42 The Place Where Dreams Come True

Adam snapped his fingers, and all the ice thawed.

The butterflies flew towards him and circled behind him before exploding.

''Welcome to the club,'' he said, arms outstretched and a smile.

The whole room returned to normal, and the tables and other furniture returned.

The five were stunned for a moment. In the last few minutes, they had witnessed a form of magic they had never seen before.

Hermione was one of the most shaken. Although, Terry and Anthony were also quite affected.

Terry and Anthony were Ravenclaw, they read books and studied. These new ideas and logic breaks presented to you today were without a doubt revolutionary.

Hermione was a true bookworm and a student who memorized knowledge. Today, Adam has destroyed almost every foundation she had.

His basis for how magic worked, the rules he should follow, teachings

and logic passed down by generations of great wizards, all thrown to the winds.

What Adam presented them with today was like an earthquake that came to shake the entire building. And if they wanted to get back on their feet, they needed to reinforce that foundation, add and remove things, they needed to accept being little frogs at the bottom of the well, who had just reached the top, only to realize that outside, it was a much bigger world. Then they thought.

And that was difficult, accepting that was complicated. Accepting being wrong, accepting that you learned wrong, that the rules were wrong, and that the so-called great wizards, maybe, like them, were frogs at the bottom of the well.

Adam said nothing for a moment, letting the five of them feel what they were supposed to feel, understand and think for themselves. The human being tended to deny what he did not understand.

On one side you had Adam, showing a form of magic that seemed unrealistic, illogical, and different from what was said right.

On the other side were hundreds of thousands of books, describing studies and ways of thinking that led to another form of magic.

''Can we learn this?'' Harry asked, taking a step forward. ''

Adam looked at Harry, he could see in the young man's eyes that he wanted what Adam promised.

Control your destiny.

Protect those you love.

Harry, more than anyone, wanted that.

''It's all up to you guys,'' Adam said, looking around at the five of them. ''When they chose to stay in the room, I had accepted them as members of the club.''

Adam opened his hand and a small flame appeared in his palm, he made a movement and threw the flame to his other hand, and the fire jumped from one hand to the other.

''When we learn magic at Hogwarts, we only learn how to do something that's in the books. Some of us just memorize what the books say and take it for granted. Not for a moment did trying to understand what line of thinking led the author of the book to reach such a conclusion. The plastered way of thinking is something dangerous, and makes them mediocre.''

''Today I opened your eyes,'' he said, his voice soft. ''But it's up to you to open your minds. ''

Looking at the five, he continued.

'' In the way that I am going to teach you, you must remember that your mind will always be your greatest weapon, and your feelings your fuel. If you doubt yourself, if you doubt what you can do, you have not achieved anything. '' He paused and closed his hand to extinguish the fire, his voice more aggressive. ''You are the wizards, you control the magic, the magic is part of you, whether it's making something float or burning a city to ashes.''

Adam's words seemed to light a flame within the young wizards.

Who didn't want power?

Who had no one to protect?

Who doesn't want to be able to control their destiny?

Everyone wanted something, and today Adam was introducing them to something that would allow them to get it.

''Before I begin, I need to say a few words.'' Adam changed the subject. ''We will have some rules and concepts, not many, but you must remember well. ''

Ensuring that the five were listening well, he said:

''First, one should not talk about what happens inside the club to others.

You must not teach anything you learn here to other people, even if it is a relative or friend.

All members should help each other if needed. It doesn't matter if a member is from a different house, here we don't have Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw.

Here we have fellow wizards, seekers of knowledge, and lovers of magic.

We don't have a competition here, what we have is a place where knowledge is shared, where questions are asked, and we chase the answers.

Any knowledge that a member understands must be shared with others.

''

As Adam spoke, a golden plaque appeared on one of the walls, and letters appeared one after the other, forming what he had said.

''And last and most important. '' He said, a new board popping up on the side, just for the next sentence.

''There is no such thing as good and evil, there is only power and those who are too weak to get it.''

His voice was firm, and he looked at the five of them. ''Remember this''

The young wizards present echoed Adam's words for themselves. They could understand that here would be different, it would be a place to learn and evolve together.

The last sentence was strong and made them think about what it takes to seek power.

Sometimes, on the road to power, it would be necessary to take detours, and those new paths would not always be brilliant…

Harry had his eyes fixed on the gold plate, with dark letters, where the sentence was written. It wasn't the first time he heard that phrase.

I could almost hear the snake's face whisper, talking about power….

Now, he heard Adam say the same thing, the sentence held the same power... the same intensity, after all, it was indeed the same sentence. But now, it was like when Adam spoke, it wasn't like the icy whisper of a cold night.

''So where do we start? '' Terry asked excitedly. Breaking Harry's and the others' train of thought.

Now, everyone forgot to reflect on the words and looked at Adam attentively.

