Chapter 8: Selection Ceremony

Red was sleeping on the cockpit seat, Hermione had come back and shook him. Feeling how someone moved him, he woke up and could see a Hermione with a somewhat annoyed expression, also in front of him two notices of two new abilities also appeared, but he decided to put them aside for the moment.

"How was it, did you manage to find the toad?" he ask as he stretches.

"No," she replied, somewhat annoyed, "but we're close to arriving and we have to change, so I told him to ask a teacher for help when we got there.

"Oh" exclaim with nothing more to contribute.

"We're getting there, we should change," Hermione reminded him.

"Okay" he said as he opened his suitcase and took the robe out of it.

He began to take off his top and while he was at it, bare chested, he heard a coughing sound used to attract attention. He looked behind him to see an angry and somewhat red girl.

"I think I'll go out, so you can change" she said, angry at the freedom that her partner took with her, but even so she was also embarrassed, and her gaze was nailed to her exposed body.

"No, wait... I'm sorry, I didn't realize it. I usually change my clothes in front of my sister without problems and I did it unconsciously, I'll go outside, and you can change in peace" He apologized remembering that she is a girl he had just met.

"Okay thanks" she said after giving a few discreet glances.

'At least remember to be a gentleman right now,' thought Hermione as she watched as Red walked out of the compartment half-naked.

"You don't plan on wearing anything" she said, dazed and a little nervous when she saw her partner walk out into the hall with nothing on but his pants.

"No problem, I'm not embarrassed. If it bothers you can change faster, I don't want to freeze out here"

'Actually it is true that I am not ashamed, thanks to my magic and training I had a good physique that made me look good. The main reason was because I liked how uncomfortable she was with this, she may be trying to appear like she mostly doesn't care, but I can tell how nervous she is, so I decided to enjoy it a bit more. I guess she never thought of being in a situation like this.'

She hesitated, but she went to change. Could be see the battle in her mind as she faced this situation. Inside the compartment she couldn't help but think that Red was outside in the eyes of everyone and at the same time remembering the charm that his body generates, even with those ideas in mind she tried to hurry up.

Meanwhile, outside, some students who were in a similar situation waiting for their classmates to change were watching him.

"Stop staring perverts, only ladies are allowed" Red yelled for all onlookers to hear.

They stopped looking at him immediately. The younger girls blushed shy and somewhat scared, the older ones looked more almost without any shame, enjoying the landscape, but without looking too hard; and most of the children cursed him inside when they heard what he said blaming them when it was him, the exhibitionist, but they didn't dare say it out loud because of the kind of fear inside them.

Ignoring the stares he began to check what the new abilities he got were, they were [Blood Control (Sleep)] and [Rest], so funny to get them after a nap.

The first is like all the previous ones. The second means that when you are in a safe place or a place that is used to rest such as your room, a tavern, a camp, or a seat in a park for example, the effect of rest is more effective. Depending on the security, comfort and quality of the place, I can have a rest that is 25% more effective at least to three times more effective at most.

A while after checking his abilities, the door behind him opened and Hermione came out in her wizard robes.

"I'm ready, you can come in"

He just nodded before going inside to change. He didn't close the door on purpose, and Hermione got angry again and slammed it herself.

"I didn't think you're a pervert" complained the frowning girl on the other side of the door

"It's you who was watching me," He said gracefully as he dressed.

"That... it wasn't my fault... you undressed in front of me... I was just surprised" She stammered a bit nervously, knowing that if she gave a few extra glances. She was only fascinated by his appearance, but she didn't feel that her looks would have been entirely decent when did them, so she felt a little guilty.

"Whatever you say" laughed the boy.

"You only do it to make fun of me" she reproached her realizing that he was playing with her.

"Perhaps"

"... I met your brother" she commented, leaving aside the previous talk.

"He must have said something bad about my truth" He said as he opened the door.

"Yes, I don't understand why he thinks those things about you, I thought that being your family would get to know you better"

She turned around a little afraid to see Red again, maybe even less dressed than she was before, but when she saw him dressed in his school outfit, she just relaxed and went back into the compartment.

