118 The Sanguine experience pt2

*Narrator pov*

The pale divination professor walked forward heading across past the gargoyles not paying them any mind. As soon as his foot passed the statues a blurry figure appeared out of nowhere, "They are awaiting you," the vampire spoke in a whisper as he bowed slightly

Morpheus nodded not replying as he followed the attendant. Once inside the castle, a chilling atmosphere enveloped Morpheus, as they enter the halls adorned with opulent yet macabre decor. Candlelit cast flickering shadows along the cold, stone floors, creating an eerie dance of light and darkness.

The interior of the castle boasted a hauntingly regal aesthetic. Dark tapestries, woven with intricate patterns depicting scenes of vampiric lineage and conquests, line the walls. The air was thick with an otherworldly scent, a mix of ancient parchment and the faintest hint of blood.

Sinister statues, carved from black marble, stand as silent sentinels along the corridors. Each one depicts vampiric nobility in various states of regality, frozen in poses both elegant and haunting. Their eyes, rendered in onyx, seem to pierce through the darkness, watching as Morpheus was led through the unsettling halls.

Chambers off the main corridor reveal gruesome yet captivating artwork. Paintings depict scenes of vampiric feasts, battles, and dark rituals, all executed with masterful skill. The juxtaposition of beauty and horror in the artwork creates an unsettling allure, capturing the essence of the castle's creepy royalty.

The throne room, at the heart of the castle, exudes an air of regal malevolence, with a colossal stained glass window depicting vampiric symbols and a spectral moon casting an otherworldly glow.

Ia colossal obsidian throne, adorned with twisted gargoyles and ominous symbols, commands attention. Above, a vaulted ceiling features grotesque sculptures of mythical creatures, their eyes seemingly following Moprheus with an unsettling gaze.

The Vampire King sat atop the throne by his side the count stood motionless.

Morpheus looked around a small smile playing on his lips, "If I knew we were meeting in the throne room I would have worn something nicer," his playful remark didn't phase the vampires one bit

*Morpheus pov*

This meeting isn't going to go as planned, the problem with meeting with these magical races like goblins and vampires you can never use divination to see the right avenues.

Damn blockers, I might have abused divination in that regard during my first entrance into the scene of politics.

"Morpheus, I'm glad you arrived on time shall we begin our meeting?" Vladimir the king of the vampires asked with a curl of his lips

I chuckled, "Of course," I replied, "I heard some interesting things but, I remembered my old friend Vlad wouldn't make deals with such filth," I said ignoring the glare from Count Ambrose

Vlad smirked, "But what if I had Morpheus?" he asked with a dangerous glint passing through his eyes, "What if I had done the very thing you heard about?"

I smiled, "Why would you wish to damn your race to servitude? The Vlad I know wouldn't do such a thing!"

"Watch your tone!" Count Ambrose yelled his fangs flashing in anger

Vlad chuckled, "I do not take offense, Ambrose, when dealing with Morpheus you have to remember he has a way of drawing your anger out," he said with a slight glare

I assessed the situation my sense of danger flaring, "Now, Vlad why don't we get back on track? Did you or did you not make a deal with them," I said disgust bleeding through my voice

He eyed me evenly, "I have," he said slowly and deliberately, "Morpheus you must understand, I do not wish to ever make an enemy of you but, I cannot continue this cycle of fighting against them with you. My race has dwindled because of it!" his hand was balled into a fist

"What have they given you?" I ignored the point he made no use of arguing as he was right

"Freedom, we will be allowed to hunt and repopulate as we please!" He said with a grand crazed smile

Count Ambrose cut in, "And before you ask, the deal is binding they have no way of reneging on the deal, Morpheus we held this meeting to tell you ourselves we still value the friendship we have," the last word seemed to be forced out

Ha, this isn't good. They will help Tom siege Britain then the others will join and try to conquer the world.

I brought my hand to my forehead and acted like I was massaging my brow in anger and stress slipping a pill in my mouth as I did so.

"Had," I corrected the count, "Vladimir Dracul, you will regret this decision," I said a ghost of a smirk making its way onto my face

He sighed deeply, "I feared this would happen Morpheus, for the record I did value you as a friend,"

The stone statues adorning the ceiling remained frozen in their eerie poses, yet an uncanny sense of foreboding lingered in the air. Suddenly, without warning, the statues seemed to come alive, their grotesque forms descending with an otherworldly grace.