That was the question the others wanted to ask too, everyone wanted to know where to start, and what to learn first.

Creating fire out of thin air?

Creating ice butterflies?

Bird made of flames?

Adam looked at the five of them and smiled.

''First, you start with this,'' I said, pointing to five small objects that appeared on top of one of the tables.

Terry and the others looked at the objects and were confused.

''A pencil? '' Isabella asked, picking up one of the pencils. It looked about as ordinary as a pencil could be.

Adam laughed and explained. ''Yes, a pencil. Sit on the pads and try to move the pencil with nothing but your will. When they achieve this, they will be ready to learn any other magic.''

Adam had started with the pencil and thought that would be a good place to start with.

''A little council, remember what I said, your feelings are the fuel, so try to use it. ''

While moving the pencil seemed simple, it wasn't. If for Adam, who already had a more open mind, it wasn't intuitive, as it would be for young people shown in rules.

''This is a joke, right? '' Terry asked jokingly. ''I can do this with my eyes closed''

Anthony beside him rolled his eyes and laughed at his friend. Wasting no time, he picked up the pencil and looked for a corner to sit in.

Anthony knew Adam, and he knew when his friend was serious. Besides, he could briefly understand the logic behind this pencil exercise, based on what Adam said.

It wasn't just Anthony, Harry, Hermione, and Isabella who also took their pencils and sat down somewhere in the room.

Adam found Terry's statement amusing.

''If you can move the pencil by the end of the day, I'll create a card of you for the next Deck I create,'' Adam said, his words making Terry's eyes gleam.

''Don't go back on your word,'' Terry said, quickly looking for a place to start.

''I swear on my honor as a Gryffindor,'' Adam said.

He looked at the five who were staring at the pencil with funny expressions and chuckled.

'Did I make these expressions? ' He asked himself, grateful that he didn't have anyone to see him at the time when he trained alone in his room.

Adam sat in a corner of the room and watched the five of them.

He wanted to see how each of them would behave if anyone would have the slightest effect if he could feel their spells reacting.

Perhaps now, for Adam, the five were like his objects of study and experiment.

So the afternoon passed, and as expected, nothing happened.

Adam had a goofy smile on his face. In front of him, the five had funny expressions, caused by the frustration of not being able to make even the pencil swing, even after hours.

''Don't get too worked up, even I needed some time to get it done'' He said, trying to lighten the mood.

''Serious? '' Hermione asked, her hair now a mess she's had an afternoon of frustration.'' How long did it take you? ''

Adam opened his mouth to respond, but gave up and smiled, scratching his cheek. ''I better not say.''

He knew that if he did, it would be more of a blow than an exemption.

''Don't feel pressured, I didn't expect you to make it the first day, even the first week.'' His words were harsh, but it was the truth.

''What did we do wrong?'' Harry asked, his face the most serious of the five, he wanted to understand what he did wrong, and how he could improve it.

''It's the feelings, the will. You can't control it very well.'' He said, explaining.'' Even for ordinary spells, with the wand and the incantation, it takes will and intention. But it's too little, after all, it's just one of many factors for conventional spells.''

''Here, you have no help from wands or magic words. So they need much greater will, determination and concentration.''

''Today, when you go to sleep, I want you to think about what you felt when you were in the illusion'' Adam said, and his words made the five remember the illusions, and their faces changed, they didn't like those memories.

''Memories are great sources of feelings, happiness, frustration, fear, anger, hate, envy, and desire. Whatever the feeling, it is effective as long as it is a strong feeling within you.

''Think of the song your hands sang in your childhood, when your Quidditch team won, when someone lost, whatever the feeling, whatever the memory, choose something that makes you feel that feeling, that makes you cry. , scream, smile, or makes you hate. ''

His voice seemed to sway those who heard it and the feelings within the five already reacted.

''I want you to choose a feeling, be it a distant memory, something recent, the illusion, or even the frustration you feel now. Choose this feeling, feel it, absorb it, cry, scream, smile, hate it, today, when you are alone, I want you to do this, and keep what you feel well.

The five nodded their heads.

''You still haven't said the name of the club,'' Terry said as soon as the door opened.

Adam was surprised for a moment before laughing, he had forgotten that part.

''The name of the club is '' He thought for a while and smiled as he answered.

''Sorcerer Society''

With his voice, just above the door, shiny golden letters seemed to be carved into the wall.

''Sorcerer Society - The place where dreams come true''

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leave your opinion about the symbol that represents the club.

I thought of two options.

The floating island.

Or

An open door that showed another world.

Or the combination of the two, an open door and the floating island inside.

I hope you give some tips too, I wanted something connected to magic or something that has already been in history.

If it wasn't cliché, I could use that symbol of the three deathly hallows. But I feel like it doesn't make sense, although I like it.