"Well, we don't get along... I was a very different kid from the others, and my brother wanted everything an ordinary kid wants, while I didn't. We didn't have things in common and, in case you didn't notice, my looks can be intimidating to some people, so we had several conflicts"

"I still can't understand why they're so different if they're supposed to be twins. You're hardworking, cautious and independent, albeit with a bit of an annoying sense of humor" she said with a 'you know' look.

"Beautiful, attractive, witty, the envy of all men and the yearning of all women" he kept trying to simulate an arrogant tone.

"Narcissistic too" with a raised eyebrow.

"A little. I can't be perfect, or I'll set a high bar for the other guys"

They both laughed a little at their comical talk. Hermione understood that many of the things he said were jokes that seemed real because of his seriousness, but if she realized that he didn't mean it, she could be very funny. So she went on.

"Instead, your brother is..."

"Clumsy, vulgar and somewhat idiotic at times"

"Pretty much" she said disgusted, remembering her previous meeting.

"He complained about you defending me or something, right?" He understood after seeing her grumpy face.

"Yes, I don't understand what's wrong"

"Don't worry, it's nothing personal. He does the same thing when our sister defends me. Technically, he hates me, but his hate ends up diverting towards others. He's just an idiot, ignore it"

"We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please, leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately" Everyone on the train listened.

The train stopped when we reached the station in Hogsmeade. Hermione and Red walked down to the station and watched as most of the students got off the train, Neville, Harry and Ron could be seen among them.

"Look at that boy over there, it's Harry Potter, the one next to your brother" Hermione pointed out so that Red could see him.

"Hmm, I'm glad he made a friend" He replied, talking about his brother.

"That's not the important thing, don't you know who Harry Potter is? You're supposed to be the one from the wizarding world among us"

"I do know who he is, but the truth is that I don't really care"

"But..."

"He was a baby when it happened, it is not possible that what the books say is real, his fame is not well deserved"

"... you're right" She reflected, and although she doesn't like to accept that the books were wrong, she realized that his fame was a bit incongruous with reality.

"He's just another person, he's no different from you or any other kid. Don't treat him any different, may can hurt some people's feelings, I know that"

In that, while the older students headed towards some carriages in the distance, a lamp could be seen moving among the younger children, it was Hagrid the semi-giant key keeper of Hogwarts.

"First years! First years over here! All right there, Harry?" Hagrid's big furry face beamed with delight as he greeted Harry. "Come on, follow me... any more first years? Mind yer step, first years follow me!"

They all followed the bearded giant. Hermione was surprised to see this huge guide, he was over three meters tall. She was very curious because in the non-magical world it would be difficult to find such a big person.

They followed him down a narrow and difficult path, some children stumbled and Hagrid's speed was too fast for some children.

"He is a half-giant possibly, that's why he must be so big, but don't mention it, many half-humans are discriminated against and may feel offended on the subject.

"Okay...can I ask you a question?" She nodded and then asked something nervous.

"You already did"

"Another…" Hermione complained, rolling her eyes.

"What?"

"We are friends?" I ask very nervously, waiting for the answer.

"If you hadn't asked, I would have. I want to know too, Hermione Granger, do you want to be my friend?" he look very seriously at the girl in front of him.

"Yes of course, I would love to be your friend" she said happily and smiling the girl without paying attention to her feet causing her to almost fall head first to the ground "

"In a second, you'll have your first glimpse of Hogwarts" Hagrid's voice was heard "just around this bend"

All the children exclaimed in amazement in front of the immense castle that was seen in the distance, full of big and small towers. The narrow path opened suddenly at the edge of a large lake, on the shore were several boats.

"No more than four per boat!" Hagrid yelled.

Red and Hermione got into a boat along with a couple of identical girls of Indian descent, and the boat began to move alone down the river along with everyone else. In that, Hermione, seeing the girls who accompanied them, decided to introduce herself with her future companions.

"Hi, I'm Hermione Granger and this one here is Red Weasley, he looks bad, but he's a good person" she introduced herself and her friend to the two girls.

"Hello" Red said complementing his indifferent face.

"I am Padma Patil"

"and I am Parvati Patil"

Both twins said a little pressed with the presence of the red-haired boy.

