22 Ch 22: Transfiguration (I)

McGonagall was extremely angry at students being late at very first class of the school. She even suggested turning Ron or Harry into a pocket watch, so that one of them could at least be on time.

Harry said timidly "We got lost"

McGonagall was not happy with the excuse and said "Then perhaps a map would be better. I trust you don't need one to find your seats!"

Both Harry and Ron ran to their seats, and sat quietly. Draco, who saw no surprise on Lorion's face asked curiously "Did you know that the cat was the Professor?"

Lorion calmly nodded his head and explained "This magic is known as Animagus transformation. She is one of the few registered Animagus experts in our world. You can read about her in the book History of Hogwarts."

Draco really felt now that he should increase his knowledge. Or else he would lose his face before his junior brother.

McGonagall stood behind the teacher's table and started the class with a stern face. "Before starting the class, I want to remind you that... Transfiguration is arguably one of the most complex and dangerous spells you will learn in Hogwarts. Whoever wants to be in my class should note that if you are mischievous, you must get out immediately and never come back!"

Professor McGonagall waved his staff and turned the book in front of her into a pigeon. Amid the exclamation of many little wizards, she again changed the book back.

Lorion sat in the front position, seeing the whole process of transformation clearly.

Accurate, fast, flawless...

Being able to transform a book into a creature with consciousness is tantamount to directly changing the structure of matter, and even temporarily endowing the dead with intelligence. The mystery and power of magic are undoubtedly revealed at this moment.

Professor McGonagall's demonstration immediately aroused the interest of the little wizards. After explaining the methods and techniques for the release of the Transfiguration, she distributed a match to each of the students. The goal was to turn the stick into a silver needle.

Professor McGonagall kept explaining the thinks to keep in mind while trying transfiguration. Finally, at the end of her lecture, she encouraged the little wizards to try the spell themselves. Lorion hold his wand and tried it just like other students. "Acusignis"

To his surprise, transfiguration seemed too easy for him. It was as if there was an instinct in him, guiding him, and he would never fail in transfiguration. Professor McGonagall, who was closely monitoring the young wizards, was shocked herself!

She took a moment to regain her wits, and shouted in a little excitement "Excellent Mr Gaunt. Ten points to Slytherin!"