As I instinctively dodged the descending sculptures, my attention was drawn to Count Ambrose. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from his spot, leaving behind an unsettling void. The air thickened with an unspoken malevolence, and the castle's chilling ambiance seemed to intensify.

I felt something approaching my back, "iram solis!" (wrath of the sun) I yelled in anger causing a massive wave of light to flood the throne room

"ARGHHH!" the attendant from earlier melted like wax, he was the one approaching my back

Count Ambrose appeared in front of me screaming in pain but resisting the sunlight as he lunged at me sword in hand.

I sidestepped the blow while flicking my wrist, "Confringo," I whispered and felt as his head explode bits and pieces of it landing on my body

Danger flared and I quickly dodged but I was too late *shickk* swinging my hand back Vladimir flew backward away from me.

Looking down I groaned in pain as his sword was left in my stomach consuming my blood. I pulled it out and let it drop to the floor, the metal clanging onto the stone echoed throughout the hall.

Looking around I was surrounded, by thirty or more vampires, and the stone golems. Vladimir stood unharmed a smirk on his face, "Ambrose was against it you know? Had to follow my orders though can't say I'm sad about his death," his smirk infuriated me

They all rushed me at once, flicking my wand downward I pushed them back with a wave of magic, the pill was my saving grace.

"iram solis!" I roared once more but as the incantation left my mouth the moonlight seemed to twist around the hall consuming the sunlight

"That won't be happening again," A voice said behind me, a female vampire holding a crystal ball

They rushed me again, the gargoyles pouncing at me I frowned this wasn't going to go well.

My mind and body worked as one, I used Accio to pull the weakest-looking vampire I could spot in time to me as I slammed my wand onto the floor.

*BANG!* the vampires and gargoyles ran into the dome of magic I created to shield me from their advances

The vampire I pulled into the dome with me tried to regain his bearings but I quickly transfigured his clothes onto chains and then the floor into holds.

He will be stuck for a minute or two, taking Phoenix's ashes from my pouch I threw them at the floor, "Hogwarts!" I yelled but nothing happened

"Phoenix wards, a worthwhile purchase. You cannot escape Morpheus, they will be here soon and break the barrier, you will be dead before sunlight," His grin was maddening

I didn't reply as I took my ritual dagger from my robe and walked toward the trapped vampire.

*SHICK* "ARGHHH!" he screamed and hissed in pain as I carved intricate symbols into his body

"What are you doing!" I heard Vladimir yell in anger

I ignored him and continued to carve away, the vampire wreathed in pain as I continued my work.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" he yelled pounding onto the barrier

*shicckk* I plunged the dagger into the young vampire's stomach and began to cut it open

Peeling away the skin I pulled away the organs and bones setting them to the side in a pentagram pattern.

"Stop please," the vampire begged me but I ignored it

"inmortui sanguinis" (undead blood)

"porta ad mortem" (The gateway to death"

"sanguis in sanguine" "blood to blood"

The vampire began to seize, his screams of pain echoed across the hall as his undead blood began to pool to his gutted stomach.

"sit iter" (let it be a journey)

"sanguis in sanguine" (blood to blood)

"PRINCIPIO!" (OPEN!)

The blood glowed a crimson hue, standing I gazed at Vladimir, "Remember you started this Vladimir,"

I stepped forward into the pool of blood and began to sink down.

The army of Vladimir relentlessly pounded on the barrier fueled purely by my magic. Only possible by the pill.

*Narrator pov*

When Morpheus disappeared into the gut of the young vampire the barrier fell, and Vladimir rushed toward the young one hoping the portal was still there.

"RAHH!" he yelled in anger at the empty stomach

"We lost him!" he yelled

"What do we do now?" the vampire from earlier asked

"Call back everyone, prepare to defend our land, he might not come tomorrow or the next, perhaps months but he will come," he said darkly

"Why are we not preparing to hunt that human down!" a vampire yelled

Swiftly Vladimir ripped out its heart, "Anyone else want to say something idiotic?"

***

On the muggle side of Romania, a man crashed his car. His blood dripped slowly forming a pool.

Ambulance noises sounded in the background.

Those who stood away from the crash could have sworn they saw a man appear from the blood and promptly vanish.

No Morpheus did not cause the accident, the spell works by finding the closest pool of blood. Long chapter as an apology for missing some days