"My pleasure, they are identical to each other" Hermione said curiously.

"Yes, we're twins, it's natural to look the same"

"Not all of them, his twin is completely different from him" she pointed to Red.

The two twins looked at each other in confusion, and Red just nodded at what Hermione had said.

"Well, we are not completely the same"

"yes, we like things we like different things, and we tend to disagree sometimes"

"Possibly, we will end up in different houses because of that, it will be new not always being together"

Red, upon hearing what the Patil twins said, also nodded knowing that they would end up in different houses, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, although he did not remember which one would go to which. "It's good that we are friends now, if we don't end up in the same house we can still get together to talk" He mentioned to Hermione, causing his new friend to realize that she had forgotten about that.

"You're right, I didn't think about that. Which house do you think you're going to? I think it would be nice to get into Gryffindor, Dumbledore was there though I think Ravenclaw isn't too bad either" she said quickly, once again excited.

"Calm down, you're already starting over… I don't know, I don't think I have a particular affinity with any of them, I don't think any of them are bad either. I already told you, we could still see each other anyway, it's not like that would separate us like that from nothing"

"Yes, I think you're right... What house are your brothers in?" She asks hoping to get an idea.

"They like all the Weasleys are in Gryffindor"

"oh you might be there too then"

While the talk lasted, the boats approached a grassy cave.

"Heads down!" Hagrid yelled, despite being the only one tall enough to have to duck.

They continued through the tunnel inside the cave until they reached a kind of dock, when the boats arrived at the shore all the children got out.

"Oy, you there! Is this your toad" said Hagrid, as he watched the children getting out of the boats.

"Trevor" Neville yelled, happy to find his toad.

Neville got his toad back thanks to Hagrid, and then they all continued to follow the giant down the stone passageway to a castle courtyard. Then up stone steps until they ended up in front of a large wooden door, where Hagrid knocked on the door three times.

-Red Pov-

The door opened and a serious, dark-haired woman dressed in a green robe stepped out. She was Minerva McGonagall, my future Transfiguration teacher, as with everyone else she looked different from the movies, but despite that she did look the same or more strict.

"The first years, Professor McGonagall" said Hagrid.

"Thank you very much, Hagrid. I'll take you from here" she said to continue leading us to a room.

"Welcome to Hogwarts" said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory, and spend free time in your house common room.

The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history, and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours.

The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting" The teacher's eyes lingered for a moment on Neville's cloak, which was tied below his left ear, and on Ron's stained nose. She then looked at me, and it seemed like she was a bit surprised by my appearance, but she quickly brushed it aside, "I'll be back when we get everything ready for the ceremony."

The teacher leaves and the students start talking around us. I can hear Ron and Harry talking about how they'll be sorted, and then I hear the other kids wondering the same thing.

"Red, how do you think they selected us?"

"Duel to Death"

"What?! You're kidding right? Don't try to be funny, it doesn't suit you" Hermione complained not believing what I said.

"Well, I'm the one from the magical world and I think I know our customs better than you, but believe what you want to believe"

"hmmp" she snorted, still not believing what I said, but she clearly got a bit nervous.

Just then, the children around us let out a small cry as semi-transparent white beings floated through the walls around us while talking to each other. Hermione was a little tense and grabbed my arm.

"Don't worry, they're just ghosts, dead people" I said indifferently but laughing inside myself. Although it's not that I'm not really impressed, the fact of being able to see real ghosts is amazing, I want to try so many things. I wonder if they let me put my hand inside them?

"Clearly I know that they are ghosts and that they are people who have died, but even so they make me a little uneasy, in the non-magical world they are only fantasy" She said squeezing my arm involuntarily at first, but she talked until she relaxed and released it.

"The Selection Ceremony is going to begin" was heard the voice of Professor McGonagall who had returned, when she appeared, the ghosts went where they came from.

Following her in single file with Hermione behind me, we entered a large room with four tables full of students. The interior gave me the impression of being the throne room of a great castle, only instead of a throne there was a long table with several teachers and the headmaster. The architectural styles inside the castle were impressive in my opinion, also the long tables gave a great feeling of a royal banquet. I could see my brothers at the Gryffindor table.

