4 Years Passed

One year has passed and Pro had already gotten used to his new life. A year was enough to dispel most of his parents' worries and gain himself much more freedom from before.

After showcasing his not so frail body, he finally managed to persuade his parents to allow him to participate in physical exercise. Pro may be one of the lazy people that would avoid exercise in his past life, but he knew that he needed the exercise at a young age in order to grow up with a healthy body.

Participating in the physical education which basically consisted of just playing around most of the time, Pro finally had the chance to test out his run energy. It was then he discovered the amazing effects it had. Whenever he uses his run energy, he will not feel any exhaustion from running!

Of course, the run energy will drain fairly quickly and it was only enough for around 10 seconds of sprinting. So, he can't run miles without stopping; however, even if the run energy is gone, he is still able to run, but at the cost of his own pitiful stamina.

As run energy only recovers when he walks or stand still, Pro knew that the run energy can only support him for short distance sprints. Long distance will still have to rely on his own effort, and run energy will at most serve as an auxiliary boost for a final sprint towards the goal or something similar. Fortunately, he is still a child in primary school and physical education doesn't have those tough 3 mile runs that he had to do in his previous life's secondary school.

In the midst of playing around in the playground, Pro also managed to unlock the Agility skill. This skill provided him with faster energy restore rate, and he could actually gain exp for this skill by completing an obstacle course that traversed through the playground. So, Pro could be found grinding the obstacle course in the playground during playtime, sometimes with a trail of kids trying to follow him for some odd reason.

With his handsome looks and amazing performance while playing around, Pro attracted a group of annoying butterflies. To be more precise, it's a group of loli, underage girls that barely understood what puppy love is. Of course, Pro didn't reciprocate any of these childish feelings, especially since he knew they lived in different worlds.

During his nine year old birthday, Pro finally performed his magic trick of making things disappear with his inventory, intending to fake it as the vanishing spell. His parents were shocked at first but they calmed down fairly quickly as if they had expected it. Then, Pro watched his two parents secretly discuss on what to do whilst not telling him anything.

After that, mommy Beatrice worried and fussed over Pro for weeks as if she was afraid that he would leave her side. Pro also heard the muffled arguments between his parents at night. It wasn't until school started again before his parents finally came to the decision to tell him about the other side of this world.

As expected, both of his parents were part of the wizarding world, and this world was confirmed to be the Harry Potter world. His parents were graduates of Hogwarts, but they were only normal graduates. They didn't have any amazing achievements because their magical power weren't too strong.

Although they didn't tell Pro much regarding the magical world and the reason why they decided to retire to the Muggle world, Pro was able to piece together some information with some of the questions he asked.

Both of his parents were wizards coming from the Muggle world. His grandparents, that he rarely had contact with, were Muggles and the rest of the family tree of both sides was also Muggles. After joining the wizarding world, his parents had decreased contact with their respective families. This was due to the raging war of the wizarding world, when all wizards lived in fear of the dark lord.

His parents didn't tell him this much, but Pro was able to guess that it was Mr. Voldemort running wild. Pro also knew that his parents probably had a tough time surviving as Muggle wizards were a main target for the death eaters.

Pro was also able to guess that a death eater probably harmed his mother in some way, which led to the couple retiring from the wizarding world and also resulting in the previous owner's frail body. However, Pro's parents refused to tell him anything regarding this.

In fact, mommy Beatrice actually didn't want Pro to join the wizarding world at all. She actually wished that Pro would live a comfortable life as a Muggle, and never having to worry about the dangers of the wizarding world. Although she knew that the dark lord has fallen, she still didn't want her child to go back to that dangerous world if it was unnecessary.

On the other hand, daddy Joseph was proud that his son had wizard blood in him. Although he was also worried about his son, Joseph believed that it would be best if his son would grow strong enough to protect himself. Since his son can join the wizarding world, Joseph wanted to support him.

Hence, daddy Joseph had been arguing with mommy Beatrice for over a month over this issue. Daddy Joseph finally managed to persuade his wife and they finally decided to reveal a part of the truth to Pro. They also showed Pro some magic tricks using their wands that they had hidden away in a safe, but mommy Beatrice refused to allow Pro to play with the wand until he grows up.

From that moment on, the mundane, normal life of Pro's changed into a more magical one. Once his parents decided to support their son, it was like opening pandora's box. His father actually resigned from his Muggle job and through some connections with his old wizard friends, he acquired a job in the Muggle Liaison Office in the British Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.

On the other hand, his mother continued to stay home as a housewife, but the house became a bit more magical than before. Regaining the power of her wand, mommy Beatrice happily did chores with magic. Now, Pro would wake up everyday to a magical house with floating objects, animated photos in newspaper, a new pet owl named Hoots, occasionally malfunctioning electrical appliances, and non-messy hair with a flick of mommy Beatrice's wand. Of course, his father would still mess it up before dropping him off.

