CHAPTER 7
* NEXT DAY*
Ring ring
The ringing tone of my phone awoke me. I stretched my hand closer to the lamp stand and grabbed my phone.
"Hey" I answered the call without checking the caller's ID.
"Get your lazy ass dressed we're going for Bernard's birthday shopping" it was Lisa squealing from the other end .
"agrhhhh, can't you just allow me sleep in, it's cold outside" I mumbled.
" I don't care ,I am coming over with Matt, I'll be picking you up in ten minutes"
" Lisa...-" she hung up on me. Classic Lisa
I groaned as I threw the duvet off my body the cold breeze embracing me as I walked into my bathroom. I quickly washed away the morning breathe from my mouth then I dried blow my hair and took a warm bath. After I was satisfied I walked out of the bathroom and to my closet to get dressed.
I threw on a black denim pants, a white loosed shirt and a grey woolen coat that stopped at my knees, I brush my hair down and put on a cream beanie, I did a simple makeup that was just nude champstick and mascara. when I looked at my reflection in my dressing mirror I was good to go. I grab my brown cross neck bag that was hanging on my bag stand and a grey scarf which I hung round my neck.
I walked to the kitchen to prepare a simple breakfast for my self since I still have time before Lisa shows up, maybe cheerios will do.
The aroma of burnt pancake mix with soured milk filled my nostril as I stepped into the kitchen. It was Caroline, she is obviously trying to make pancake. I walked pass her to do pantry and grab a carton of cheerios and walked pass her again to grab a carton of milk from the fridge.
"can't you say hi" she yelled "can't you try and at least act like you care, you see my trying to make pancake"
"I don't know how to act what I don't feel, if I should be you knowing myself that all I can do is watch TV, go out with friends and bake my face I should have just ordered for food " I rolled my eyes, grabbing a clean glass bowl and a spoon
"arghhhhh, I'm your sister "
"I didnt grow up with one, the last time I checked I was an only child, I grew up thinking it would always be me and my dad " I fake a smile and shoved a mouthful of cheerios in my mouth. I actually grew up thinking my mum would come back home and we would be the perfect trio again, call me immature but it's the truth
"why do you so hate me, what did I ever do to you? " she cried making me sigh. In actual sense she did nothing to me but I just can't help it
"caro-" my phone buzzed in my pocket and I said a silent thank you to whoever it was because I honestly didn't know what to say to her "excuse me please "
"I'm outside " Lisa said from the other end
"okay" I hung up "I got to go see you when I'm back, do you need money to order something to eat? " I asked, I was sincerely concern, she did nothing to me .
"I'm fine " she mumbled
"how about dad and your mom" I asked
"out together "
I sigh.

"hey" I said as I plopped my ass in the passenger seat at the back. yeah Matt came along and he was the one driving with Lisa at the passenger seat in front
"you look beautiful " Matt winked at me before spreading off
"she's my best friend dude" Lisa glared at him, yanking his arm
"what's going on between you two, like for real? " I asked, they have become just too cheesy
"I have a list for what we have to buy, here" Lisa handed me a paper. seriously why the change of topic
"you two keep leaving me in the dark, bitches" I muttered taking the paper from her and reading it out "Black and white Balloons, gold ribbon, candles, chocolates, seriously a dress?, what do we need it for?"
"is there a time you don't ask questions " she rolled her eyes "bills on me "
The car came to an halt in front of 'Lilac' a popular shopping mall. We all shared the list among ourselves to save time and planned to meet at the Pizza Hut after which we would go together to shop for our dress.
After we were done with shopping and paid for what we bought, we were so tired, hungry and exhausted so we decided to eat lunch at McDonald.
" you two get a table and order I need to use the restroom " I said
"what are you ordering?" Matt asked while Lisa simply roll her eyes
" two burgers, a mega cock and chicken fries" I said waving them off
It took me quite some time finding in the toilet and when I found I bumped into a guy as I was in a hurry to use the restroom.
"I'm really sorry " I said running into the restroom. I quickly do my business and wash my hands "shit, my phone fell from me" I cussed under my breath
"hey you left your phone " the guy who I had bumped into earlier, said to me as I walked at of the restroom
"Thanks " I said taking my phone from him, luckily there wasn't a crack
"Samantha!" he gasped
"Andrew" I muttered
" I'm so happy to see you after 4yrs, I searched everywhere for you" he smiled at me "why don't we sit and catch up" his smile reaching his eyes. He didn't change much over these past years, he only grew taller and more masculine, he was still looking hot what had attracted him to me at first l, still had brown hair, a tattoo on his neck-
"we have nothing to talk about besides I'm here with my friends, so back off " I said bluntly
"look, what happened was a mistake I swear"
"yeah I believe you" I fake a laugh "fucking my cousins after fucking me was a mistake "
"sammy" he said softly
"Don't ever call me that again, 4yrs ago I made it clear that I don't ever want to see you again and I m saying it again I don't ever want to see you, have a nice time " I said and walked away
I sigh as I rest my back on the cold wall and I wipe away the tears that had escaped from my eyes. Andrew is my Ex and my first love but he screwed up big time. it still hurts that I losed my virginity to him, I was really stupid to think what we had was love like fuck love, it doesn't exist , I had planned to keep myself till my wedding night but Andrew had made empty promises which I foolishly believe, he said he loves me and would never leave me, he said I was his only source of joy only for me to walk into his apartment the next day, with a box of pancake I had made specially for him and hear moans, at first I thought he was playing with himself because I have walked in and met him like that several times but then I realized he was with a girl, of all girls it had to be my cousin Jessica. so you can tell the story from there, I broke up with him and left for California...
The ringing tone of my phone snapped me out of my thoughts. I pulled out my phone and its was Lisa. just perfect
"where in hell are you? " she yelled through the phone "are you in labour!, you have been gone for over thirty minutes "
"I will be there in five minutes, I have some girls issues" I lied hoping she would buy it
"you better hurry " she hung up
I wipe my tears with the back of my palm before walking to the table where Matt and Lisa were seated.