In the air there were thousands of candles that lit up the entire room, which I thought was decorative, but not very practical, and on the ceiling you could see a starry sky that was really beautiful.

"It's a spell to make it look like the sky outside, I read about it in 'Hogwarts: A History'" Hermione told me in my ear as she looked at it

"I like it, when I have my own home I'll make sure I have something like that, maybe a little rain" I replied to which she nodded thinking it would be an interesting idea.

Professor McGonagall stopped in front of us by a four-legged stool, where there was a patched old hat. Within seconds a tear the size of a mouth appeared on the hat from which it began to sing.

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find

A smarter hat than me... ""

I completely ignored the singing. It was fascinating for those just entering the wizarding world, and entertaining for wizards who have little music to entertain them, but for me, it was a 6 or 7 out of ten. I turned on my own music to listen to in my head for entertainment, I put on some Japanese for a change '...fumareta hana no namaemo shirazu ni...' I almost started to move to the beat of the music, but managed to control myself to avoid embarrassment, that despite not showing on my face, would have followed me until my death.

The hat finished his performance and bowed to the four tables to applause.

Professor McGonagall came forward with a large scroll "When I call you, you must put on your hat and sit on the stool to be selected"

A thud and a slight moan was heard among the students, Hermione had punched me in the shoulder when she heard the teacher say that they would select us by putting on a hat. I could only laugh inside while rubbing my arm, if Hermione wasn't a witch she should become a boxer.

"Abbott, Hannah!" She was the first girl to be selected, and after a moment she was heard.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Bones, Susan!" She continued.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Boot, Terry!"

"RAVENCLAW!"

...

The students continued to pass and received ovations from their respective tables, nothing big enough, no change in what it would have been without my presence in the world. Don't pay much attention to it until you hear it.

"Granger, Hermione!"

There I focus on what it were going to say, it takes a little time.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

It's no surprise, I thought maybe it would change something, but it didn't, it doesn't bother me, but I don't know if it will be the best. I heard Ron growl unhappily 'if you only knew how many times she's going to save your ass that girl, you'd be glad she's in Gryffindor' I said to myself.

Hermione gave me a look before proceeding to the table of lions and being greeted with applause like everyone else. The selection continues and the Neville incident also happened, poor boy, he's out of luck and these embarrassments don't help his self-esteem.

The Patil twins were also selected in different houses, it will be easier to distinguish them from a distance I suppose. Then it was Harry Potter's turn, when this name was heard there were 'whispers' from all the tables, even the teachers at the table next to the headmaster paid great attention to the boy.

"Potter, did she say?"

"The 'Harry Potter'?"

Seriously they are all curious... it's not that I'm jealous of his fame, in fact if I were him I might go crazy because of it, but, by God, it shows that the magical world has little entertainment to worship the victory of a baby without question anything.

After a while of Harry sitting in the chair debating with the hat, it was heard in the absolute silence of the room.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Gryffindor's screams were especially loud when they heard it. When he got to the table I saw my brother Percy shake his hand strongly in greeting while Fred and George yelled "We've got Potter! We've got Potter!" Everyone at his table.

After that the selections were normal, and I only paid attention again when it was my brother's turn.

"Weasley, Ronald!"

"GRYFFINDOR!"

He walked out with a smile as he was congratulated by Percy and the others, I would have wondered what his face would be like if he hadn't been sorted into Gryffindor. Then my name could be heard

"Weasley, Red!"

Seriously, who makes that list? I'm older than Ron, and my name by alphabet goes first. Maybe it's random or whoever did it didn't pay attention. Everyone in the room looked at me as I made my way to the stool, everyone had strange looks on their faces. They began to pay attention to me because of my funny name, some did not know that there would be more than one Weasley in the same year, others were intrigued by my appearance being so particular and different from the previous Weasleys, some children with fear. Even the director paid some attention when he saw me.

When I sat on the stool I could see how everyone looked at me with intrigue, some children with low mental strength or low self-esteem like Neville felt intimidated by my presence.

'Hmm... intriguing, you are the most peculiar person I have ever met, you have put me in the strangest situation in my long existence...' I heard a whisper in my ear.

