6 The Honey Badger

In the training room of House Creed, Atreus was meditating with his wand and guns on his lap. Suddenly he opened his eyes, and his brown eyes glowed a little. Releasing a breath, he looked at his weapons. Creasing them, he started to think back to the time his life started to take a turn. 'Two months have passed since Prof. McGonagall came to the orphanage and took me to the Diagon Alley with the Grangers. I was introduced to Magic, I got my first wand and even first magical books. I also found out that my parents didn't abandon me, but were killed by the Death Eaters, who serve the Dark Lord Voldemort. Prof. McGonagall has only spoken about Death Eaters, but with the help of investigation done by Kirby, I got to know who they worked for and how the Dark Lord has died too. Which I find sceptical, because anything is possible with magic right? So there might be a way for him to survive.' Taking a deep breath he continued his thoughts 'I did think about vengeance and all, but if I let those dictate my life I will crumble along the way and I don't want that at all.' Releasing the breath slowly, he continued his thoughts 'Anyway, as I have decided to become Animagus, an illegal one as I won't be registering with the Ministry, I mean why should I? It will only be problematic if I get caught, so I should not get caught in any way or form. Because of that I have successfully mastered the beginner stage of Occlumency, I can easily hide specific information I want from mind reading wizards. I did learn about Legilimency, so I could know when someone is trying to intrude into my mind. But I promised myself that I won't look into anyone's mind, and try to play God. Well I will look into their minds if and only if the situation requires it to. Hope it won't happen.'

Taking the guns and holstering them, he took his wand and said "Lumos."

A bright light formed at the end of his black wand. "Nox." As soon as he said the spell, the light dissipated.

Standing up, Atreus stretched for a bit and said to himself "There's only one month until I attend Hogwarts. I need to become Animagus before that. I just hope Kirby will be able to find the electrical storm before that."

Moving out of the training room he went to the Magi-Craft room. Taking the wand that was placed on a pedestal over the table, he muttered "You miss my dad huh?" The wand quivered for a moment as if agreeing with his question. Creasing it, Atreus continued "I miss them too, even if I have no memories of them, except for the memory of them hiding me."

Sighing, he placed it back on the pedestal, and opened the shelf of the table to take a book from it, which was named "My Views On Wand Making - Eridanus Creed"

Chuckling at the name, he opened the book and started to read it from where he left the previous day.

For the next hour, he kept on reading the book so that he could make a new wand that would work as a secondary wand for him.

As soon as an hour passed, Kirby arrived with a pop. *POP*

"Littlest Master! Sparkling Storm found!" Kirby said in excitement.

Nodding at him, Atreus placed the book back on the shelf and told Kirby "Let me get the Potion first."

He left the Magi-Craft room and went to the Potions room where he had left the Animagus Potion. Taking it, Atreus signalled Kirby and Kirby took hold of Atreus and apparated away from the room to the backyard of the house where Kirby had placed protection wards to safeguard Atreus.

As soon as they reached there, Atreus told Kirby "Protect me."

Kirby nodded at him in affirmation.

Closing his eyes and placing his wand tip over his heart, he recited the spell that he has been chanting every morning without a break for this day "Amato Animo Animato Animagus"

After chanting, he uncroked the bottle and drank the Animagus Potion in it.

*Gulp*

After he gulped down the potion, his body started to change. His height started to reduced and he was on all fours, his face started to elongate into a snout, he became a stocky, flattened body with short, strong legs, along with long claws on the front feet for digging and defence. His hair got thick and coarse, mostly black, with a wide grey-white stripe that stretched across its back from the top of the head to the tip of the tail.

Blinking his brown eyes, he looked around 'So I'm almost thirty centimetres tall on all fours.' Looking at his paws 'Cool, I got claws that can harm my targets.'

A few minutes of observation of his body, Atreus concluded 'So I am a Honey Badger, just like the visions I have been having for the last month. So that was my inner animal, huh. Alright, that's enough observation, let me try and see if I can turn back into human form with my wand.'

As soon as he willed himself to transform back into human, he transformed back into human. Smiling he willed himself to turn into honey badger and he turned into a honey badger. He repeated the process for some time and muttered to himself "I think I have talent in becoming Animagus."

Smiling at that, he picked up his wand and told Kirby "Kirby, I will call you when I turn into my animal form from now on, so that you could take my wand and keep it safe."

"Yes, Littlest Master! Kirby will keep the wand safe." Kirby agreed with him.

Nodding at Kirby, Atreus continued "We will visit Diagon Alley tomorrow, and from day after tomorrow onwards I'll be staying in the orphanage, and when night time comes we will switch."

"Okay."

"Good." Saying so he went back into his house with Kirby right behind him. Entering the house he went to his room first and told Kirby "Kirby, let's make Pizza, shall we?"

"Pizza! Soda?" Kirby asked excitedly.

"Yeah, let's get soda too. How about French Fries?" Atreus asked Kirby.

"Fries! Mayo or ketchup?" Kirby asked back.

"Let's make mayo." Atreus said.

"Kirby will get soda." Saying that, Kirby apparated away with a pop. *POP*

"I'll have to find a way to make his apparition soundless." Muttering to himself, Atreus changed his clothes and went to the kitchen to make pizza, French fries and mayo.
