She wants to get her son back and make up for all the bad things she did for him. She knew the moment she agreed to the ritual she lost her right as a mother on him, but Lily and James wants to make up for all this loss and wants their son back although they knew it's not that simple.

Lily and James heard footsteps and rubbed the tears away from their faces. They greeted harry with a smile and started to spend some time with him.