"Yes?" I replied to the hat "too little suitable for none? or too suitable for all?" I asked curious what my situation would be.

'Neither of the two, my main role is to see the inside of each child to put him in the most suitable house for each one, no matter what methods they use to protect their minds, no one can escape my sight because I look more into his essence than in their minds... but you... I have nothing. It's the first time I can't read someone, everything I see in you is covered in absolute black... I can't recommend you to any House... you'll have what to choose for yourself

This is curious, I knew I had natural barriers in my mind that protected me, but I didn't think they would go that far, it may be a good thing, but now, which one do I choose?

I don't plan to be in Gryffindor, Hermione may be there, but my brother is too. Also, for sure they put me in the same room as him and Harry and that's a no. I don't plan on being that close to them tying myself to their crusade, I'll have my own crusade my way on a different ship.

Hufflepuff is located near the kitchen, which is a plus point, but nothing more. On the other hand, everyone there is very sociable with each other and that's practically my opposite, I couldn't tolerate so many people trying to start a conversation, it's not that I'm an asocial person as my face shows, but I can't stand the accumulation of people either.

Slytherin doesn't have many qualities, I wouldn't be accepted mainly because my family is considered a traitor amongst the purebloods, but that would also solve the problem I would have had in Hufflepuff. I'd rather hang out with a few friends than a group of acquaintances. The main thing is that in Fanfic that I have read in my previous life Slytherin had individual rooms for the students, I can't guarantee that it is in reality, but it would be great to finally have a room for myself, but if the situation were different surely I would be in the same bedroom as Malfoy, and it would be worse than Ron and I don't think I can go to the kitchen if I find him annoying like at home. I don't think the elves will let me sleep there.

Luna will be in Ravenclaw in the future and they have their own collection of books, but that would not prevent me from meeting her, since it is the most accessible house for someone with half a brain or patience, I also do not like to concentrate only on theoretical study Although I could get along, it wouldn't make a difference either.

I thought for a while as I rubbed my chin, everyone in the room was confused as to why it took me so long to be selected when all the Weasleys so far almost instantly went to Gryffindor, this also intrigued the teacher to my right.

After looking at the Gryffindor table where I saw Harry and Ron I smiled a little and said to myself 'who cares, let Troy burn'.

'Are you sure of that boy...'

"Yes, thanks for giving me time to choose Mr. Hat"

'No problem my strange friend, good luck in your life at Hogwarts'

The stage murmurs stopped when the hat spoke once more after so long.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Everything was silent, no one in this place thought that it could even be possible, only the first years did not understand why so much astonishment. I went to my table without being greeted by anyone, while everyone looked at me.

No one understood how a Weasley could be with snakes, nor could the snakes themselves. The traitor was not supposed to follow them, even his hair of all his brothers was more in tune with his Gryffindor enemies, but still he was here, some of them considered it an insult. Malfoy almost jumped to object that it was an insult and shouldn't be accepted.

On the other hand, I could see a Hermione with a confused and desperate face, and, on one side was Ron telling Harry "See, I told you, it's like the other vipers" with my brothers who were also staring at me.

Headmaster Dumbledore was also frowning slightly along with who should be Snape.

This did not last long, as Professor McGonagall continued with the Sorting Ceremony. At the Slytherin table, no one said a word to me, they just stared, some out of contempt and others intimidated by my auras. Shortly after the selection ended, and the teacher took the stool and the hat.

Headmaster Dumbledore got up from his chair. I couldn't tell him much apart from his counterpart in the movie, his beard makes it difficult, it's much brighter, but it's so iconic that just looking at it you say 'that's Dumbledore'. He caught everyone's attention before he could speak.

"Welcome! Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I want to say a few words to you. And here you are, Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!... Thank you very much!"

After those words the tables were filled with food, they looked amazing and there was a lot of variety. I focused mainly on enjoying the food while others missed it by judging me, I don't know if it was a good choice, but I will refrain from the consequences.

At some point the bloody baron appeared, but I ignored him while enjoying the food and just gave me a look before continuing his tour. Malfoy seemed to speak to him and complain about my presidency to him, but he seemed annoyed that he had to put up with everything said the child.

