godlike beings."

It might be a dumb world to go through if you don't want to die you might say but... Yeah, it is pretty dumb now that I think about it.

In Naruto, there were monsters such as tailed beasts that can destroy a village just by gathering chakra into their mouths like some sort of cannon and there are alien colonists who likes world domination for their own benefits.

Nevertheless, I still liked Naruto.

It had many episodes that made me smile and of course, also made me cry.

If an anime can make you cry, That means you watched a good anime that can make you emotionally attached to a fictional character.

Like when Jiraiya died or the time when Asuma died and that girl that died in the blood prison arc. What was her name? was it Ryūzetsu yeah that one. Wait, was that even canon?

'I wish to be reincarnated or transmigrated into Naruto.'

It might sound like a death wish but since it's just a mild joke that will probably never happen it doesn't sound that scary.

-Whoosh

The flame quickly vanished from me blowing wind towards the candle.

If that wish were to come true... I wouldn't know what to do.

And like all birthday parties, I quickly sliced a part of the cake and placed it on my plate.

I might have a sweet tooth and that might be a reason for me liking sweets but that doesn't stop me from devouring this cake in a day.

'And of course.'

Before I accidentally eat all this cake in a day, I cut two slices of cake and placed them on different plates.

I placed them in front of my parent's photos and made sure to get some spoons for them.

They might not be here in reality but I still want to believe that they are here in spirit.

With the room all quiet, I grabbed the remote and turned on the television. I didn't pay attention to any of the things that were shown in the shows but I still liked the noise than complete silence.

And with that, I ate the cake in front of me and made sure to put the leftovers in the fridge so that ants or other bugs come to my food.

As I hit the play button on my phone and placed the earphones on my ears, I lay down on my bed and slowly lowered my body.

It was my birthday however it was pretty stale, having no one with me I was starting to get sleepy.

I yawn and my eyes started to get teary so I decided to close my eyes and fall asleep on my bed while holding my five years old phone.

I could've invited my old classmates from my high school days today but it's been three years since I last saw them and might just get rejected or the event might just get awkward.

My thoughts slowly drift away as my consciousness leaves my body and I slowly fall asleep while listening to music.

Well, I was supposed to fall asleep. Until I smelled something of burnt rubber or metal.

Opening my eyes, I looked around the room to see if my house is burning and thankfully, It was not.

"Ouch!"

I winced with pain as my hands suddenly feel a burning sensation on them.

It was my phone.

It might've been because it was an old phone but it was overheating like a car engine.

I was about to throw my phone away when all of a sudden, I saw my phone explode a second after it flashed brightly.