Even though his house was a bit magical, when he stepped out of it, Pro had returned to the mundane, Muggle world. Although some things could be changed, being a child that needed to go to school did not.

Even though Pro experienced the magical world, he did not unlock any magic skill as he hoped. Perhaps he will need to use a wand before he could do so, or maybe he might actually not even have the magical talent.

However, Pro didn't worry. He believed that even if he didn't have a true magical talent, he could probably find a way with his system. Even if he had no magic, he could train to be invincible with his other skills.

Through multiple tests in his home's backyard, Pro finally managed to gain some exp for his strength skill through killing ants with a punch. Well, with his small fists and weak damage, ants were basically all he could kill.

It only took 1 damage to kill them, but it still required Pro to kill with a punch. Stepping on the ants or crushing them with his hands will not give any exp. He will also only gain exp for one ant even if he kills multiple at the same time.

Besides finally finding a way to gain exp, Pro also managed to discover some new restrictions on his inventory. He learned that he could store small plants in his inventory, but not middle-sized ones. Plants growing on the ground also can't be picked up unless they were dug out.

With the exception of plants, Pro can't store any living organism, no matter how small they are. Even if it is an ant, Pro can't store it until he had smashed it to death. Well, Pro didn't mind too much as it was a normal restriction to have for most spatial storage in novels.

Then, there was the extra life skill that Pro had finally unlocked, Cooking. It was the only life skill he was able to unlock because it was the only life skill that he could convince mommy Beatrice to let him help out in. Of course, most of the time he would just burn the food. Mommy Beatrice was amazed how he could successfully cook a dish sometimes while magically burning the food black other times.

As for getting a bow for shooting or an axe for chopping trees, both his parents refused to allow him to have those even though they spoiled him. No dangerous tools allowed. Even cooking required supervision.

Pro barely managed to persuade them to allow him to get those items after his 11th birthday with the reason that no weapon can be more dangerous than a wand. Well, the exception to this was guns, but Pro won't mention this, but he is planning to get one himself in the future.

With his future set, the repetitive cycle of life drove down the road of time like wheels on a bus. Two more years swiftly flew by as Pro healthily grew into a handsome, young man. Although his face was still a bit childish, he could already see the chiseled outline that began to show on his 11 year old self.

With two years of grinding, cooking was raised to level 10, which allowed Pro to successfully cook easy dishes like fried eggs, pancakes, etc. without burning them. Agility only went up to level 6 due to the limited grinding time at school, but Pro was content.

Pro has also managed to raise his strength to level 30, his attack to level 28, and his block to level 20. His hitpoints has also risen to 27, and his total combat level is now 30. Pro had expected he would raise his stats to a higher level, but he realized how difficult it was to do so in real life.

Besides the fact that he is limited to grind one target at a time, he was also restricted by his own stamina and other events that took up his time. Hence, he didn't even get close to maxing out his stats, but he still has strength beyond what a child could have at this age now!

Through his tests, Pro discovered that the strength stat doesn't actually increase his power. Instead, it is more like a damage multiplier that raises the upper limit of the damage he could deal with his current strength.

So, even if he raised his strength, the true damage from hitting a 1 is still the same as when he did not have a system, but if he strikes a hit higher than 1, then it meant more damage! So, he still has the same strength as a growing child, but he could strike with power over his own limit and his damage will get even higher as his strength grows naturally!

With a strength level of 30, one of his punches can hit up to 4 times the power of his current natural body strength. Of course, this is not always the case. 4 times the damage is the max hit possible under the condition that he throws a perfect punch that strikes the perfect spot on the target. Most of his punches still do 1 to 2 damage, and he rarely hit 3 let alone 4.

Of course, if he hits something hard like a wall, even with the damage multiplier, his hits usually end up with zero damage. Perhaps he will only be able to apply the multiplier to damage hard obstacles when his natural strength grows strong enough to damage the obstacles or if he gets a melee weapon that can allow him to do so.

On the other hand, raising his attack helped him land more punches accurately. As his attack went up, it felt like there was a fighting instinct that was slowly instilled into his brain, allowing him to throw stronger punches against his targets at a higher rate.

Unlike in the game, hitting a zero is much more rare, especially when facing a stationary target. So, besides increasing his accuracy, Pro felt that the attack level also raises his chance of striking a more perfect hit, which leads to a higher damage multiplier.

Similarly to attack, block instilled Pro with the instinct to dodge attacks. However, Pro didn't have any useful ways to test this at the moment. Even though defense does not help against magic attacks in the game, maybe it could be useful in dodging spells of the Harry Potter world in the future.

After all, reality is different from a game and not all spells in Harry Potter home in on its target like R*nescape spells do. Hence, they could be treated as projectiles and perhaps defense would help him dodge them.

Pro also got his bow and axe that he wanted on his 11th birthday. He managed to unlock his ranged and woodcutting skills, but he didn't have much time to grind them because he finally received what he was waiting for, the Hogwarts letter of acceptance.