I played music with my ability, to eat quietly and ignore the outside. The ghost baron looked directly at me and not like before, the ghosts from other tables did the same. The Baron walked over to me and stood with his body superimposed on my plate of food.

"I hear music coming out of your body young wizard" said the Baron, confusing the other nearby students

"Can you hear it?" I asked in amazement.

"Yeah, it's interesting, I've never listened to that style of music... I'm surprised that it seems like no one apart from us ghosts listens to it"

"If the other ghosts want I can turn up the volume, but ask them discreetly, I don't want to cause a ruckus" I told him as I ran my hand through his body to reach my food. It felt cold and slightly thick.

The baron nodded and went to other tables, while around me, they were trying to think if it was true about the music they didn't seem to hear. Shortly after he returned and looking at the other tables, I saw the ghosts agree and I put the music so that it resonates throughout the room, it would hurt my ears if it wasn't just in my mind.

"Hey Weasley, what happened, someone died on your head" Malfoy spoke mockingly over my blood-red hair.

"Yeah…the last person to call me by 'hey Weasley' Malfoy" I replied as I continued eating.

"Don't try to scare me Weasley, we all know that yours are more laughable than scary"

"In case you don't see, I'm different from 'mine' and I didn't want to scare you anyway... I don't like bullying mentally retarded kids" I said without looking him directly in the eye, as I chewed on my baked potato.

This earned the laughter of some of the first years, but the anger of the other purebloods at the table.

"What did you call me?!" Malfoy yelled.

"hmmm...besides being retarded, deaf, what did your parents do to deserve this" I put my hand on my head with feigned pity.

"You think you can make fun of me however you want, we all know that the Weasleys have no power and cannot be compared to any of us. Your father is just another worker inside a ministry office, while my father has the power to kick yours out at any moment. As poor as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if they starved to death in one day.

This causes the laughter of the older students. At that moment the food table changed to desserts and while removing a pudding from the table.

"My parents may not have as much money as yours, but at least all their children have normal mental faculties. It seems that each one has what the other lacks"

I could see how he turned red with fury at the mention that he had mental problems, it was funny how angry he got. He tries to keep yelling at me, but I ignore him with my music. I don't know half of the things he said, but I didn't worry too much, currently, due to my blood magic strengthening me, my magic power had reached the second years according to my guess and would continue to increase with time, So I have an advantage against people of the same age.

Desserts were removed, although I could have eaten more.

-While this was happening, at the Gryffindor table-

Hermione ate without much enthusiasm, since she hadn't been able to end up in the same house as her friend, but she got to talking to the prefect about upcoming classes, which might cheer her up a bit.

"See Harry I told you he was a dark wizard, I knew he would end up in Slytherin, there was no other place he could be" Ron told Harry with some happiness that he had been right.

"But not everyone in Slytherin is a dark wizard, right?" Harry asked

"Yes Ron, if I were you I wouldn't say it out loud, what if Red listens to you?" (Fred)

"Yes, if it were true, you could be his first victim" (George)

"I would if I were him" (Fred)

"We'll put flowers on your grave if it happens" (George)

"Or when it happens" (Fred)

"I don't know any good ones, if he's with them, it means he's just as evil too" Ron replied to Harry ignoring Fred and George, although he lowered his tone with some fear.

"You can't say that about your brother, he's a great wizard," Hermione yelled as she listened to Ron.

"What do you know, you've only known him for a few hours, I've lived with him forever, and I can assure you that he hates everyone around him and awaits their misfortune"

"I may not have spent as much time with him as you, but I know him well enough to know that not even ten of you can compare to one of him."

"And if you like him so much, why don't you go to the same house as him and stop bothering us?" Ron yelled angrily at the girl who opposed him and compared him to his gloomy brother.

"I'd rather be in the same house as him, but being in a different house than yours would be second best"

"Calm down Ron" Percy told him seeing how he caused a scene and then turned to Hermione, "I apologize on behalf of Ron, he usually gets like that about Red. Red is not bad as he says, in fact I do think he will become a great wizard With the effort he puts into studying, he's just something different than normal" he completed as the twins nodded.

