-----------------------------------

Anyway, after finally using the Lumos spell using wandless magic, Max did not stop and continued to research more and more. He first searched for the variations in the books to see if any variation was the same that he managed to deduct himself. And it seemed that Max discovered Lumos Solem spell by himself. It was not that difficult since he wanted to imitate the sun's light, and he only had to add the sun to the property adding. But the other variation Max made was not in the books in front of him. He did not know if the others did not see it or there were some better spells that did the same thing.

"Uncle Carl, what do you think about this one? Instead of using a single-point white light, I decided to go for the opposite concept but producing dark light to reflect the light of my body to disappear. How can no one think of this one?" Max turned to Carl to ask about this one after thinking about this matter. He knew that the others should have thought of something like that since he was new to this magic thing.

"I did not hear about it before, but if all it could do is hide you, then it is quite useless. There are others that could do the same. Plus, you did not think of hiding the spell and sound. I had to admit that coming up with this idea is good, but you have to think of how much magic it consumes and the time it needed to be cast and many other factors," Carl said with a surprised expression on his face as he looked at Max. He did not expect his nephew to be quite brilliant and think of something like that out of the simplest spell. But Carl was not ready to complement him and admit defeat.

Max did not care about his words and turned around to research more and more. He planned to use these years carefully before going out to search for a home for himself. Max did not want any professor from Hogwarts to come and look for him. He was sure that he could find something useful in this magic to charm a couple to take care of him for the time being.

And just like that, the half-year passed, and Max's ninth birthday was around the corner. And as he spent that much time reading about how important one's birthday, especially someone like him, Max decided to go on with the plan that he figured in this half-year. Most of the basic spell that the first, second, and third years at school could do, he succeeded in using most of them. And not only that, but his progress in wandless magic was noticeable. Max did not stop at that but tried nonverbal magic since he knew that the opponent would figure how to defend himself if he shouted the spell name loudly.

"It is finally the right time, huh," Max said those words as he looked around him to check the time. Among the different books that Max read in the past half years, he found a particular book among Carl's things that got his attention. The book seemed to be related to someone known as Herpo The Foul from ancient Greece. Max did not know if Herpo was the one that wrote that book or not, but he found one of his quotas inside that book. The book's name was the life and death rituals.

And the name suggested it was a book filled with all kinds of rituals. But only one of those got Max's attention because of how powerful it was and how no one succeeded in coming out alive after trying to use those rituals. Even Herpo The Foul, the one considered one of the best in the past, said that these rituals were for the fools that were not afraid of death. He even advised the other dark wizards to stay away from this one. He knew for sure that anyone that was afraid of death would die because of it. And there was no one afraid of death like the dark wizards. Even he, himself, did not dare to go through those rituals, although he knew how much power he would get.

"What do you think, uncle Carl? Aren't you happy that you will get your freedom soon? I thought you would be happy at this point after getting rid of that chair you are sitting on," Max said with a smile as he looked at his uncle, who was shaking in his chair with tears all over his face after seeing the knife in Max's hands. The more he looked at Max, the more he regretted the day he came to find this boy. When Max studied the basic spells in the past half-year, Carl got cocky, and his behavior changed. He was not afraid of Max anymore. He thought that Max would always need him, and he would not dare to kill him unless he did not want a teacher to help him in whatever he wanted to learn. But unfortunately for Carl, everything changed in the past few weeks, turning his life into hell.

After finding these rituals, Carl did not know why Max seemed so intrigued by them that he spent a whole week just reading these ones over and over again without resting at all. But because Carl knew clearly what the ingredients for these rituals were, he was afraid for weeks because he thought Max would kill him in order to perform those rituals. But after Max turned to the other books, Carl sighed in relief as he believed that everything was over, and he would return to his smug face. But Max did not change his mind at all. Max only wanted to research more before doing anything.

"Don't worry, uncle Carl. You won't die alone in this place. You are only one of the ingredients, or your heart is at least. The heart of the one that hurt you the most is the descriptions of your part. The other three ingredients are the heart of the one that once cared about you, the limbs of the one that once abandoned you, and the eyes of the one that once defended you. Wonderful, is not it? The rituals are based on emotions and would do great things if everything was in its place," Max said as he looked at the four people around him with a smile on his face. On the ground, a heptagram was drawn, and four chairs were placed at four tips of it. Sitting on them were four people that were tied strongly, and they could not even struggle.

