79 A creeping darkness

*Narrator pov*

Within the heart of a foreboding forest, where twisted trees loomed and shadows danced, a pale wizard with red eyes strolled toward a formidable assembly of people. This group, clad in rugged attire, stood defiantly, their faces marked by a raw, untamed spirit that matched the wilderness surrounding them.

The pale wizard, draped in obsidian robes, met the gaze of these savage individuals with an air of grim acknowledgment. His hooded countenance revealed only a fraction of his features, but his blood red eyes seemed to almost glow ominously.

These people, not meek in the face of dark magic, stood as equals, their eyes gleaming with a fierce determination to battle if necessary. The air crackled with an electric tension as the wizard and this untamed assembly faced each other, both forces refusing to yield.

"I've come to open formal negotiations," the dark wizard's voice seemed to carry a charm to it but at the same time dominance

The leader of the group let out a low grunt almost like a growl "A wizard wanting to negotiate with us?" his body was tense ready to bolt into action any moment

The dark wizard smiled behind his hood, "Yes negotiate, leader of the blood moon pack I, Lord Voldemort greet you," he removed his hood showing his pale skin and a calm smile

"Lord Voldemort?" The pack leader said almost as if he was savoring the name of his next victim

Voldemort laughed, "Yes, and I have come to offer you something you can't refuse," he stepped closer to the lack leader

The pack leader stepped forward as well to not seem afraid, "What would that be?" he asked with narrowed eyes

Voldemort grinned, "Freedom! Freedom from the wizards that hunt you, shackle you, and claim you as nothing more than an animal that needs to be put down! Join me, and together we can rule Britain!" his voice oozed confidence and passion

The leader laughed, "Are you a fool! How am I supposed to believe the words of a madman," he was getting visibly irritated

Voldemort smirked, "Then believe in the words of a powerful madman," his wand appeared in his hand

The leader laughed, "You think you can defeat my whole pack by yourself?" his wand slipped into his hand

The werewolves around him followed their wands now in hand.

Voldemort, his crimson eyes ablaze, unleashed a torrent of dark spells, the green light illuminating the battlefield. The wizards, agile and well-trained, retaliated with a barrage of counter-curses and protective charms, creating a chaotic dance of magic in the night.

As the battle raged, flashes of light and bursts of smoke filled the air. Spells collided with explosive force, creating shockwaves that echoed through the desolate terrain. Voldemort, a master of the dark arts, moved with sinister grace, deflecting attacks and retaliating with deadly precision.

The air crackled with magical tension as the wizards retaliated with Stupefy, sending stunning spells toward the dark wizard. Voldemort deftly dodged and responded with Diffindo Maximus, the dark curse slashing through the air. Protego Horribilis, a powerful protective charm, shielded the wizards from the malevolent magic.

As the battle intensified, Confringo explosions lit up the night, and both sides Apparated with lightning speed to gain advantageous positions. Voldemort, a master of the dark arts, conjured Fiendfyre, a deadly magical fire, forcing the wizards to scramble and counter with Aguamenti to douse the flames but it didn't seem to help.

Amidst the chaos, Voldemort's malevolent laughter echoed, a chilling sound that sent shivers through the ranks of his opponents. Undeterred, the wizards pressed on, their determination fueled by the collective strength of their pack. Blood spills, bones break, and screams fill the air. Voldemort revels in the chaos and the despair he inflicts upon them!

Finally, Voldemort stood facing the pack leader the rest of the pack lay on the ground writhing in agony, "Do you accept my offer now?" his voice now condescending

The pack leader lowered his head, "I Dorian Night pack leader of the Blood Moon pack offer our assistance in taking over Britain,"

Voldemort's smile seemed to reflect the moon as he clasped Dorian on the shoulder, "Work hard,"

*Morpheus pov*

Hogwarts seemed to step into a familiar pattern once again. Teaching was fun but I wish there was some excitement around.

I sat in my classroom widdling away at a bone when my door opened, and Xenophilius arrived.

"Good, you are here, the first part of my teaching is to read this book," I tossed over an old book a book that has been around for centuries

Xenophilius looked disappointed, "What about you personally teaching me?" he frowned almost in a way a lost puppy would

I chuckled, "Read that book, learn that book devour that book until every word is engraved in your brain,"

He seemed freaked out by my words nodding he asked, "What's the name of the book?" looking at the blank cover

"The Tragedy of divination," I replied

"The Tragedy of divination?" he repeated in confusion while taking a seat

"Just read," I replied with a small chuckle

As he began to read I frowned. I hope he can get through that book. I personally wrote some of the last pages.

The tragedy of divination is very real. Divination is not one for the faint heart or one that has a weak mind.

Seeing so many possible futures and not being able to tell someone in fear of changing things. Or telling someone and then the future turns out worse?

It can lead a wizard into madness.

And it has for as long as I can remember, I had a tough time coming to the realization myself. I've had to commit atrocious acts to change things that I knew would happen.

They call me a monster.

I think I'm much worse than one. I used to not be able to sleep at night in fear of seeing a part of the future. And see a version of me failing my goal, leading humanity to its doom.

I grew, I evolved I did things no man should ever do, I experimented with magic no wizard should ever touch.

I forged myself into a new man, a man who is at peace with himself. The future I see is delicate but malleable and I need allies to help mold the future into one that favors the human race.

When I look at Xenophilius I see some of myself in him, just more carefree and quirky. He has potential, drive, and what every divination master needs.

A little bit of madness.

"Is this a journal?" Xenophilius asked his voice shaky while looking up at me

I nodded slowly, "More accurately it is a collection of divination masters journal entries. This book has been passed down for ages, you will read a collection of experiences and gain much from it,"

"It seems the first one spiraled into madness," Xenophilius said trying to lighten his spirits

"You will find most of them did," All of them is what I should say

"I see," he said downcast

If he can truly understand the lessons that the book conveys he will not only grow as a budding diviner but as a wizard.
