23 Potion

Rose pov

We parted our way and Selina came to our room.

"Selina How is Professor Snape?" I asked because tomorrow was our potion.

"Professor Snape?" Selina was confused not knowing why Rose was asking about Professor Snape.

"Yes, tomorrow is our First potion class so I want to know about his nature because I heard from others that he is very.., You know what I'm saying.." Rose finished not knowing how to present it.

"Biased."Selina finished

"Yeah" Rose awkwardly replied

"You Don't have to worry about him just do your best in potions and you will be fine. He normally wouldn't criticize Slytherins." She reassured Rose.

"Yea you're right. I am worrying about nothing" I said half heartedly because as we all were eating food in the great hall, once I looked at

Professor Snape table where he is talking to Professor Quirrell then I felt a sting in my scar.

Maybe I am worrying about nothing, he is Professor after all, was selected by Dumbledore.

But I should probably ask Nigel about stinging

sensation, he would know'. Rose thought as she slept.

Scene change:-

"There would be no foolish wand moving or silly incantation As such I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is portion making." Came professor Snape's voice as he entered the classroom and made his way towards the stage.

"I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and snare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death." He concluded after getting on stage.

"Today you will be learning how to brew 'cure for boils'. Take out your quills and parchment and start Noting down the process."

He said and students followed his words by taking out quill and parchment.

"1. Begin by adding crushed snake fangs into your cauldron. Stir the mixture well.

2. Proceed to slice your Pungous Onions finely and place them into the cauldron. Then, gently heat the mixture.

3. Following that, add the dried nettles into the cauldron.

4. Now, it's time to incorporate a dash of Flobberworm Mucus. Make sure to stir vigorously.

5. Next, sprinkle some powdered ginger root into the mixture and stir vigorously once more.

6. After that, carefully add the pickled Shrake spines into the cauldron.

7. Remember to stir the mixture gently to avoid overexciting the Shrake spines.

8. Add a glug of stewed horned slugs to the brew.

9. Then, don't forget to add the porcupine quills into the mix.

10. Finally, wave your wand over the cauldron to complete the potion."

"Now comes the important part. You probably should observe carefully, accidents are quite common if you don't take note of every detail." Professor Snape warned us in threatening voice.

'Potion is one of subjects that I haven't prepared for and single mistake from stiring numbers to movement direction matters. Nigel thought as he carefully observed as Professor Snape brew potion.

"I assume, you properly observed because if you didn't then you have to go through painful recovery after your failed attempts in brewing." Professor Snape threatened

"Yeah I was worrying for nothing" Rose mutters sarcastically.

"Now you should probably choose a partner for brewing" Professor Snape instructed in gruff voice.

Scene change

All students had chosen their partners for potion.

Nigel and Rose, Draco and Selina, Daphne and Tracy, Ron and Nevil,.....

They all chose a platform which consists of a stove and basin and several other Ingredients.

Professor Snape started observing each individual one by one as students started brewing potions. While making an ugly face making them scared.

One who sees the scene wouldn't be able to tell what they are scared most making mistakes in brewing potion or Professor Snape.

Professor Snape came in front of Draco and Selina table, nods his head while observing their potion. Draco seeing this has a smug smile on his face while Selina was relieved.

Then he came in front of Nigel and Rose table, he observed both then looked at Potion and gave them a nods before leaving for observing others promoting sigh of relief from both.

As he was observing others, the attention of students shifted to Neville who was covered in boils while the Couldron was melted.

Professor Snape quickly came and flicked his wand vanishing the potions who were flowing,

"Idiot boy! I suppose you added the porcupine quills before taking the cauldron off the fire?"

Professor Snape breaded Neville and turned towards Ron and Said

"Take him to Madam Pomfrey,"

Ron follwed the order and proceed to take Neville to Madam Pomfrey.

'I guess he really hates James Potter. In series he wouldn't miss a chance to criticize Harry but here thanks to the looks of Rose being similar to Lily he doesn't.' Nigel concluded.

And class continue

At the end of class every student sumbits their potion in a vile.

Scene change

"That was tense" Rose commented

"I agree" Nigel said agreeing.

"Well I suppose it was compared to others," Selina also agreed.

Hey Readers,

I suppose you are fine and I am sorry for this late update and also for a short chapter.

This month has a lot of exams and some festival so I was busy there.

If you're from India you will know how JEE Mains was held and next month JEE advance with some other exam.

I will be continue from tomorrow but It will sometimes be late.

By the way how do you want I should give details of every thing or keep it brief. I was voting to keep it brief because smaller details you have already seen it, but I will give a detailed version of things I will add.

And Hey I am working on a new What if fanfiction it was from black clover which I recently saw after my exam and It was mind blowing. I already completed 4 chapters but you could choose if you want harem or not. I was personally going for 2 girls but you could decide.