"He may be a great wizard, but not one of the good ones. I'd bet my Scabbers that he'd end up becoming a Death Eater if he got the chance," said Ron.

"Ron you're already overdoing, you don't want me to tell mom what you said" Percy scolded him to which Ron quickly shut up.

"Yeah, you should shut up, your brother told you that Slytherins aren't evil wizards," Hermione said with a smirk on her face.

"I didn't say that, in fact Ron is right that Slytherin has produced several dark wizards, some students are sons of Death Eaters."

That made Hermione's face pale now, not because she believed Red would become a dark wizard, but because she feared for her friend's safety here.

-Back to Red-

"Ahem... just a few more words now that we are all fed and watered. I have a few start-of-term notices to give you. First years should note that the forest on the grounds is forbidden to all pupils. And a few of our older students would do well to remember that as well" Dumbledore's eyes darted in the direction of my brothers.

He kept giving the 'Cautions' to the students, but I ignore them. It's not like anyone ends up paying attention to what he says every year, it proves to be quite the opposite, actually.

"And now, before we go to bed, let's sing the school song!" Dumbledore exclaimed.

Then waved his wand and a gold ribbon floated over each table to later become the lyrics of the Hogwarts song.

"Let everyone choose his favorite tune!"

Everyone started singing completely uncoordinated, it was torture. At the end, when they finished, only my brothers were still singing with a funeral march tune.

"Oh, the music!" He said wiping his eyes, "A magic beyond anything we do here! And now, it's time to go to bed."

Slytherin prefect Gemma Farley called us first years to follow her, she guided us to the dungeons and on one of the walls she said "Extraordinary lineage" with which the wall revealed a passage.

"The password changes every week, it will be noted on the board in the common room"

When we entered we saw a hall of ancient architecture with several snakes carved on the walls and columns, there are several green lamps as well as carpets and decorations, too green for my taste. There are also large glass-covered windows through which you can see the black lake, a large fireplace, armchairs and other furniture that looks very delicate and luxurious.

The prefect guided us to the entrance of the sleeping area.

"Well, the girls to my left and the boys to the right, can find their stuff in their room on their bed next to their mates. They are reminded that boys cannot enter the girls' bedroom without suffering the consequences"

The children were already tired and quickly wanted to go to sleep, so they went to find their rooms. When I was about to go find mine, the prefect stopped me and I could see how Malfoy had a big smile on his face, I guess they talked before, well, let's see what Malfoy's revenge can be.

"I'm sorry, but we didn't expect many boys in Slytherin this year, and we miscalculated the distribution of the dormitories, but we have a special place for cases like these" She said with a clearly faked apologetic smile that was visibly mischievous.

"Okay" didn't bother me, I was really curious what they planned.

She led me to a small door in a secluded part and opened it. Behind it is a small rectangular room with nothing but a small bed and an old dim lamp on one of the walls, although calling it a bed was saying a lot, as it looked more like a table with a piece of towel on it than it. The ceiling was very low, if I were to stay here for the rest of my stay at Hogwarts I'm sure there would be a point where I would have to stoop in order to stay here. And the most important thing is that on one of the side walls, the one opposite the one where the bed was supported, it was written in big letters "Mudblood", I suppose that this room was used for another class of cases.

"Cozy don't you think" The prefect said from the door after pushing me inside "although I think there are things to correct" then she waved her wand and the word 'Mudblood' changed to 'Blood Traitor' "Much better don't you think" she said with a mischievous smile.

"So I'm going to be alone here" I asked.

"Yes, this is a room that only you could use…" she began to say before being interrupted.

"Great…Colloportus" I said as I waved my wand.

The door slammed in Gemma's face, but I didn't care, and it seems neither did she, since I didn't try to open it even though I heard her cursing at me outside the room. I was not interested, I was very happy with my situation, I thought it would end with Malfoy when she said we would have roommates, but now I have my own room. Finally, a room for myself, no matter how bad it is I can say it's mine, although it lacks a few tweaks.

I went to the bed where my suitcase was and opened it to find my things and go to sleep, a long life awaits me at Hogwarts.