"Oh, Sister Luna, Sister Ruby, I am sorry to see you two in this state, but you have a vital role in these rituals, and I could not find anyone to replace you. You see, I wanted to complete these rituals at whatever cost, and you should be proud to be a part of it, a part of me," Max said as he came closer to the two sisters from the Grace orphanage that cared about him when he was only a baby. Max did not want to kill them at first and thought to preserve those two until the end. But he could not find another match for the ingredients required for this ritual. "I know you are disappointed and afraid, but you should accept your death. If you do that, you will find yourself relieved from all the fear."

The two sisters' bodies trembled after seeing Max's look. His words did not help either because they were devoid of emotions in their eyes. They were only matrons in that orphanage, and they did not do anything wrong in their life. They did not know why God was treating them like that. They were only staying at the orphanage when Max found them and used magic to paralyze them and take them back to this house, where he would perform the rituals. They did not know what was happening until this moment. But their eyes had some guilt and regret because they thought that this boy turned like this because he got transferred to a bad place that day.

"Mr.Hart, it is a pleasure to see you again," Max said with a smile as he turned to the last one of the four, the one that left him in Rocco's hand nine years ago. Tom was like the others at this point, but he pissed and shit himself earlier, and the smell was enough to make everyone avoid him.

"We don't have the time for more talking. Let's start. I have to catch the exact time, or something else might happen. Okay, here is the dragon's heart, the phoenix's feather, and the Wampus cat's eyes," Max said those words, and he placed the other ingredients at the other tips of the heptagram with a smile on his face. "You don't know how grateful I am for you, uncle. If it weren't for you, I would have never managed to get those things even in ten years. I don't believe that you left those ingredients to rot in your trunk. According to what I read, the phoenix's feather and the Wampus cat's eyes are nearly impossible to get. You save me decades of hard work. I thank you sincerely this time."

Max said those words as he bowed a little to his uncle, Carl. Max really admired Carl for providing everything he needed. "You may wonder why I left you all alive until this moment. The reason is simple, actually. According to the book, the fresher the ingredients are, the better the chances of succeeding. And since I could not get my hands on the fresh dragon's heart and the same for the rest, I decided to use your parts only before starting to achieve that, at least. So thank you for waiting all this time. Let's not waste any more time and start right away."

Max did not stop after saying those words, but he began his operation with Mr.Hart. He started by cutting his hands and legs and putting them in their required locations before killing him with a knife in his heart. After doing that, he turned to the two sisters, who were trembling with fear in their eyes after seeing what happened to Mr.Hart. But Max did not give them the time to think of anything before using the knife to take out the heart of sister Ruby and placing it in the perfect location. Before long, he did the same to sister Luna, but he took her eyes instead before taking her heart as well. Although Max did not need Luna's heart at this point, Max decided to take it out so that sister Luna could meet her friend. He could not let the two friends part in their deaths.

In the end, only Carl remained alive at this point, and he could not hold it any longer. He was a prisoner in this chair for half a year, and he could not believe that his end would come that fast. "It is time to say our goodbyes, uncle. I hope that your life was worth it," Max said those words before using the knife to open Carl's chest and taking his heart out, and placing it in the perfect location.

After Carl's death, nearly everyone that Max saw in this life was dead at this time. Only the healer and her student at the hospital were the ones that did not die until this moment.

Anyway, after killing the four, Max turned to see the time, and he could feel it. It was coming!!! And he had to hurry if he wanted to catch the right moment. He had to put the knife he killed everyone with; in his heart at the exact moment; he was born. Yeah, it was suicide if you see it from your perspective. But according to Herpo The Foul, only those who were not really afraid of death and understood its meaning would live after that. That was why no one managed to survive until this moment.

"I better be right, or it's a goodbye for me as well," Max said before taking a long breath and putting the knife in his heart in the seventh second of the seventh minute of the seventh hour. Before long, Max lost consciousness, and the heptagram started emitting a white light indicating that it started working.
